[Game Thread] Pokerole Mystery Dungeon: Primal Shadows
Kogeki nod his head in agreement to Kee decision to lead. "I okay in you taking the lead Kee. "I will try to make sure any enemy who appear be quick dispatch."

"I follow you guys in the shadows. Make sure whatever enemy appear will have a reason to fear."

And before Kee or Platina say something Kogeki try to hide in the darkness. Close to the team, but trying his best to not be see by any possible enemies hiding already in the dark. He also need some time alone

Action: Stay close to the team but use the darkness to hide and surprised possible enemies. Since we don't have healing Pokemon in our side, deception, stealth and surprised attacks is Kogeki best skills to help everyone. Besides, Kogeki is a ninja. Stealth is his main job.

Daxter could feel it in the air as they got closer to Lively Town. The air was more moist and the sun was less brutal. It looked like the Water Continent was far more temperate than the extremely dry Sand Continent. After disembarking Lapras, he cheerfully waved at her, thanking her for the lift before he turns to Ampharos and Mawile. "This is much more my style than Sahra Town. Called it Lively Town, right? Very lively indeed. Kinda similar in some ways though. You lot have also got a Café Connection here. And a Glorious Gold. And yet another pair of Kecleon brothers. They all branches of the same franchise or something?"

He turns to Rowlet and Snom. "Well, this place feels much nicer doesn't it? Some actual greenery and very little sand. You two can look around if you want. I'm gonna check out what those Kecleon have got before meeting up with Ampharos."

Daxter then makes his way to the Kecleon brothers of Lively Town, greeting them as he approaches. "Hey, friends. Just visiting from Sahra Town, and I was hoping to see what you've got for sale today."
I'm no one special. Also, here's a pupper pic:

The sounds of crashing water falls and the splish splash of the water underfoot accompany Team Omega Seekers and the eeveelutions as they make their way through the stone corridor.  No branching paths present themselves, so when the party of five eventually is confronted by a large waterfall that's blocking the entire corridor, the water falling hard and fast, they have to stop for a second.

"Well, that's just fantastic.  Anyone have any idea how we're getting past this obstacle?"

"It looks like we can walk straight through the water if we must, though with it coming down like that, I'm fairly certain doing so would hurt a bit.  I can maybe reduce the damage we take a little, though."

"Okay, so that's Plan C.  What about A and B?  Any suggestions, Omega Seekers?"

"Yes indeed!  Not every town has the exact same facilities under the same names, but you can find the Kecleon family basically everywhere, and even if you can't find the exact same facility somewhere, there's usually a similar one.  As an example, that Duskull on the southern end of town actually moved in recently, after Meowth Theatre closed.  If I recall rightly, they were bought out by the Grass Continent's banking system, and Meowth's been cross with the Ghost types ever since.  Can't deny that we've been needing a good bank here, though, so it's a welcome addition in my book as far as preparing for Expeditions goes, even as sad as the loss of one our town's key landmarks was.  Real shame, that."

"Right then!  I'll give Snom and Rowlet the tour while you go about your business, Daxter!  We'll meet you by Café Connection later.  Alright, come along!"

Snom still doesn't seem to be entirely comfortable with the higher temperatures here, but she's not complaining nearly as much about them as she follows Ampharos, gazing at each facility and house curiously.  Rowlet is still perfectly stoic and mostly unreadable, following Ampharos without complaint.

Meanwhile, Daxter's trip to Lively Town's Kecleon Shop begins much like any other.

"Hello, and welcome to the Kecleon Shop!

"The finest wares on the Water Continent!"

"Oh, you came from Sahra Town?  How interesting!  That's quite a ways away from here, no?"

"Surely, you must be looking for a souvenir to commemorate your visit, yes?  A TM lasts much longer than any other item after all!"

Humm... Ziggy Kee gets as close to the large waterfalls as he can and carefully dunks a paw into the water that's crashing down in front of him. Only for a second though, then he retrieves it and shakes it to get rid of the feeling of a wet paw. He seems to test the strength of the crashing water.

Towards Umbreon's question about suggestions, Kee simply smiles as he disappears and reappears from his guitar bag, holding a Quick Orb in between his jaws that he playes in front of him. "Oh that's easeh dear Umbreon - what I'd do is use this Quick Orb for some extra speed for all of us an' then just RUN THROUGH tha waterfall with everythin' we got. Or better, feint attackin' it, like me headbutting mah way through the crashin' water to 'ven more reduce the time it hits me. The less it his me an' the faster I run through, the less damage I'll take!~!" ☆~(^v^ ) His gaze and smile moves from Umbreon to Espeon , asking her "If ya can reduce tha damage even further, even better!~ Ya happen to know how t'use Light Screeen or Reflect t'do so, or how d'you do that?"

(So basically, use the Quick Orb for +1 Dext for all of us for the remaining floor and then rush through the waterfall as quick as possible, with Kee 'using' Headbutt to be even faster as he runs through the waterfall. Compare the player and their partner running through the waterfall in ExplorersOfTime/Darkness/Sky to discover Waterfall Cave.)

"You've got it!  I was planning to use Reflect to help protect us from the damage.  It's not as good as something like Wide Guard or Protect, but it should at least get us past this obstacle if all else fails.  Anything you can do to reduce the remaining damage would be very helpful."

"Moving through that as quickly as we can sounds like a good idea, given how much water is falling here.  I don't think Headbutt would help you much with getting throgh faster, but maybe you could use the force of the move to more directly deflect the damage.  Might help those of us with less powerful moves to get through too."

So Kee plans to use a Quick Orb and a Headbutt Clash.  Are Platina and Kogeki doing anything special to try and reduce the damage they'll take?

"I believe I might help in destroy possible obstacles just in case there might rocks to block our path. I know Rock Smash, so perhaps we could use such thing to destroy stones."

"But before we do such thing, let me try something first."

Kogeki then close his eyes for a instant and try to use Foresight.

Action: Kogeki to try use Foresight to see if there any kind of danger in Waterfall. To feel if there any danger of Aura of enemies, or if there is a safe path behind the Waterfall to the group to cross @Dragonstrike.

Edit: Also, if possible, use Quick Attack+Rock Smash to break obstacles and reach Waterfall. Thanks for the heads up Windos!

Platina's response upon seeing a Waterfall block her group's path a most annoyed look at it, followed by a frustrated *sigh*. Dear gods, her first trip through a Mystery Dungeon was not going to be a pleasant or easy one, it appears.

Lord Umbreon and Lady Espeon's inquiries was meet with a small shake of her head. "No, I do not. I tend to avoid Waterfalls entirely by flying up or around them, but that is no something anyone else can do here." Still, if she could see a gap above her where she could 'squeeze' through past the Waterfall by flight, she's almost certainly attempt it to get around it that way (after telling the group, of course).

Regardless, once the default plan became 'brunt force past the obstacle' , the shiny avian grimaced before preparing herself to do two things: Harden herself once Reflect goes up, and then using Steel Wing(s) to try and 'corkscrew' her way through the Waterfall. It's a technique she'd seen her father do on occasion to try deflect stuff or fly through resistance, though she was hardly as skilled or physical capable of pulling it off with the same grace and effectiveness as him. Still, a better idea than nothing!

(Also, FYI for Kogeki - Quick Attack would be useful for speeding through the Waterfall, maybe!)

Platina's Alert:
(6)(5)(3)(3) 2 successes

Platina glances at the water crashing down from the ceiling, but doesn't see an easy way to fly around it since it appears to be filling the entire width of the corridor and is very tall.  So through the waterfall it is!

Kogeki's Foresight:
(5)(2)(1)(3) 1 success

Between Kogeki's almost supernatural Anticipation and his much more practical Foresight, Kogeki doesn't see or sense anything that might pose a particular danger to himself or the rest of the group.  Just a really big, crashing waterfall that looks like it would hurt to try and walk through at a normal pace.

No rolls needed to set up Harden for Platina and Reflect from Espeon, so it's time to execute the plan!  Kee smashes the Quick Orb, and everyone starts to glow with a subtle light as they temporarily begin to feel lighter on their feet.

The Waterfall would do 5 - Defense Water type damage to anyone attempting to walk through it at a normal pace (enough to KO or severely hurt an average NFE pokemon).  The various precautions taken can each reduce the damage that would have been taken by 1.

- Platina's Harden and Espeon's Reflect both reduce damage taken by 1 guaranteed, the water buffeting against the psychic shield and Platina's tough as steel body, causing the water to impact with far less force than it normally would.  The Quick Orb also reduces the damage everyone takes by 1, as they're spending less time in the waterfall than they otherwise would.

- Kogeki's Quick Attack:
(6)(6)(4)(2)(2)(2)(1) 2 successes
As Quick Attack doubles Kogeki's speed, Kogeki halves the amount of damage he would have taken from the hazard (rounded up) before any other bonuses are applied.

- Kee's Headbutt Clash:
(4)(1)(2)(3)(6)(5) 3 successes
Kee's brute force approach isn't helped as much by the Quick Orb, but with the Solar Battery charging his attack just that extra little bit, he's able to displace enough water with the attack that he's able to reduce the damage he would have already taken by an additional 1.

- Platina's Steel Wing Clash:
(4)(2)(3)(6) 2 successes
Even as unpracticed in clashing as she is, Platina's feathers are hard enough right now that it doesn't take much effort for her to batter aside the water as she tries to corkscrew through the hazard.  It's not the most graceful of attempts, but it gets the job done, reducing the damage Platina would have taken by 1.

- Espeon is focusing on maintaining the Reflect, as holding back such a large volume of water seems to be demanding much of their focus.

- Umbreon decides to be a bit of a show off and simply walks through the waterfall.

Damage Taken:
Kogeki: 5/2 -> 3 - 1 Reflect - 1 Quick Orb - 2 Defense = 1 damage minimum
Kee: 5 - 2 - 1 Defense - 1 Clash = 1 damage minimum
Platina: 5 - 2 - 3 Defense - 1 Clash = 1 damage minimum
Espeon: 5 - 2 - 2 Defense = 1 damage minimum
Umbreon: 5 - 2 - 4 Defense = 1 damage minimum

Everyone gets to the other side of the waterfall, no worse for wear aside from being a little wet!  Umbreon shakes the water out of his fur and gives Kee an approving nod.  "Quick Orb was a good idea.  Not something I think most pokemon would think to do.  Not bad."

"Let's move on, shall we?  If we keep up this pace, we should be able to reach the end of this Magnagate Dungeon before long."

Team OS and the eeveelutions press on through the long, waterfall lined corridor, drying off slightly and eventually coming across another portion of the path with water pouring down the sides in greater volumes than usual.  This time, however, the water doesn't seem to be coming down as forcefully, and shiny pebbles appear to decorate the pathway where the larger waterfalls meet the ground.

"Well, this is rather picturesque, isn't it?  The water falling, the light reflecting off of the pebbles there..."

"Yeah, yeah, eye for beauty and all, Espeon.  You do remember that we can't get too attached to anything here though, right?  As pretty as it is, there's no guarantee it'll be here later if we visit again since this is still a variety of Mystery Dungeon."

"*sigh*...I know, Umbreon, I know.  It's always nice to see variation in a dungeon like this, though.  It's not something you see often."

Umbreon crouches down low.  "I, for one, think that variation in the flooring is suspicious for that exact reason.  Could be a trap or something."

How does Team OS wish to proceed?  There doesn't appear to be any immediate danger at first glance, and the water cascading down from above onto the shiny pebbles below doesn't seem to be posing much of a hazard by itself this time.

(Ahahaha, gotten through the waterfall like nothing!~ That 1 point of damage should be healed by moving on to the next tile - or to paraphrase it, once we reach the next tile, we should be back at full health - right?)

...That approval from Umbreon, as small and nuanced it may it may be, is enough to get Ziggy Kee's ego and feelings of being flattered skyrocketing straight up into the stratosphere!!1 (ꈍ ꒳ ꈍ ) - though before it gets to his head he shakes himself too clear said head, then gives Umbreon a smile that's overflowing with thankfulness. Damn, he needs a few deep breathes to cool down right now!

...And he gets then as they all move onwards, not before the crittercoon has taken good care to shake as much water from his fine fur and quick-lick over the still-wet parts. Eww, can't stand not looking all well and pretty 24/7, least of all in such a prestigious company as the two Eeveelutions!

...Shiny stuff, sHiNy sTUfF!1!! If it wasn't for Umbreon displaying caution and suspecting a trap, Kee would have rushed towards the shiny pebbles without a second thought to collect as many of them as he can carry; his inner Zigzagoon unable to resist due to how beautiful and collect-worthy they are. Another deep breath taken by the crittercoon to cool down andgather himself (and hs thoughts), then he turns to Kogeki/@Spiritmon with an expectant look: "*gentle nudge* Hey K'geki, ya know Foresight an' natur'lly have quite tha good sense for danger 'head, haven't ya?~ Tell me, d'you sense or feel somethin' out of place by these two waterfalls here...? Ya know, I NEED and WANT to have some of these beautiful! and shiny! pebbles just because, but I can't let my instinct get tha better of me and p'tentially get in trouble by succumbing, ahaha!~~"

(In case Kogeki can feel nothing aka this place does not appear suspicious, then Kee will step forward and (at first massively careful) nudge one of these shiny pebbles to see whether it triggers any effect, mechanism or basically anything. Once it appears clear that gathering some of the most shiny pebbles without putting himself at risk, he, will collect a few units of them.

If Kogeki does feel something suspicious about this place/the pebbles/the waterfall, then Kee will take one Gravelerock annd throw it to the shiny pebbles in the hope to lure out or trigger whatever may lurk around waiting for the trap to click.)
