[Game Thread] Pokerole Mystery Dungeon: Primal Shadows
Once Team Artificers's gone and they're all moving onwards, Ziggy Kee takes a moment to give Pyra a shy and semi-affective headbutt. His deep-red eyes are looking away as he mutters something to her, and he fights to hide an incoming blush: "Uh.... Well, t...thank ya for calmin' 'n loamin' over me like that to pr'vent me from snapping at Chimical's tauntin'..." He's being honest on that, and instantly concentrates back at the path ahead upon having said that.

Luckily that weird slanted room insta-catched his attention upon reaching it, nicely distracting him and making him STAAAAAARE and SNIFF at the ground with vivid curiosity. "AHHHHHH how odd an' 'nteresting!!1! D'ya people think this room is like that due to the 'magic' this MysteryDungeon's named after? Or due to the Psychic Types r'sidin' here??! It's so cooooool!"

No time to think about that now, as there are wild Pokemon ahead appearantly up to mess with the Adventurers that came by. All the furry raver does about that is snickering and chuckling as he gets ready for ANOTHER round of exciting battling, what a neat way to vent a bit of the eager and adrenaline accumulated from the encounter with Team Artificers. "Oh hewo there! Wantin' t'intercept and block us from movin' onwards? Sorreeeeh, but we're on some missions, not much time t'play with ya!"

If there's a lot of space in this room to move around, Kee will use that space to zigzag in swift movements as close to Drifloon and Spoink as he can, try to herd them together in some way, and then snaaaaaaaarl into their faces with everything he's got.

Due to his Typing he's completely immune to any Ghost and Psychic Type attacks these two may launch at him, making him unafraid to get that close to these. Furthermore I wonder: Can he smack the pearl from Spoink's head via his attack or snatch it while they're distracted by the other's attacks to steal it from the piggy?

Accuracy Roll Kee's Snarl: 2 Dext + 2 Fight + 0 Channel - 1 Inaccuracy + 2 SingleAction Bonus = 5d6
Target: Litwick A & B
Damage Roll: 2 Special + 2 Power + STAB = 4d6 +1 autodamage due to SE
Additional notes: Soundbased, will autolower the target's Special by 1. Will hit both Driftloon and Spoink.

Quick additional input before I forget:
If Kee can't/fails to snatch the pearl from Spoink during the battle, he'll try to do so after the battle = once Spoink's fainted and before they get away.

With Kee, Moments Prior to the Fight: The lil' fiendess is jolted out of her thoughtful moodiness (from the whole near fiasco with Team Art. + Confusion Woes) by the furry punk star's sudden gesture, and for a few seconds she stared at him with neutral eyes and distinct unamusement . His subsequent demure words of gratitude, however, quickly softens her look, and soon after she graces him with a small smile and a light, gentle caress behind his ears.

".....Thank you, my Ziggy Kee, for abiding by me and trying to act peacefully. Should have said that sooner too you, yes, but now is good for you to hear it too. "

*Now Transition to The Fight!*

Pyra, still somewhat subdued from chatising her friends earlier and from her Confusion, was not in the mood to see a wild mob coming to bear down on her and everyone else. She glared at her foes with cold malice, and a her head flame blazed as the Dark Fire within her strengthened in response to her desire to vent her frustrations and devastate these curs. Intimidate Triggered, and increasing Pyra's Brawl and Channel by 1 each for 12 XP!

Gather her vexation and fury for but a second more, the the fiery demoness leap forward towards Drifloon, intent on introducing her jagged chasm of a mouth into its inflated body, and then whirling to spit them out and some of her wicked sparks at Magnemite. Let her feeling be known[/i] to these pests.

Orders: Bite on Drifloon to try and either KO or Flinch them, before attempting to slag the Magnemite with a Ember! IF Drifloon get's KOed before she gets her first Actions though, switch Bite Target to Spoink. If Pyra falls below 1/2 HP, she'll use her only Oran to heal herself to full! Sorry about the long delay, but I finally found the time to post, so let us get this battle DONE now!

Moves

[b]Bite
Accuracy: DEX (2) + Fight (3) + Brawl (1) - 2 Actions= 4D6 Base Dice
Damage: STR (2) + 2 + STAB + SE = 5D6 + 1 Base Damage
Effect: *Flinch 3*

Ember
Accuracy: DEX + Fight + Channel (1) + F.P.G. (1) - 4 Actions = 2D6 Base Dice
Damage: SPE (2) + 2 + STAB + SE = 5D6 + 1 Base Damage
Effect: *Burn 1 [1]*

Wild Pokemon Round 1

Daxter opens the fight with a spray of indiscriminate bubbles!  All three of the approaching pokemon are drenched!

Bubble 1
(4)(6)(3)
(4)(3)(1)(3) Magnemite, Drifloon, and Spoink all take 1 damage 4/5 HP
(5), (6), (2)
Drifloon's Dexterity is decreased by 1!

As Drifloon falters, slowed down by the spray, Kogeki and Kee both attempt to strike at the balloon ghost...

Bite 1
(2)(2)(2)(2) Miss!

Snarl
(1)(1)(1)(2)(2) Miss!

...only for the unexpected loss of speed their target suffered to throw Kogeki off, and his attack goes wide.  He sails past the Drifloon as he lunges forward.

And as for why Kee's growling didn't have any effect, well...

Thunder Shock on Kee
2 Dex + 2 Fight + 0 Channel + 2 Action = 6
(6)(5)(1)(5)(6)(4) Critical hit!  The Zigzagoon's fur is now super poofy and standing straight up thanks to static electricity!  Bzzzzt!
2 Pow + 2 Spe + STAB - 1 + 2 Crit = 6
(5)(1)(1)(3)(2)(5) Kee takes 1 damage! 3/4 HP
(1)

...let's just sat that Magnemite caused Kee to yelp for a completely different reason, canceling the Snarl attack.

Drifloon, meanwhile, has positioned itself behind Kogeki and gotten the upper hand in this skirmish!  Boo!

Astonish on Kogeki
1* Dex + 0 Survival + 0 Stealth + 2 Action = 3
(5)(3)(5)
1 Pow + 2 Str + STAB - 1 + SE = 3 D6 + 1
(5)(4)(1) Kogeki takes 3 damage... 2/5 HP -2 Pain
(6)(3)(5) ...and Flinches!

Pyra won't stand for this, and vents her frustration on the balloon, intent on popping it with her fangs!

Bite 1 on Drifloon
(6)(3)(1)(3)
(5)(5)(4) Drfiloon takes 4 damage and faints!  Pop!
(-)(-)(-)

...and mere moments after Pyra makes contact with Drifloon, a loud sound echoes through the magical halls.

KABOOM!!!
Pyra takes 2 damage from Drifloon's Aftermath! 3/5 HP -1 Pain

Spoink seems completely unfazed, however, and the pig focuses its powers into a wave of psychic energy that twists and bends as much as this room's dimensions!

Psywave on Kogeki
2 Dex + 2 Fight + 0 Channel + 2 Action = 6
(6)(3)(5)(3)(2)(3)
(4) Kogeki takes 1 damage! 1/5 HP -3 Pain

Karen, startled by this turn of events, shouts.  "Kogeki!  Urgh...I feel kinda funny, but...just...hang in there a little longer!"  Her cry becomes an attack as she does her best to fend off these aggressive wild pokemon, even though she's feeling strange for some reason...

Disarming Voice on Magnemite and Spoink
2 Insight + 2 Contest + 0 Allure + 2 Action = 6
(4)(2)(1)(5)(4)(3)
2 + 2 + STAB - 2 (- NVE) = 3 D6 (- 1 on Magnemite)
(4)(3)(4)
Spoink takes 2 damage! 2/5 HP -2 Pain
Magnemite takes 1 damage! 3/5 HP -1 Pain

Kogeki Flinches 2!

Daxter and Pyra move quickly, their attacks faster than those of their opponents.  Before Spoink and Magnemite know what hit them, the Water and Fire types have closed in and struck back with a vengeance!

Scratch 2 on Spoink
2 Dex + 2 Fight + 1 Brawl + 1 Dog Collar (it gives +1 Brawl) - 4 Actions = 2 D6
(4)(3)
2 Str + 2 Pow - 2 Def = 2 D6
(4)(4) Spoink takes 2 damage and faints!

Spoink's pearl falls off of its head as it faints.  However, it seems to dull in color as soon as it hits the ground...

Meanwhile, Pyra's busy roasting the Steel type with an open flame.

Ember 2 on Magnemite
(5)(3)
(3)(2)(1) Magnemite takes 1 damage... 2/5 HP -2 Pain
(3) ...and is not burned.

(If an aggressive wild pokemon survives until the end of the Round but is near fainting, I may roll its Will to see if it will attempt to flee on its next action.)

Will: 4 - 2 Pain
(6)(4)

Despite being completely outnumbered, Magnemite doesn't seem like it's going to back down from this fight.  Looks like this battle's going to continue.

Wild Pokemon Round 2

A little bit more on recruitment: You can spend an Action to try and recruit weakened wild pokemon instead of attacking (this will still follow the initiative order)!  Each player can make one recruitment attempt per encounter.  Describe how you try to convince the wild pokemon to join you, and that'll influence which stats will be rolled for the recruitment check.

Multiple players trying to recruit the same wild pokemon may increase the odds of the wild pokemon joining at GM discretion. Whether a KOed wild pokemon will want to join will be determined after the battle is over, though it's not a common event.

After Kogeki requested some healing from Pyra, and hopefully patch his wounds he approach Magnemite with Daxter help.

"You are pretty tough Magnemite. Very much strong. We could use such strength from you in future fights. We could offer protection, and a home for you to stay until you find something else to do. I survive your friends attacks, despite receiving a Ghost Attack and a Psychic attack with chance of faint me. What you say?"

Tough to try convince Magnemite.

Due to the puffed-up phantom rather explosive pacification Pyra's mood takes a turn for the more aggressive, prompting her frustration to increment from 'peeved' to 'vindictive and her assault to grow more savage against the reminder of its allies. She's only run across a few of them, but the brimstone imp is genuinely starting to hate Ghost types and their brand of tricky (Kogeki excluded, of course).  If the spirits here keep up their foul shenanigans with her or the group she'll starting taking pains to teach them how deep her displeasure can run, her friend's opinions and feelings be damned.

That is neither here nor there, though, so she refocuses that bit of her attention back onto the Fight, giving the Magnemite an intense, wide-eyed lizard look that screamed 'I'm going to melt you' . Before she could actualize that message, however, Dax and Kogeki make their attempts at trying to convince the hunk of ferromagnetic metal to join up with Team OS, which makes her forestall her violence to instead watch the proceedings carefully. If the Magnemite is agreeable to their pitches, she'll leave well enough alone, but if they trying to attack anyone but herself she'll attempt to Clash with them with either Bite or Ember (Depending if they use a Phys. or Spec. Move) to shield them before attempt to Bite/Ember them viciously into oblivion for their ungratefulness.

Hopefully the Magnemite will know a good and generous offer when it sees it, but should it not she'll be their to impress the consequences of continued belligerence......

Orders: Attempt to Clash any Move that Magnemite uses on anyone but herself (5D6 Clash Dice Total), and then have her next Action either Bite or Ember it with extreme prejudice for its efforts (1D6 and 2D6 Respectively, for their current Accuracy Dice Totals as a 2nd Action). If Magnemite attacks them, however, she'll just tank it and then retaliate with a Bite and then Ember (3D6 and 2D6 Accuracy Dice as 1st Action and 2nd Action). That should do it, so may the living magnet give peace a chance, or else.

Oh, and give Kogeki her Oran to heal. That too!

Dax nodded while Kogeki spoke, and added "Kogeki's right. Both of your friends are out for the count, and you're still standing. We could use your power. And you can bet those screws that you'll get real strong real fast if you go with us."

Action: Use Tough for a recruitment roll.
I'm no one special. Also, here's a pupper pic:

Hahahahahahaha, that sounds accurate! And hilarious af, niiiiice
(And scary as that Crit Thundershock had the potential to OHKO Kee in cold blood)

Making his fine fur super-fluffy and -poofy is enough to catch Ziggy Kee off-guard in a rather efficient way, as in 'causing him to screech, yelp, growl and flail'. He's even having a hard time seeing anything now that the fur partly covers his eyes! \(>o<\ )

....Eh, but he can take care of all that later, a bit of cleaning and grooming himself will do the trick. First off, there's a battle to win!~ Particularly, that Magnemite that targeted him and caused that inconvenience, FUUUUU. "Ahahahahahaha, such a neat trick ya pull'd off, thinkin' ya can mess with me like that, targetin' a p'tential weakpoint of mine, huh?!~ Weeeeeell, isn't that clever, but now it's myyyy tuuuuurn !~"

*cue Kogeki and Dax attempting to recruit that very Magnemite*

Huh. Well then, Ziggy Kee will let them do as they please, but shall that Magnemite refuse, they'll get lectured by the now extra-furry crittercoon!~

Accuracy Roll Kee's Snarl: 2 Dext + 2 Fight + 0 Channel - 1 Inaccuracy + 2 SingleAction Bonus = 5d6

Additional notes: Soundbased, will autolower the target's Special by 1.

Oh, and despite the Peal having gone dull once having hit the ground, Kee will STILL go after it after the battle. The most important thing is that it's not broken.

Wild Pokemon Round 2

Daxter's mostly supporting Kogeki's arguments, so this roll will see if Kogeki gets some kind of bonus.

Recruit
3 Tough + 2 Instinct
(6)(3)(1)(1)(5) 1 success, which isn't particularly impressive, so I'll give Kogeki a +1 D6 bonus

Recruit
3 Tough + 2 Instinct + 1 Help
(5)(2)(1)(1)(3)(6) 1 success
Will: 4 - 2 Pain
(6)(2) 1 success

Magnemite doesn't seem to be particularly swayed one way or another by the attempts to recruit it, unfortunately, and its magnets continue to spark with static electricity as it charges another attack.  Pyra readies herself to attempt to Clash the attack...

Kee steps in with his own 'argument' once he's certain that this is going nowhere fast.

Snarl
(6)(3)(2)(1)(4)
(5)(3)(5) Magnemite takes 2 damage and faints!

Everyone's able to relax once the last of the wild pokemon is defeated.  Karen still feels a little funny, though.  "...is it just me, or are you guys having trouble thinking straight too?"  Her eyes cross a little as she tries to make sense of the odd dimensions of the room.

Everyone gets 3 exp for defeating the wild pokemon.  Room clear!

The pearl that Spoink dropped is rather large, heavy, and difficult to carry, and the color's definitely much duller than when it was on Spoink's head.
