[Game Thread] Pokerole Mystery Dungeon: Primal Shadows
Kogeki is indeed likely to be the most athletic of the bunch and the one most suited to climbing trees.  Let's see if he can pull it off.

Quick Attack
(6)(6)(6)(3) 3 successes

The speed at which Kogeki's moving bolsters his athletics!  +1 D6 on the Athletics check.

Athletics
2 Dex + 1 Survival + 0 Athletics + 1 QA = 4
(5)(6)(3)(1) 2 successes

Kogeki nimbly scrambles up the tree incredibly quickly.  He perches on the branch above and very carefully cuts the apple's stem with his Kunai, making sure to hold onto the fruit so that it doesn't fall to the ground and become bruised.  He then very carefully climbs back down, which is much easier than climbing up.

Success!  Apple obtained!

Karen thinks about Kee's suggestion for how to split the Poké, and has a question.  "Wouldn't putting 15 in the group fund and giving 15 to all 5 of us only account for $90, though?  What are we doing with the other $10?  Putting it in the group fund, or dividing it evenly among us?  And are you going to be the one keeping track of the group fund, Kee?  Or do you think someone else should?"
Reply
(....*facepalms over herself* Correct.) "Oh well, this remainin' 'n shinin' coing of 10$P... Letsa put it into the group fund, as we've got those Big Nuggets to sell for one's own funds." This means 25$P go into the group fund, and 15$P for each of us.

Her suggestion-question about him keeping track of the Group Fund causes Kee to ponder and look at everyone with a questioning gaze. "Uh, well, I think I can do so for now, yes... How about we let the leader who d'cides on which path to take within a Mystery Dungeon do so? It's more secure if it's not the same person carryin' 'round this additional cash everytime, I'm obviously not going nor want to lead through a Dungeon everytime. (^_^; )

(Outta-chara I can do so for now, yet I'm horrible at mental calculations [as just seen] and would prefer if it's either a different one of us who will do so always OR alternatively the one who leads through a MysteryDungeon is automatically in charge of keeping track and carrying the group fund until it can be stored at a bankmon)

"I guess the leader keeping track of it makes sense, particularly if we eventually split up and go to two different locations simultaneously...I wouldn't want to carry around large amounts of cash into these dungeons if everyone loses this much money in them all the time, though, honestly..."

Marcus chips in again.

"You don't have to!  We've got a bank in town that'll store your money and keep it safe.  They keep track of how much you have stored there, too.  Of course, you're responsible for keeping track of how much you have on hand and how you're splitting it, so make sure you aren't dropping anything!"

Karen smiles as she takes her share of the money and stores it safely away. She's absolutely going to be keeping track of how much she has.

Alright, I think that takes care of that for the most part.  Where to next?

Pyra readily agrees with the black 'n white crittercoon's suggestion on their monatry management, swiftly nodding her head while also starting a mental tab on her and everyone's finances. She had no problems with that arrangement, and she liked the though of keeping track of the group's wealth herself someday, so no reason for her to reject their idea, in all honesty!

Wheeeeee Pokemon Economics is so cool, they even know what a 'bank' is and how it works. Kee's fascination about the World of the Pokemon increases, he feels like he's going to enjoy being a 'Mon himself.

As to where to head next: Due to that slope it's likely not possible for us to progress by going north. But what about that tiny path on the east, can we reach it and head into this direction without any rolls? Our Stats are so low that I rather not risk rolling on this.

If that's not possible, then it's time to head back to where they started and head eastwards.

Oh, I guess I should have specified how steep the slope is, huh?  I mean it's a gentle, steady increase in elevation in this case.  Both of the paths on this tile are easily reachable.

Huh nice, if that slope's totally passable then let's do leave it behind us to follow the current path (diagonally-north outta-chara).

Trees continue to line the elevated ground at the top of the small hill, creating even more corridors.  The path eventually splits into two.

Walking towards the group from the path on the left is a group of 3 pokemon.

The first is a Zigzagoon.  Unlike Kee, however, this one striped with brown and white.  The other two are both round, brown pokemon with three large, green spheres atop their heads.  Clearly, they are Bonsly.

The Zigzagoon is sniffing the ground while the Bonsly keep watch, and when Kee approaches, it perks up and growls at him.  The Bonsly are immediately alerted as well, and take up positions on either side of the Zigzagoon.

None of them are wearing badges, either, indicating that they're wild pokemon!

Marcus holds his bone club up, ready to swing it at a moment's notice.  "Looks like we stumbled into some wild pokemon!  They're probably not going to leave us alone until we've beaten them in a fight!  Everyone get ready, because here they come!"

Time for some initiatives! There's enough room at the fork for everyone to get in on the action this time, so don't worry about it getting too crowded!

Round 1 Initiatives
Zigzagoon: (6) + 3 = 9
Kogeki: (6) + 3 = 9
Marcus: (6) + 2 = 8
Karen: (4) + 1 = 5
Pyra: (4) + 1 = 5
Bonsly A: (4) + 1 = 5
Kee: (2) + 2 = 4
Daxter: (1) + 3 = 4
Bonsly B: (2) + 1 = 3

Once she sights the wild Pokemon and they challenge Kee and them, Pyra's smile widens into a toothy grin as she leers at them with savage glee as she starts flexing her claws menacingly. Intimidate Triggered! - 1 STR to all Opponents! Does Kogeki's anticipation Trigger too in this Encounter?

"Understood, Marcus, their threat to us is clear to me. If they wish and desire to harm my friends, they will suffer for their insolence."

With that declared, the lil' demoness squanders not a second of time trying to ignite Zigzagoon with her Ember. Though no Weak to it persay, all that bristly fur should be flammable enough to give them a real good searing Burn!

Order: Burn Zigzagoon with Ember, simple as that! If Karen wants to take Cover behind her, Pyra will stand resolutely in place for them too! That's it, so let the battle begin at any time!

Ember
Accuracy: DEX (1) + Fight (3) + Channel (0) + FPG (1) + Single Attack (2) = 7D6 Base Dice
Damage: SPE (1) + 2 + STAB = 4D6 Base Damage
Effect: *Burn 1 [1]*

Kee shakes his fuzzy Ziggy-head about this, but at the same time he smiles a smile that's so SLY and MISCHIEVOUS that it's almost scary to look at; he seems pretty determined. "And risk our own health by doin' so? Nah, we're in no tha best position t'fight 'gainst them - not yet, that is!~~ I'm totally sure we'll meet 'em again sooner or later, 'n it might turn out useful that we let 'em go this time. Ya see, Dax, I rather fight 'em for some loot than just for tha sake of fightin'...."

"They... tot'lly didn't care that we'd outnumber 'em, which hints that they either have reinforcement as in more members 'round, or are pretty cert'in of their power - or both. Nope, would 'ave been too risky to just challenge 'em." Kee thinks that was the right decision, and he even feels  a bit proud about having gotten out of this situation safely.

And so he leads the others down that corridor into the next room.
As they go, he can't help but to reflect on that badge one of those two were wearing that excited him so much...

Ohh, and that room was quiet the sight! - A tree with only 1 Apple growing on one lone branch because logic, and free cash laying around! Kee's just going to accept this all as 'Because this area is a Mystery Dungeon', he's way more interested in what Marcus tells about this found loot.

About that Apple: He highly approves about the plan of Kogeki quickattack'ing up the slope and trying to cut the branch with the Apple of just cut the Apple off the branch! If that doesn't work, he'll ask for Pyra to try grabbing/catching the Apple with the spiderweb she collected earlier and pulling it down. If that doesn't work either, he'll suggest for the team member who's physically strongest of them all to carefully toss the lightest and most delicate team member up the branch to grab the Apple.

A sold Fresh Apple means more cash to spend on more food supplies - but it also means not having to continue the way hungry shall the trip through Dry Forest take much longer than believed. For now however, Kee opts to draw that Big Nugget he has been asked to carry in his guitarbag by Pyra and hand it back to her with the words "So, since yar hands are free (as in 'not carrying Karen around, which was the reason for Windos asking me to hold onto Pyra's Big Nugget), mind to get a hold of your gold yarself again please? Otherwise I'm not havin' room to store that Apple, 'n I rather not run around in an unknown area with food in anyone of us's hands, ya see...."
(--> Or alternatively Kee holds onto Pyra's Big Nugget and she carries the Apple as a Held Item. Or Kee does so as this slot of his is still free since that guitarbag taken an Accessory Slot, not the HeldItem-one. Regardless, 1 Item must be swapped in his guitarbag as there's no room to just store an additional in it right now)

And for that cash, Kee's fascinated that the Pokemon know how to make use of cash and currency! These coinds are so pretty and shiny, he can't take his eyes of them... Saving a bit as a 'group fund' like Marcus suggests and Dax seconds is a very good idea, and the rest can be split equally between them all: That means 15$P as group fund, and 15$ for each of us. (With 20$P as group fund it'd be 16$P for each of us, which seems somewhat odd - with 15 it's all equal.)

Also Kee makes a mental note to get a small extra-pouch or -glass to store cash in it.
"You don't get it man. I know how thugs behave. Or at least I think I do anyway. Call it an instinct. The number one rule is to never show fear. You show fear, you get absolutely trucked. They might have been tough, but I think it's more likely that the assholes were bluffing. I'll follow your lead on it though. We can kick their cans later."

Quote:Marcus holds his bone club up, ready to swing it at a moment's notice.  "Looks like we stumbled into some wild pokemon!  They're probably not going to leave us alone until we've beaten them in a fight!  Everyone get ready, because here they come!"
Dax snarls at the three facing him.
"Get some you disk bellied turds!" he roars before unleashing another Bubble.

Bubble
Accuracy: 2 Dexterity + 2 Fight + 0 Channel + 2 Single Action =6D6
Damage: 2 Power + 2 Special + STAB + SE= 5D6 + 1 (for Bonsly, and without SE or +1 for Zigzagoon)
Additional Effects: 1D6 for a chance to lower the opponent's Dexterity by 1
I'm no one special. Also, here's a pupper pic:
