3. Epic Fantasio Perfomance Presents: Grit Your Teeth and Prevail - The First Bushland Wars~!
Slots: Minor or Moderate
A street show that is being put on by none other than Carmine Fantasio, a local and well respected/beloved theater performer from Kyroge's MA Hall that is putting a historical reenactment of the First Bushland Wars! Auditions are taking place for random people to earn a part in the show and their 15 minutes of fame, as well as potentially winning random prizes by Chance or answering Questions/Prompts correctly! Moderate Slots will see you inevitably play in a major scene of the Play or otherwise have a big hand in it going smoothly, while a Minor Slot will likely land you in the crowd to enjoy the show.

Seddi notes down the time Bernhard gave him, as well as Oz keeping everyone updated on her current location since John and his friends are skulking around.  Sounds like he'll be meeting Sylvia first at the park in the clearing, then Bernhard later at the embassy.  He's got some time to kill before those meetings though, so...

He'll spend a Minor Encounter on watching the performance!  He is but a visitor to these lands, so learning more about their history directly from the people who live here is almost certainly going to be a plus in his books!  Never know what you might learn in these kinds of reenactments...

If necessary, Vernon will spell out the Pokemon's name like you'd communicate with a paralysis victim who can only blink.

The fruitiest dragon that ever was (well, maybe the Hydrapple line could contest that) preened at your compliment, and your questions is meet with them bringing out a tablet with another Vine Whip and typing the following on it:

[Thank you! Yes, I can write! I'm an Independent Pokemon - took awhile, but I'm equal to any other Citizen in the World! Wish I didn't have to leave my homeland behind to follow my dream, but you dreams are like seeds - you got to work to make them bloom! ]

They said their name was Passion Frugon, and give you a free Sitrus Berry for being such an eager and honest guy as well as bringing in a polite Grass type too!

Later: "Any tips on the best way to use a Lovnom berry to achieve long term obedience? Is there a difference based on when you feed it, or is it anything goes?"

While talking, Vernon competently tests each fruit for ripeness and relative size (since the price is per each rather than by the pound). But in the end, he can't help but spend money as fast as he acquires it, and he buys an entire basketful of fruit from the colorful dragon.

The Pita fruits are taken to a nearby park and divided into three, where Dodrio and Pwee each get careful arrangements of fruit. Each head of Dodrio gets 1/3rd, which is probably more than a normal Dodrio could eat, but Vernon is expecting the oversized and greedy critter won't mind. Naturally, Vernon goes through the usual process of mollifying the heads. If still hungry, Dodrio is allowed to scavenge in the park. Dodrio only needs one more Loyalty to break even.

Vernon is trying to get Pwee to grow, since this'll be multiple significant meals three days in a row! (fourth Big Meal overall). Dodrio is already large enough, (though more size never hurts), but Vernon is hoping to tame the triple bird enough for overland riding later.

Your meager treasures didn't seem to provoke much interest in the Guru, but they sat up straight the moment you brought out the Pure Seed, setting aside their pipe and fixing you with a piercing 'look'

As a Bug Specialist, though, you could feel the Potent energy wafting off it - dare you say it had a very regal air about it.

"I offer you this in exchange for the Seed and your treasures; I trust you are aware of how Special it is? If you want a suitable candidate for it you will have to offer more or go find one yourself. Trust me when I say you will have great difficulty in finding one.

Darren gives the Guru a look, and adds the feather crown to the pile of trades, admittedly, the, what I'm assuming is, Royal Jelly on it's own is an interesting find, Darren wants to see if he can get a suitable candidate. "If this additional item isn't enough to get a *ahem* suitable candidate, can you at least tell me what I should be looking for?"

Then we'll bring Zephy into the scene - we'll hand the birdmouse the drawing she made of Myra's evolution from Day 1 of this campaign (see my Inventory, noted as 'more artworks') , and have Zephy show it to this creature. That should make it aware that Myra has an owner - Bernhards keeps watching...

Zephy gives you a wobbly thumbs up and goes over to smooze her fellow hybrid.

Mentally Bernhard facepalms, what just occured must been an after-effect of what occured yesterday when the channeled Spellbind and - sorry for the profany - killed those Rats. But he also SMILES, progress has been made on getting that fox-lizard-creature as a new magical companion. He also does recognize Sylvia from having met her at the cafe before - what is she doing here?! ...No hard feelings though, perhaps she can be of decent help and good use right now. Or more like she IS of decent help and good use here.

Towards Zephy pleading for HALP!, Bernhard would give her a knowing/caring smile and...a double-thumbs-up it seems! ( b ÒωÓ)b He signals the dazzed birdmouse to keep going... "Well done! Having placed Zephy down and right in front of the Iox-creature, he then hands the birdmouse an Ultra Ball (I only have 3 in total, gotta remember to stock up on these!) as well as that red rose received earlier (because call Bern old-fashioned if you want, but absolutely no sex without love in his view) and have Zephy offer both in sort of a courtship attempt. That would also be a great point to use Attract EX!

....The crowd at this point seemed equal parts baffled, concerned, and for the more Insightful among them mortified, offended, or even excited. The bbq owner could hardly keep up with the demand for snacks as the 'show' he 'set up' was shaping up to be on huge 'hit' .

Sirs was on the verge of Fainting from how hard he was laughing, while Myra looked closed to Fainting out of sheer embarrassment and seeing such lewdness on display (as well as her own guilty pleasure) .

The Native looks even more taken aback by the Feather Crown you offered, a look of stunned disbelief for just a moment, before he slowly looked up at you with a most irritated and deadpan expression imaginable.

Their was a note of reverence in his tone, mixed in with a bit of begrudging respect and rivalry.

You can indeed get a Mon that can use the 'treasure' you have Obtained by Trading the Feather Crown, but who knows what that will bring?

(DM Suggestion: If you really want early access to what I'm implying her without tempting Fate, just trade away a couple of the Bugs you caught but not in your Main Party, once of which must be Shednija. You could TRY to come back later and scrounge up more Funds/Goodies to Trade for one, but no guarantee the guy will still be there.)
