(1-heartbeat-XP is still true, is it? I haven't added it yet [just edited the Will Score], wanted to confirm before doing that. Obviously we don't have enough Willpoint to reveal Fortune Rolls of today. Gauntlet Stress-level should be reduced from 15 to 7, since - quoting you: Night Time spent resting clears 1/2 Stress, rounded down - quote end, unless the brewing process from yesterday has raised it further. The 15 are coming from the morning show with Nirix at the TM Shop still.)
...All the rest, Zephy's close company (and cuddles!) and a good amount of sleep have done WONDERS to restore Bernhard's vigor and vitality (not the Stat). He certainly does feel A LOT better compared to yesterday night, but still exhausted af and worn out to the core, he painfully noticed upon getting up. But he's well enough to move without his mythic partner's puppeteering and without his body protesting completely, and that's a win in Bernhard's book. Same is neither Myra nor Nirix having alerted him that something was up with Saph, for better or for worse... we'll check on her soon enough, least the fateful moment to dose her with his brewed up creation is marching closer. His thoughts are dwelling on her, on that Saphire Pendant/that presence that came to rescue him during the brewing process, and on Mr. Gleam himself... He hopes the latter has managed to rest up just as properly, after all the stress and despair having gotten the better of him eventually.
Zephy not being around fills Bernhard with anxiety at first, but it quickly dispels as quickly as it came. After all Bernhard ended up sleeping a tad bit longer than he usually does - he just needed that extra-portion of sleep indeed - and he doesn't have to rely on her anymore to do basic things like walking.
The very first thing Bernhard will try - while still in bed - is making a small nearby object or the blanket float via a minor spell, to test how his Gauntlet react and whether he's still magic-locked. He expects to indeed still be locked, but he wanted to be certain aka have the confirmation before even starting the no-doubt- eventful day. And yes he does keep the Gauntlet on during sleep, because he can't (and frankly doesn't want to) take it off without creating a gore-y mess and completely breaking it, since the cables are connected to the veins of his hand for what feels like ages. Bernhard would simply feel...incomplete with their trusted Gauntlet.
Regardless the outcome of the check for being magically-locked, he'll get properly dressed, uses the bathroom, and makes sure to leave the bed and guest room in an orderly manner. The hospitality of the Gleam is much appreciated after all! It was probably around that time they'd also check their phone (least to pick up the current time) and notice the suprisingly long message from Oz - on that note, he still hasn't checked yesterday's chronology between Zephy and Seddi, haven't found the time to do so yet, damnit! Either way, time to bring out the reading glasses and expensive looking stylus and find a comfy spot to type out a quick response. Ugh, what is it this time, who and why is someone bothering him that early in the morning...
However WHAT Oz is writing him there... It suprises Bernhard, catches him somewhat off-guard, but in sort of a neutral-leaning-into-positive way. Like, he didn't expect that type of message at all, least of all receiving words of thanks and an offer to meet up! "All the better though...", he mutters to himself, "...We DO have yet to test out synergy if fighting off that nasty Wandering Hurricane is still true..." That test, that trial Ianai was supposed to prepare was also meant to happen tonight, was it not...? Bernhard takes a mental note of that. Looks and sounds like a BUSY day ahead indeed.
But enough of that, enough mulling over things, a quick response is sent to Oz, Bernhard does type just as he speaks: Polite, stern and stand-offish.

She stand up from her bed, clean her teeth, and then make sure Fortuna was very well brushed.
While brushing her feathers, Oz try to think what to do today. She see most of the places is not open, and there isn't a lot of places to go now.
She then check her phone, and while browsing the names of people, she see one who make her feel uneasy. Bernard. She feel kind of scare around Bern, and his…Status as a Scimitar make her feel scary of him. But…he also risk himself by changing the attention of Morgana, and clearly try to save everyone. He is not a bad person…
“Should I…Call him? Hmm…One way or another we will see each other. Specially since we gonna fight the Malefic Monstrum. But can I trust him?”
Oz debate for a while until she decided to trust in her instincts. As much she probably taking a risk, she must trust in her. So she decided to send him a message.
Good day Mr Bernard. How you doing? It’s me, Oz! I know we didn't had time to…talk since we first met. These two days I was…busy without time to properly talk to everyone.
Also…I didn't had time to thank you. You saving everyone from Morgana by taking her attention to you was a act of bravery. I confess I was…scary she would do something horrible to us all. I don't know what would kill me first: Her or a heart attack. You have my gratitude Mr Bernard.
At this of the message Oz had no idea what to say more. She looks at her sisters, who at this time was in her bed, looking at the screen of Oz cellphone. Fortuna was probably not liking Oz having a interaction with someone they shouldn't interact. Hecate probably have mix feelings about it. And Persephone…well, she probably just enjoying this complicated situation I guess.
“I know Fortuna you don't like it. But one way or another we will have to interact with Bernard. And considering we have to fight a Malefic Monstrum, we need to know our allies better. And…well…”
Oz looks at Hecate, and a idea came to her mind.
Say, Mr Bernard. Do you by chance have something to do today? With most shops closed today and other services unavailable, I pretty much have nothing much to do. And…well…I heard Scimitars really like exotic or unique Pokemon. One of my Pokemon, Hecate, is a Hatterene. And well, she is pretty strong, but she still learning about spells and others things. Specially since you looks like someone with a vast knowledge of spellcasting. And maybe if we find some place we could…Maybe find some place to drink a tea or other type of food? I know most places are currently closed, but we could try to find some place. I…could even try to make some tea or coffee if you are more of a coffee person. What you say?
Aaaaaand message send. Now Oz need to wait for Bernard/@PhantomUnderYourDesk answer.
Quote:Greetings and good morning to you, Oz.
That's 'Mr. Samsara' to you, or preferably just 'Bernhard', thank you.
Thank you for your...humble gratitude towards on concering what happened when we all had the pleasure to meet the first time. I have...already expressed my apologies for what happened, for dear Morgana crashing our meeting, since it has been solely my fault. But it pleases me to hear that you have seen my actions as an act of bravery.
If I am allowed to reassure you: She won't try to murder you unless you give her a good reason to, I speak from experience. Though if you are scared of her (and please be), do let me know if she crosses your path, for in that case I shall provide damage-control. If it wasn't clear already, she and me are......in good terms with one another (please do not ask further), so I do expect her to be at least cooperative if I intercept.
I am occupied for now, but am expecting to be free around noon or afternoon, if you do wish to share a meal or talk in private. Feel all free to find a proper place to do so that is still open despite the ongoing Lockdown, and I shall follow your invitation. [meta-talk, that's basically a suggestion to in the meantime find a proper restaurant or cafe or similar if just wanting to talk, or a secluded park/vast open field if wanting to train Spells together with Hecate]
That is also a decent opportunity, since I wished to ask you for any spare feathers of your majestic Honchcrow, if possible and available to you. I feel like I could...potentially make good use of these in alchemistic creations, Honchcrow are usually quite hard to come by in the wilds. Your exemplar looks like a special, unique one too, even better.
...Done and sent, back to business and into action. First thing is finding Zephy, is she already headed to the kitchen? Porbably, so Bernhard follows; halfway slipping into his fine Scimitar-Robe on the way. But we've finalized the Panacea yesterday already, haven't we...? Unless that accidental Imbudement that has been started...?!! "Zephy, you there...? Good morning to you... What are you doing this early...? If it's breakfast, you know I am good with just black tea and plain toast..." Is Mr. Gleam around as well or nowhere to be seen?
Oz see her phone have a return from Bernard and then she answer him back:
Sorry! Didn't mean to disrect you Mr. Samsara! I didn't had time to catch you surname, then sorry if I sound bad!
No need to apologize. Well, I mean...I would be lying if I said I was nervous when we first meet...But I can see you are a good person. Even more since you did save us.
I would not even dream in do that! Even if I was distant from such long time, I very aware of Morgana reputation. I would not even think to stay in her way. And don't need to be worry, I will tell you of anything in case something happen. And don't worry, I will not inquire in any situation between you and Morgana.
I will search for a place for us to have our talk. I need to strech my legs after such perilous day. Had to make a operation yesterday in some poor Liligant. It is a long story, so I will left that story when we meet!
Fortuna is problably in Oz shoulder looking at the last part of Bernard message (I will leave at @Lord Windos things to how Fortuna and the other sisters react) and whatever Fortuna reaction is, Oz will put the last part of her message.
Hmm...I will see if that can provide. Fortuna is quite proud, despite be a more calm species of Honckrow. Its up to her decision, but I will see if that can be arrange.
Anyway, I going now. I hope to see you later Mr Samsara!
Oz strech her arms, and decided to get ready for the day. She doesnt have big plans, so I think her first encounter choice is a search around town for a good place for meal. Maybe some place with tea or other types of food for her and Bernard meeting.

Aaaaand she will receive a message back:
Quote:Do not be sorry and worry not, for you did not disrepect me. You are displaying good manners and come of polite, which is appreciated. I fact I do rarely share my surname.
If you had to make an operation on a Pokemon yesterday and succeeded, then I am certain your skills will tun out useful once all of us embark on the journey ahead. Potential lifesavers maybe.
Until then, do take care.

Dance Your Two Left Feet!
(6)(3)(3)(2)
Your attempt at self expression went....about as well as you expected. You twisted when you should've turned, contorted when you should've moved, and several times you nearly faceplanted into the dirt. Never the less you managed to pull off some sort of dance, symbolizing your ardent drive and passion for all things insectile. Though you didn't quite manage the same level of zen-like rhythm as the long bird you still go in the 'groove' of things, letting out a few 'Hmms' and Bzzz' the few brief moments of 'sync'
The Twirling Bird simply watched, at first, showing no overt signs of approval or disapproval. Eventually, something about your struggling, persistent dance provoked a response - it moving close and, smooth as spider silk, began to join in. When you swayed, they guided your way. When you tripped, then turned it into a skip. When you were about to fall, they help you rise above it all.
Round and round, turn and turn. The Bug Human and Long Bird spun. Whence and swoon, stranger and soothing tune. Buzz and whisa, sense a'synca.....

Where to go, what's to come? A storm brews, but heroes maketh rue. Faith turned wrong, righteous maketh strong. Uncertainty here, uncertainty there, uncertainty everywhere.
Yet do not give up. Do not despair.
So long as you can move, so long as you can improve -
As much as you can dream, as much as you can believe -
Everything will be right.
By rook and crook.
Stars shine bright.
Heroes arrive.
Kingdom come by kingdom done.
~~~~
- And, like that, it was over. You collapsed on your bum such a fervous and trippy dance, tired but strangely....energized. You could feel a strange sense of fulfilment too, as if you improve some small part of yourself, no matter how inconsequential it may be.
After all, growth is growth. One step forward, to a brighter future.
You gained 1 Will Point. Your Perform Specialty Increases by 1.
The Twirly Bird gazes down upon you, then gives a simple nod.
Well Done.
Grow Fast, Seldom Lax.
Just Like a Bug.
Much more, further still.
On and on you go.
But hold fast.
Never give up.
You shall one day Fly to the Stars.
It then gives you space, dancing backwards until coming to a stop, leaving a long stretch of garden between you. It gave you a bow and crossed their wings together, waiting.
Sylvia takes a long, good look around. The buildings to her right are both Grecian in style, with ornate pillars - seven on one, nine on the other - topped by gargoyles of various 'mons. Of the buildings on the left, one is Grecian - eleven pillars, spaced generously, that's a big building - but the other is a steel and glass-fronted building with an angular, geometric style. There are two pieces of vegetation - a small, twisted, clearly maintained tree between the Grecian buildings on the right, and a little weed that's managed to pop up by the non-Grecian building. Sylvia ignores the people for the moment.
"Murkrow... From where I sit, I can see a native life amongst angular weeds, striving to find a foothold in a world dominated by newcomers. See if you can spot it."
Your evermore friend eyes narrowed as you posed your quizzical request, tilting their head at you in thought before they suddenly shot up into the air with a great flap of their wings! They circled above, high in the air, being very economical and thorough in their movements as they sweeped the area around you.
Then, with a victorious 'Caw!' they dove down - and landed right in front of the small, nearly overlooked weed. From they you can see them give you a triumphant, self-satisfied look, also ignoring the few people that were watching the your two's spectacle. A Trainer type you spotted/sense had a 'Oooh!' quality to them, as if they spotted something exciting and worthwhile, but when they made to approach a hitherunknown guard came out of the wood work to stop them. Judging by the dejected feeling and them slinking off, you have a feeling they were told not to bother you.
Perhaps the Seat knows your Status now, and is keeping some tabs on you while you're in the Area to prevent any mischief from happening to an important person such as you. Or maybe their is a strict 'No Bothering the Pokemon' Rule in this Area - something to look into later, you suppose.
Note - You CAN switch to a new Pokemon at the End of the Round, and in this case I recommend it since Kayla is mostly a Phys Attacker that is severely nerfed by Burn. Also, no Healing Items - she can be treated after Battle, and won't Burn while in her Ball during the Battle. MONK will keep old Initiative, while new Mon gets theirs.
Fortuna clicks her beak in severe distaste at seeing Morgana come into the conversation, barely holding herself back from hissing in sheer hatred. If that monster dared to stand in her sister's way, she would pull out every nasty trick she had to destroy them, or be destroyed in turn. Suffice to say, your feathered sis' Grudge against the Fae of Whimsy and Flowers is as strong as ever...
Since most of the city is in LD, finding a Resteraunt would be extremely tough without first knowing of a location and/or people involved in many that business. If you insist, however, I can attempt an Exploration Roll to find you something to eat and share later. If you have a Sector of the city in mind do let me know, or otherwise that too will be rolled at Random. Alternatively, you can always set up a picnic to enjoy with your sisters, and use that time to hang out and work on thier Moves/Specialties and brush up on what you can do with them.
@ PhantomUnderYourDesk
I'm about ready to crash for a bit, but in the interests of not leaving you hanging for any longer, have an abridged version of Events (that I will touch up on later, promise):
- Heartbeat XP is still a thing, and you are right about the Gauntlet.
- Your Magic is still on the mend/in Lockdown, but you do manage to get one of the lighter things to jiggle around a bit with your powers. Progress!
- Mr. Gleam is still his room, STILL Sleeping. Stress and poor health combined must have thrown him for a real loop if he's been snoozing for more than half a day at this point...
- Saph is still the same as ever, but you notice that her Pendant is back around her neck, the gem still faintly glowing. Touching it causes it to brighten and a ' reaching' feeling to...well, reach out to you. Myra is currently napping beside their bed, while Nirix stand watch, groggy but still Alert (and happy to see you're well enough now, if the nuzzle and boop from his snout is any indication). Nothing happened last night, so far as you can glean from your Bond with him.
- You hear a rather aggravated *Siiiiiigh* coming from the kitchen - you are not quite entering into it yet. " Yeah, yeah.... Wanted to make breakfast in bed for you, but.... *Siiiigh* just hurry up, Bernard 'fore everything gets too cold." Yikes....Zephy is rather grumpy this morning. Better get to the bottom of this fast!
Where to go, what's to come? A storm brews, but heroes maketh rue. Faith turned wrong, righteous maketh strong. Uncertainty here, uncertainty there, uncertainty everywhere.
Yet do not give up. Do not despair.
So long as you can move, so long as you can improve -
As much as you can dream, as much as you can believe -
Everything will be right.
By rook and crook.
Stars shine bright.
Heroes arrive.
Kingdom come by kingdom done.
- And, like that, it was over. You collapsed on your bum such a fervous and trippy dance, tired but strangely....energized. You could feel a strange sense of fulfilment too, as if you improve some small part of yourself, no matter how inconsequential it may be.
After all, growth is growth. One step forward, to a brighter future.
You gained 1 Will Point. Your Perform Specialty Increases by 1.
The Twirly Bird gazes down upon you, then gives a simple nod.
Well Done.
Grow Fast, Seldom Lax.
Just Like a Bug.
Much more, further still.
On and on you go.
But hold fast.
Never give up.
You shall one day Fly to the Stars.
It then gives you space, dancing backwards until coming to a stop, leaving a long stretch of garden between you. It gave you a bow and crossed their wings together, waiting.
Seems like the time has come for the spar you were promised.
(Max or current Will?)
"Crustle let's do this, no fainting the opponent. Let's scout the typing, Feint Attack followed by Rock Blast." (Notes for spar: one on one, if a move would K.O. the mystery 'mon, it is held back, and unless the 'mon itself chooses to join Darren, he won't catch it.)
Feint Attack
Accuracy: Dex (3) +Fight (4)+Brawl(4)-Actions (2)= 9D6
Damage: Strength (3)+ 2= 5d6 (6d6/7d6 if SE or QEe, respectively, 4D6/3D6 for NVE rolls (2/4x resist, respectively))
Notes: Never Fail
Rock Blast
Accuracy: Dex (3) + Fight (4)+ Channel (4)- Penalties (5)= 6D6
Damage: Strength (3)+1= 4D6 base damage
Your evermore friend eyes narrowed as you posed your quizzical request, tilting their head at you in thought before they suddenly shot up into the air with a great flap of their wings! They circled above, high in the air, being very economical and thorough in their movements as they sweeped the area around you.
Then, with a victorious 'Caw!' they dove down - and landed right in front of the small, nearly overlooked weed. From they you can see them give you a triumphant, self-satisfied look, also ignoring the few people that were watching the your two's spectacle. A Trainer type you spotted/sense had a 'Oooh!' quality to them, as if they spotted something exciting and worthwhile, but when they made to approach a hitherunknown guard came out of the wood work to stop them. Judging by the dejected feeling and them slinking off, you have a feeling they were told not to bother you.
Perhaps the Seat knows your Status now, and is keeping some tabs on you while you're in the Area to prevent any mischief from happening to an important person such as you. Or maybe their is a strict 'No Bothering the Pokemon' Rule in this Area - something to look into later, you suppose.
(Good job! Let me think of another...)
SYlvia goes back to scanning the surroundings. The buildings' gargoyles catch her attention: To the left and down the street a bit, a trio of Gargryph statues guard over the entrance to the least ornate building. Does the center one seem... off-center just a little? No... couldn't be...
On the right, a row of ornate serpentine gargoyles decorate the seven-pillared building - the Snivy line repeated on either side of a serpent that Sylvia can't quite name - it appears to have flames like whiskers, and its belly sports a chevron pattern. Somehow, it reminds her of Emboar...
The nine-pillared building on the right is strangely empty of gargoyles, except for a statue of a bird-mouse that gives Sylvia pause. Is that... Zephy? Seems weird for that to be on such a stuffy, uptight governmental building, though. And it seems freshly installed...
"Murkrow... I see a stone fish out of water. It has wiggled its way amongst its prey, and now stands perfectly still."
Just a lil' Eevee, learning to draw...
Sorry! Didn't mean to disrect you Mr. Samsara! I didn't had time to catch you surname, then sorry if I sound bad!
No need to apologize. Well, I mean...I would be lying if I said I was nervous when we first meet...But I can see you are a good person. Even more since you did save us.
I would not even dream in do that! Even if I was distant from such long time, I very aware of Morgana reputation. I would not even think to stay in her way. And don't need to be worry, I will tell you of anything in case something happen. And don't worry, I will not inquire in any situation between you and Morgana.
I will search for a place for us to have our talk. I need to strech my legs after such perilous day. Had to make a operation yesterday in some poor Liligant. It is a long story, so I will left that story when we meet!
Fortuna is problably in Oz shoulder looking at the last part of Bernard message (I will leave at @Lord Windos things to how Fortuna and the other sisters react) and whatever Fortuna reaction is, Oz will put the last part of her message.
Hmm...I will see if that can provide. Fortuna is quite proud, despite be a more calm species of Honckrow. Its up to her decision, but I will see if that can be arrange.
Anyway, I going now. I hope to see you later Mr Samsara!
Oz strech her arms, and decided to get ready for the day. She doesnt have big plans, so I think her first encounter choice is a search around town for a good place for meal. Maybe some place with tea or other types of food for her and Bernard meeting.
Fortuna clicks her beak in severe distaste at seeing Morgana come into the conversation, barely holding herself back from hissing in sheer hatred. If that monster dared to stand in her sister's way, she would pull out every nasty trick she had to destroy them, or be destroyed in turn. Suffice to say, your feathered sis' Grudge against the Fae of Whimsy and Flowers is as strong as ever...
Since most of the city is in LD, finding a Resteraunt would be extremely tough without first knowing of a location and/or people involved in many that business. If you insist, however, I can attempt an Exploration Roll to find you something to eat and share later. If you have a Sector of the city in mind do let me know, or otherwise that too will be rolled at Random. Alternatively, you can always set up a picnic to enjoy with your sisters, and use that time to hang out and work on thier Moves/Specialties and brush up on what you can do with them.
Oz brush Fortuna feathers trying to calm her down. "Let's...calm down Fortuna. Gonna find something for you to eat. If you want I can let you outside of the Pokeball for a while to calm yourself, okay? Also, don't be rude with Mr Bernard. He saved us, understood?" She keeps brushing Fortuna feathers until she get a better mood.
As for the choice of place to start searching, Oz have 2 in mind: The Broadwalk Strip and Outlying Residential Areas/Towns. If her memory still good, those two might have restaurants she could search around for her meeting with Bern. Of course, in case she doesn't find any good place, she will make picnic in some park to hang out with her sisters.
