[Game Thread] Pokerole Mystery Dungeon: Primal Shadows
(04-22-2020, 02:26 AM)no one Wrote: "Woah. Thanks for the help Kogeki. That was smart." Dax said, looking at the defeated Boldore and Roggenrola. He turned his head to the Boldore.
"Sorry we moved in on your turf pal. We were just trying to get out of here. If it makes you feel any better, you and your crew are pretty damn tough. I would have been a goner if I didn't get that berry."
He then turned to Marcus. "Once we get down the cliff, is the place where we have to go far?"

Boldore and company just watch silently.

Marcus, however, is in a good mood for obvious reasons.

"It's a little bit of a walk, but it isn't very far at all!"

...Oh, the battle's already over? Kee stops to a halt when Boldore and their ilk back off and make room to let him and the others pass, being torn between laughing joyously and frowning in semi-confusion. He hasn't been a target of any attacks at all, lucky for him!~ On the other side, he's wondering why he seemingly(???) hasn't come off as a threat.

...Eh, he actually couldn't/shouldn't care less, much rather rejoooooice over having won this fight! ( ÒωÓ)و☆ When Boldore weakly speaks up, Kee however shakes his head, a proud smile on his face. "Nah, actually ya can keep that cliff, I'm nat interested in claimin' it as my territory... For all I care, live here, live here 'n make yourself a nice home here, just please don't jump at anyone comin' along thinkin' they're up to drive ya off." He turns away and searches the ground for something instead. "I'm happeh 'nough if ya're goin' t'let us pass - and if I can keep that." 'That' turns out to be one of the red glowing crystals that broke off from Boldore's rocky body during the fight (especially when Weak Armor triggered), Kee is well aware that they are said to be full of energy. And it's pretty! Maybe Marcus can craft something neat out of it for him to keep. ^_^ He stuffs it into his guitarbag, thanks to the previously shared Pecha Berry there's just enough room now. Ugh, but now his bag is once again full of Items!

He was just about to drag it along and follow Marcus down the tree, the cliff and then finally out of this cave, when Kogeki held him back to issue some words. Kee listens to what the deltadoggo has to say with attention and in silence, when he replies he comes off as meek. "Eh, actually I guess I'm the one owing you 'n aplogy... Likely been a bit too hard 'n harsh on ya, was anxious 'bout ya doin' anything that might get me in trouble likewise 'n therefor gettin' in the wae of my desire t'become 'n Explorer 'n things.... Yeah, I'm sorreh. And any apology of you is accepted, it's fine." Kee's slight smile is telling that he means it.

He also motions his to drain that Boldore's aura if he desires to do so. "If ya like, if ya wanna b'come strong by doin' so, if ya MUST do that as ya're saying... Then please do so. I likewise don't wanna interfere with that desire of yars... I'm not fully approvin' it either though, it's still makin' me uncomfortable, but it'd be dumb if ya were to abstain from somethin' ya really wanna do just cuz of me. Follow yar instinct then, please just make sure that ya're not overdoin' it, 'kay?" Kee's not openly stating it, but Marcus being appearantly totally fine with Kogeki's auradraining helps easing Kee's mind a lot.

And with all that done and settled, Kee's ready to follow Marcus' lead into said town. His eager and excitement makes his small Ziggy-heart race, he so can't wait!~ (He has to however, as I might not be able to post anymore today due to having other plans already. But please don't auto Kee because of that, I'll flashback to things if necessary or just shorten any responses/just state directly what he's going to do, if applicable)

Kogeki think for a few seconds about Kee words...and then he decided to go along with Kee. "I may regret that later but...I leave that Boldore alone. They need their energies to return to their home so no Aura Draining today. There might be other stronger enemies to Aura Drain later."

Action: Spare Boldore Aura today. Leave that guy with his left energy. To Civilization!

The chipped off crystals obtained and Boldore's fate decided, it's time to move on!  Marcus beckons everyone to follow him, and they slowly climb down the branches of the tall tree together until they reach the bottom of the cliff.

The end of the Dry Forest is only a short distance away, and nothing stands between the group and freedom.

The group reached the end of Dry Forest!

-------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------

Everyone walks for awhile, following Marcus's lead.  The landscape is rather barren aside from the occasional tree.  Large rocks and mountains dot the landscape more frequently in the distance.

Eventually, though, everyone senses a change in the air.  It...smells different.

It smells...like the ocean.

Marcus breathes it in, enjoying it.  "Ah, the sweet, sweet smell of home.  We're almost there.  Come on!"

Marcus leads the group through a gap between two of the larger rocks and mountains they'd been advancing towards.

And once they're through, that's when everyone sees it.  A small town nestled in a coastal valley.  Pokemon of all kinds roam the streets, though it's primarily desert dwellers that call it home.  A Sandslash and a Hippowdon appear to be chatting about something.  A Gallade, Rhyperior, and Roserade are talking with two Kecleon over a counter while examining apples, berries, and strange blue orbs.  A Lapras waits at the end of a wooden pier that stretches into the vast ocean behind the town.  A Hawlucha poses in a very colorful stand shaped like its head as strangers pass by.  A Flygon soars overhead.

And behind it all, in the distance, everyone sees a massive tree growing in the middle of the ocean, its branches completely covered with innumerable leaves.  It's clearly full of life, even at such a large distance, and its size defies all description as it stretches up towards the setting sun, almost dwarfing the size of the horizon.

Marcus looks at it all proudly.

"Welcome to Sahra Town, everyone.  One of the few habitable places on the Sand Continent."

"Let me show you guys around the place.  Don't let all the sand and dust fool ya.  It's quite lively!"

Marcus eagerly begins leading the way into the town itself, but the group is soon brought to a halt when that Flygon that had been soaring overhead spots them and swoops down to land in front of the group.  They hold a hand out in front of them in the universal gesture for 'STOP'.  They speak with a very stereotypical wild west accent.

"Now hold on there, partners.  Where do you think you're going?  Nobody goes in or out of this town without me knowing."

Marcus rolls his eyes.  "Sheriff, honestly.  It's me, Marcus.  I live here.  Just came back from some scavenging for my business."

The sheriff stares at everyone besides Marcus with narrowed eyes and crosses his arms.  "And your friends here?  How do I know they're not going to cause trouble in the town?"

"I found them lost in the Dry Forest.  They're good folk.  We had to get past some trouble makers on the way here, and I certainly wouldn't have been able to do so on my own.  A rubble of territorial Roggenrola seem to have made their home in the Dry Forest recently.  Would have been stuck there if these guys hadn't come along."

Flygon looks curiously at Marcus.  "Roggenrola?  In the Dry Forest?  Odd...well, I'll trust your word for now, Marcus.  But if I catch any of these strangers causing trouble in my town, you're going to be staring at bars too."

Marcus chuckles, not seeming to take the sheriff's threat seriously.  "Fine, fine.  We really must be on our way, Sheriff.  You have a good day."

"Hmph."

Flygon takes off, going back to patrolling the town from the skies.  As Marcus watches the Dragon take off again, he realizes the sun is hanging low in the sky, most of the residents seem to be clearing off the streets, and the shops are starting to close for the day.

"...ah, shoot.  Looks like it's getting rather late.  Well, you guys want to call it a day?  I've got an extra room at my place, so you're welcome to stay there if you like.  I can give you all the tour tomorrow morning."

Kogeki at the city impress but also amazed by such...beauty. The sands make the place almost looks like made of gold, and the giant Tree in the ocean make he even more amazed. "It would nice Marcus. Although in your home, is there any place for me to train a bit? Need to strech a bit more my limbs in this form, so some training before sleeping is good." Kogeki look at Daxter, Karen, Kee and Pyra. "You are welcome for a training session too. Or not. I a ninja for Arceus sake, I cant stop train."

Action: In Kogeki part, lets head to Marcus home! But not before some good old training session! I send a describe of how its gonna be the training depending of Marcus and everyone answers!

Upon eventually reaching that town, Kee has like a thousand questions and wants to do a hundred things all at once, he just can't seem to get enough of looking at that place - and especially that TREE down the sea, he doesn't really understand why but it accelerates his heartbeat even more.

Oh, and he instantly realizes something about this place he doesn't enjoy - it's all that sand and dust in the air, it causes him to sneeze and wanting to clean his fine black and white fur every five minutes. Now that he thinks about that, it probably needs some cleaning and grooming anyway after all that exploration, he's going to take some time later to do that by himself with the help of his bristly tongue.

Towards Marcus and his generous offer to stay with him for now, Kee doesn't have to think twice, he eagerly nods and agrees while smiling all widely! "Huh, if yar're really fine with us staying at yor place for now, I for my part very gladly accept, thankies!~" Only now he realizes how tired he actually is, he has to issue a toothy yawn.

But before that, he nudges the good craftsmon once more and draws something from his stuff. It's that fresh Apple the group has found and picked up earlier in Dry Forest. It's still fresh and fine. "Marcus, ya said that these Apples are more worth when being sold to someone - uh, maybe these Kecleon there? - while they're still fresh, but I think I'm rather going to keep it for now... It's food, and I can't eat cash, ya now." That, and he's got some stuff to trade for cash anyway. More cash = more food! And useful stuff to go on more explorations and trips!~☆

Furthermore he's going to show Marcus this red part of crystal he picked up from Boldore, his smile and careful handing of it it's obvious that he handles this crystal as a small personal treasure. "Hey Marcus, betcha ya picked up a part or shard too, being a skilled craftsmon - d'ya think ya could create something neat out of this shard of mine? Do ya have anything cool in mind that can be made outta it, are more materials needed that I can or shall look out for? Oh, and of course I'd help ya in the crafting process, if I can be any help in the first place..."

Kee gently denies. "Got enough action for tha day, but thankies for the offer..." He definitely prefers some calm activities (if any) for the rest of the day, for example watching and helping Marcus crafting. Or just lay around cleaning his fur.

Dax stared at the town. The town looked very interesting and he'd definitely want to check some of the attractions out. The heat was getting to him a little though. Perhaps he could go for a swim in the sea a little later that evening?

He decided he really would like that swim before tucking in at Marcus's home. He decided to ask the Cubone.
"Wow, that Flygon is a complete asshole. Marcus, your place isn't anywhere near the ocean by any chance? It'd give me a chance to cool off. I'm not exactly dying of thirst, but the heat is hitting me a little harder than it would hit you. I might be able to find some food that a weird Charmander like me would eat. It's cool if it's not though. I can check it out in the morning."

To Kogeki: Marcus laughs.  "We've been hiking all day, and you're still thinking about strenuous physical activity?  I admire your enthusiasm, but you should take a break every once in awhile too.  Adventuring's hard work, after all."

Once Marcus points it out, Kogeki notices he's definitely starting to feel a little sore.

To Kee: Marcus nods.  "Yup, those Kecleon are the local shopkeeps.  The green one sells general wares like Apples, Berries, and Seeds.  The purple one has more specialized stock, selling Orbs and TMs primarily."

As for the shard, Marcus (presumably) smiles again.  "Ah, so you had the same idea as me, did you?  Yeah, I can probably make those Boldore Crystals into a nice Accessory.  Not quite sure what exactly it'll end up being yet, though.  If you have an idea, I'd love to hear it!  Depending on what I make with it, I may or may not need more materials."

To Daxter: Marcus shrugs.  "Eh, you get used to the sheriff, honestly.  He's actually nicer than you might think.  Cares a lot for this town."

Then he shakes his head.  "Nah, my place isn't near the water.  Not exactly the kind of environment I want to hang out at on a daily basis for obvious reasons."

He smiles again.  "We do have our fair share of Water types that hang around the pier, though!  I'm sure they'd love to meet you in the morning!"
