[Game Thread] Pokerole Mystery Dungeon: Primal Shadows

Oh wheeeeee as the nasty spiderweb has been cleared, exactly THAT happens that Kee was expecting would happen: The creator of said spiderweb doesn't appreciate their fine work being messed with at all, in response to their loud chittering Kee hisses sharply. He doesn't even flinch upon two additional Pokemon - Zubat - screech at them all over their annoyance of being rudely awoken from their sleep.

In fact, he hides a sly and semi-aggressive smile himself. "Oh, I'm so sorreh for not being sorreh that we cut yar web, but unfortunately it's been IN OUR WAY. If ya're thinkin' that we're d'fenseless prey, then I'm sorreh for havin' to d'sappoint ya on THAT too! If ya WANT somethin' then COME N' GET IT, bein' aided by those Zubat won't save ya!!~" As he bristles his fur and takes a stance to LEAP at one of said Zubat directly, he yells towards the others: "Peopleeeeee, betcha know that Spinarak are pois'nous and we're lacking berries to cure this, so PLEASE get 'em down 'S FAST S' YA CAN! Kogeki, Karen, I've got yar back, I'VE GOT YAR BACK, dontcha fear a spectral startle the Zubat might give ya!!"


Enough talking, time for taking SOME ACTION!!1!!11!!

Accuracy Roll Kee's Tackle on Zubat A: 2 Dext + 2 Fight + 0 Brawl + 2 Single Action Bonus = 6d6, just enough to potentionally crit

Furthermore, if any of the two Zubat aim to use an SE-Astonish at Karen or Kogeki, Kee will intercept and take this attack for them as it won't affect him at all due to his partial Normal Type.

[Spiritmon]

Kogeki his head in agreement toward Kee request. He take the Kunai in his back and use both hands to hold said weapon. "Pyra, can I request your help to take down that Spinarak? Even with my Speed, I dont know if I can even deal to much damage."

Despite his lack of speed, he decided to put everything he can with his attack. In a second, he disapear from the place he was, and on second later, Kogeki appear right in the front of Spinarak, his Kunai ready to decimate some good old damage against Spinarak! "Quick Attack!"

Effect: Priority Attack. Lets hope this move at least Crit...

Dax grits his teeth and yells, "Piss off, cave rats!" before brandishing his claws. He snarls menacingly at a Zubat not being attacked before leaping at it and wildly Scratching it.

Kogeki moves faster than Spinarak was anticipating, jumping ahead in the initiative order to strike them before they can move!

The Zubat are used to working together as a team.  The first one screeches at whoever it thinks is the largest threat.

...while the second flies straight at one of their enemies, looking for an easy KO!  The divebomb cannot be automatically intercepted, as Zubat B is using a Contact move, and just flies around any potential obstacles to attack its target!

Karen yelps as the Astonish hits her, and decides to definitely hide behind Pyra.  There's too many pokemon that are able to hit her for a lot of damage right now!

Karen takes cover behind the much larger Devimp!  Full Cover from Ranged moves!

Meanwhile, Pyra bravely stands in place, defending the fair maiden!

Ember

...only for her attempt at summoning fire to result in producing only a tiny amount of flame, likely because this is her first time attempting this, and an Ember isn't as simple to use as a Scratch or Tackle.  The attack's not enough to damage much of anything, and Spinarak doesn't seem to be afraid of attacking the Fire type.

Speaking of which, the spider pokemon fires a barbed, poisonous projectile at the Fire type! Or rather, it was fired at Karen, and it hits Pyra instead.

Pyra stumbles a little as she feels the poison in the attack trying to dizzy her, but she manages to fight off the effects of the attack this time.

Cave Dwellers Round 2

Dax snarls at the weakened Zubat B and gnashes his teeth. He grinds his claws together and decides to try something a little different. He takes a deep breath, and launches a flurry of bubbles at the two Zubat.

Dax has an Instinct of 2 which allows him to use moves that cost 10 exp or less to use

Damage: 3 Power + 2 Special + STAB = 6 D6
Additional Effects: 1 D6 for a chance to lower the opponent's dexterity by 1

[Lord Windos]

Wincing just a bit as she felt the Spinarak's venomous barb dig into her skin, Pyra's look turns even meaner and more determined than ever toAccuracy of the char that arachnid to a crisp before it can give her or her partners a deadily dose of Poison. Once more, she attempts to scorch the green little spider with Embers, this time hoping her literal firepower problems are just beginner's bad luck with harnessing her Flames. No no no, she can't fail again, or the next Poison Sting from the foul chitenous fiend might spell her end!

Orders: Same as last time in its entirely: Defend Karen, and blast Spinarak with Ember with better results, dice be willing. Accuracy for Ember should remain the same as last time, so I won't relist it here. Let us slay these beginner foes this Round or the next, once and for all!

[Spiritmon]

Kogeki make a quick cut in Spinarak abdomen using his Kunai. It was not big enough to be lethal, but it was enough to hurt Spinarak feelings. 

He jump in the closest wall, and again use another Quick Attack against Spinarak, this time in one of his limbs!

Damage: Power(2)+STR(2)=4D6
Effect: Priority Attack. Let's try Critical again.

Those ultrasonic waves from one of the Zubat nicely amplified the headache Kee's still suffering to a degree where they made him feel all dizzy and disorientated on one hand, and nicely raised his anger and displeasure by 100%. As he yells out, his very own voice rings within his head painfully, but he doesn't care. "STAHP mindf#ckin' me, go mess with some hyooman but NAT with me!!1!" He was about to avenge that when a shot Poison Sting rapidly changed his mind and made him avert his attention to the spider it came from. "Ohhh, tryin' to taget our immune system 'n infest it with some toxins, aren't ya? Well, NOT UNDER MY WATCH!!" 


Shaking himself in an attempt to clear his mind, he charges right at Spinarak.

Once more, Kogeki rapidly zips towards Spinarak, using the terrain and shadows to his advantage to strike from an angle the spider isn't expecting!

Meanwhile, Zubat B decides to attack Daxter instead, deciding that he's also rather dangerous.

Daxter's pokemon instincts take over, determined to end this fight or flight battle by using a move that Daxter wasn't even sure how to use just a few seconds ago!  A barrage of bubbles assault the bat pokemon!

Kee's not sure what exactly is going on around him anymore.  He just knows that he needs to fight and hit stuff!

Fortunately, he's hitting the enemy instead of himself.

As Spinarak falls off the web and drops to the ground, unconscious, Karen yelps again from being hit by another Astonish.  "You meanies!  Pick on someone else!"

Karen's yell just so happens to turn into an attack, catching both of the Zubat off guard!

Disarming Voice

The cave becomes quiet once the wild pokemon faint.  Kogeki can't sense any other pokemon in the room, either.  Looks like this battle is over!

Everyone gets 4 exp!  Good job!

(Except Pyra, but at least she was a good shield!)

Before the playful fiend could even attempts to light her enemies on fire again, in a quick series of exchanges the battle was over, leaving her to blink stupidly for a moment until her smile grew wider and she started to festively dance around Karen, praising them and the rest of her allies!

"We won, we won, oh yes, victory over these foul vermin is ours! Thank you, Karen the Silver and Sparkling, for your most resounding rebuttal to those ratty rascals! Thank you, Dax the Salamander Supreme, for drenching those bats like sodden rats! And thank you Kee, for duking and bashing through disorientation with glee!"

She even picks up the lil' empath for a bit and twirls them around in celebration, but it was at that point she noticed how badly they were injured, promptly the lil' demon to immediately put them down and start fretting over their wounds.

"Oh dear, oh my, those mean wee bat fiends nearly terrified you out of awareness and mind! Here, here, have a Oran dear!"

Pyra would all but shove one of her Orans into Karen's hands, with some gentle but great urging on her part for them to accept and eat it. Her instincts tell her that these Berries can revitalize someone, so that someone will be Karen, yes!

Afterwards.....well, the brimstone imp would go over to Zubat that harassed her fae lil' friend so much with a right mean glint in her eyes, her smile turning rather.....sinister too.

"You harry, attack, and harass the poor and almost defenseless little lass, yes Zubat? Then I say you well deserve some payback, you flying rat."

She would then proceed to pick up the Zubat that targeted Karen by its long thing 'threads' and *WHOMP WHOMP WHOMP WHOMP WHOMP!* smash it back and forth against the cold stone floor 4-7 times like a ball attached to a stretchy bit of string, until she was done or it was dead, whichever came first. Despite her smiles and post battle glee, Pyra was not pleased that the sparkling fae got bullied by that noxious fiend, and decided some retribution for its transgressions was in order. Of course, if anyone wants to stop her, feel free to try!

Afterwards, she'd want to inspect the fainted Spinarak and see if she couldn't squeeze any spider silk out of their spinneret, like getting syrup out of a bottle, and failing that she'd try to use one of the Zubat as improptu 'sticks' to collect the rest of its webbing for her own use, carefully burning away the anchoring threads to the walls/ceiling to make her task easier.

Finally, she'd want to continue on the way forward deeper in the cave, leading and lighting the way like seconds before!
