[Game Thread] Lord Windos’ PokeRole Adventure 2: The Wild Lands
Brief flashback!

Seddi is not amused by Ralice's shenanigans, and gives Myra a thankful tip of his hat for her intervention.  He could have summoned Ceruledge, of course, but perhaps it was better that the Ninetales did the threatening this time.

The cowboy's still got some time (didn't use every encounter available), so Bernhard would find Seddi waiting at the Magi Embassy to deliver the beloved Ninetales back to their partner personally"Twas a pleasure to meet ya, Myra.  Bernhard, we need to talk 'bout what just happened.  Probably not now though.  Gettin' late, and I imagine you need some time after...whatever that was."

(I'll address Day 7 stuff in a separate post)

Vernon has interest in the Fortune Teller and the Pokeathlon. Munchlax and Pwee are permitted to scavenge along the way.
Vernon will text the party to see if anyone else wants to tag along, and will probably test out the Ask Sylvie feature at the fortune teller. He certainly doesn't have anything against Creshireans.

I think it would be funny if Oz went to the Afterlife Bar xD

*Flashback Time!*

"Ouch Ouch Ouch Ouch!" Was all that Oz escape in her mouth while been peck and bonk by Fortuna beaks. She didn't grunt or said anything else, because she is aware how much her sisters was extremely angry, sad and worry about her after what she did. Besides, Fortuna along with mentor, sister and partner, she also some kind of mother figure to Oz (despite the fact Oz and Glinda are the first and second command of the Coven of Witches) so Oz would not even dare to challenge Fortuna pecking punishment, with the occasional tears coming from her eyes from time to time, but aside of that? She obediently receive Fortuna punishment.

She ocasionaly see Dite direction and get really sad by her situation. She really wanted to bring back Glinda and reunited her family, but now her family is very much upset, angry and sad at her. She need to at least try to fix things. She doesn't want to give up on Dite because of a mistake Oz did. She must help her sister, somehow...

She look at the Pokeball where Hecate is inside, making her heart sink even more. Her angry and sadness is the one who is hitting Oz even more. Oz did fear if Hecate would ever think she was kind of replacement of Glinda, due to both be Psychic/Fairy type, and if Hecate anger is...Not only based in upset and worry...but maybe also...feel that her place get replaced? That her mother now have her other sister back, her place would be taken away? That Oz would love her...less?

Oz soul was now getting squeeze with even more apprension! She would never do such thing. All of her sisters, Hecate, Fortuna, Persephone, Glinda, Bethy, Dite and Meza, she loves all of them equally! They are her companions, her Coven, her family, her sisters! She would die and sacrifice her life for ALL of them! But...*sigh* She knows how...complex is the heart. Specially one such as Hecate. Hell, even more Oz heart herself.

Thats something thats been tormenting Oz more: In how much she screw up things, and how much work she have ahead of her: For Hecate, Dite and Fortuna. She must do this. For her family and sisters.

Oz did receive Sylvia message...And was enough to make her stand up from the bed, problably startling Fortuna and Glinda. Her eyes was glued to her phone, looking at the screen with pure disbelief. If she didn't cry enough, that news was enough to make her cry even more. She put the cellphone close to her heart, while her eyes were paintfully closed.

"Sylvia...I was not even able to property thank you for saving me...We...we should had interact more! You save my life...Thank you!" Oz put a hand on her mouth, trying to control the sobs coming from her mouth. She feels sad of Sylvia leaving the group...but she at least feels, relief in knows she will still be able to contact the group from time to time.

She decided to at least send her a message, before she go to bed.

Ask Sylvia! : " [You saved my Life/Sylvia, I can't thank you enough for what you did for me. You have my eternal gratitude for granting me and my sister the opportunity to be together once more. I...I need a help though. How can I help rebuild the trust of my sisters? They are...angry at me because of my decision. I been thinking in go to the festival tomorrow and help rebuild the trust, but...I don't know. What should I do?]

Oz then wait a few minutes to see if Sylvia would answer her phone, and then after receiving (or not) the message, she decided to put the phone aside, and then drove into the land of dreams, trying to recover from this wild day, and hopefully, begin her journey in fix things.

*Day 7 Start!*

Oz wake up from the bed, a little better, but still shake up from the events of yesterday. She look around, and see all of her sisters still closed to her bed in the previous positions as they are. Bethy with Dite on her side, sleeping side by side. Fortuna in Oz bed, always watchful for any chaos. Meza, still sleeping to the bed of Oz. And Persephone? Snoozing yet, some ectoplasma drool driping from her mouth. And Glinda? She was sleeping close to Oz, the poor girl possible passed out due to watch Oz, and falling sleep close to Oz.

And still...no sight of Hecate.

This realization hit like a brick on Oz, her eyes sinking hard. She stand up from her bed, making sure to not wake up any of her sisters, her hair a big mess. She go to the bathroom, and brush her teeth, her own reflection looking at her...Almost judging. And...sometimes she could swear she could...see some pair of eyes in her peripherical vision. Eyes full of wrath. Angry. And...

It was the same. She try to turn aside her face, trying not to think of it. "No...Not...now." Eventually, she will have to face that eyes again. And her sisters, specially Hecate, will problably learn of her. WHY she bring back Glinda. And...

Why Oz hate herself.

Oz after a while she takes a bath, getting the clean needed and decided to check her phone, maybe see if Sylvia have any answer from yesterday question. She tap her finger, and decided to check the news. She see the festival start today. She though about what to do...The festival could indeed help improve her mood and help fix the situation with her sisters. But...

...

She decided to send a message to some people and maybe...Get some help. The first person she though was Tiffany. She really likes her, and she did help her quite a lot. The other one was Dodger. Its been a while since she get a call from him, and have a nice time with him could help. And...there Seddi. His look of disapointing and anger still haunt Oz, but after what happened yesterday, she fear she would not able to escape the sigh of him, specially since he is problably worry sick of her.

With a defeat sigh, she send a message to the cowboy hero. And to the rest of the gang.

To everyone: Good day people. I fine today. Dont need to worry to much about me.

Seddi/@Dragonstrike: Hi. Good day Seddi. How you doing? I...I...Good. I woke up fine...Listen. I thank you for what you did for me yesterday too. I...You problably still angry at me. And that would understanble.

She stop from writting for a second, and then sigh to give him a straight answer.

Seddi: ...There gonna be a festival today. I wanted to go there to...enjoy a good time, and maybe help rebuild my relantioship with my sisters...They are still upset because of yesterday. I also...think we didnt had time to enjoy a good time together as...companions, so I wanted to know if you are free today? If not, I will understand.

Enigma Berry Obtained! Eat to make any Fortune or Strange Event/Encounter even MORE Special, before, during, or after!

Your cuddle bug claps exitedly as you don the silk bracer, eyes sparkling in pure appreciation and delight. You also see the inklings of thoughtfulness in her gaze - better be prepared for an updated wardrobe soon, mate!

Smore cuddles up as you graciously let her keep the Royal Jelly safe and sound (and scrumptious). She crawls up your side to rest on your shoulder, before clanking her mandibles with eager anticipation. From what you could parse from your Bond, they seemed to want a chance to either Test out their Might or Dine of some truly delicious Sweets. Chloe seemed a bit jealous of Smore's ability to crawl on you, no doubt remembering the old days when she could do that.

You got a full day ahead of you: What do you want to do first? Bear in mind the opportunities presented are not the only ones; if you want to ignore them to do something else or try to find another spar/Fight, then be my guest!

Since you didn't put a preference as to which you want to do first, let's do the Fortune Teller first!

Getting to Main Street was somewhat of a hassle, what with the throngs of Tourists, visitors, and outgoing city folk continuously partying in the streets, but when you let Pwee out they parted ways somewhat easier. Munchlax's adorableness and relative rarity earnt him several fond treats and belly rubs/head pats, while your giga lily duck took every chance they could to sneak and scrounge what leftover or poorly guarded non noms he could get. Both get a Full Big Meal from this; + 1 Temp HP for Pwee!.

When you arrive at the Fortune Teller, you see that they're staying in a deep purple tent that is adorned with the ancient Eye symbol, coupled with a few stars and a smattering of Old Unown weaved throughout. The place was being given a wide berth, the crowds seemingly doing everything in their power to ignore, avoid, or mentally cause the place to spontaneously combust. This place has no home here, that you can easily tell.

Entering, you see a tall, fair faced boy, just on the cusp of full adulthood - 18 to his early 20s, you believe. They were peering over a Crystal Ball that seemingly had a misty, starry fog within, which stood on a table that had for Blue and Pink burning candles and a couple of braisers emitting some indiscernible incense. The young adult was wearing traditional and fairly classical Cheshirian clothing of a deep purple hue - I'll leave the exact design to your imagination and elaboration, Iron -  fair and neatly combed back black hair, and a long, thing, pointy nose.

The 'youngster' looked up as you entered, givning you a bright smile and warmly clapped their hands together.

"Ah, welcome, welcome! So good to meet you in person at last. I didn't know if you would come, but I had a good feeling you or one of the others would. Please, take a seat,"

He motions to a chair in front of the table and patiently waits, letting you get yourself comfortable and ready to ask any questions or requests you can think....

He'd give Nalu some pats and leave him some time to rest, there'd still be plenty of time to test out his now powress later.

[60 exp go to increasing Nalu's special to 3, 12 exp for Lani's Fight to 4 due to rare candy]

Gloomtail is also put into the pc for now. Wouldn't want the festivities to be ruined by the aura it seemed to emit.

Seeing as Jess is (presumably) sleeping in again he'll make his way to the Ports in the morning, intent on fishing and not at all opposed to some friendly competition. (major encounter)

You got an irate little huff from the lil urchin, but they just sighed and continued to resemble a half-melted puddle of blue Razz berry ice cream. Going to take a bit more bribery to fully get back into his good graces, buddy!

Nalu's SPE Increased to 3! Let's see .....

(5) Noooot quite - they seemed invigorated for a moment as they focused on bolstering their Power, but they quickly sank back down again. You have a strong feeling one more Battle could be the trick, if it pushed Nalu enough....

Lani's Fight Increased to 4! That portion of the Rare Candy's effect has been expended!

Surprisingly, the Ultra Ball has been remarkably quiescent for awhile now - the Foreboding and [D a r k] aura having sunk and withdrawn to the point all but the most sensitive SOULs would miss it. All you could get was a vague sense of grumpiness, discontent, and.....solemnness? Thinking backing, the Ball has felt this way ever since at the Shrine....

...Well, the Big Gloomy Dragon has proved to be remarkably perceptive even Confined. Guess something like THAT can cow and subdue even an orney 'Legend' like Him.

When you try to put the Ball in the PC it actually bounced away from it! Several times, in fact - from what you're getting He seems VERY wary of going into it. That, and their was a sense of [C u r i o u s i t y] about how the very mood of Bayhama. Question is: Do you try and convince/force them into the PC, or do you let the Big Gloomy Dragon stick around.

Jess is actually out of the house by the time you awaken - from a note left by the bedside she says that she had to get up early to work all day at the Survival Center due to how expectedly Wild it was going to be for the next few days. Bummer!

Moderate Encounter at the Docks, to find a decent Fishing Competition? Very well!

You end up finding a good sized shin dig hosted by a portly and bearded sailor, advertising a Big Haul Fishing Contest for anyone to join in for a modest fee of $1000 Poke. You'd be provided with 3 Marked Pokeballs or 1 Net Ball (your choice), find a spot within the designated area (by the docks or over/on the Water), and then try your best to get the Biggest Catch you can get! Rules are that you get Three Fishing Attempts (Spotted by some eagle eyes fisherman with googles) and you tried to catch the biggest Pokemon you possibly could using the provided Balls. The one that has Caught the Biggest Pokemon, The Most Rare Pokemon, and the Most Strong or Unique Mon wins!

Afterwards their is a short tourney held with the Top Ten of the Competition, using the Fish you caught + 1 other Water Pokemon you own that helped you Catch them. Doing well here can end up with you winning the whole Competition, or getting better offerings at the very least. And of course you keep what you Catch, or can offer to Sell or Trade it away if others are interested.

As stated the base Entry Fee is $1000 Poke, but some smooth talking could potentially lower it or get you a better deal to up your odds of success. Alternatively, bribery (overpaying or otherwise) and a 'show of strength' could also net you better starting odds, if you have the Swagger to pull it off.

Interested?

The Day Before

You get no sympathy from your bird Sister. Take the Hard Stone you earned for your horrible stunt, Foolish Sister!

Good luck trying to reach Dite - you got her into the Negatives when it comes to Happiness and Loyalty. The only reason she hasn't attacked your or run away is that she's just for too Timid and afraid to do so; you'd probably have more luck make water dry instead of wet at this point.

Oh no, not that - Hecate is just fucking livid and terrified out of her mind that you BLOODY KILLED YOURSELF in a admittedly rash, hasty, and VERY uncertain to work Sacrifice.  She doesn't remotely care about your Good Witch, she's squarely and thoroughly upset with YOU, bloody stupid idiot! You could tell THAT much from the damaged Bond you shared with your Wonder Witch, wincing at the seething HURT and wounded LOVE pouring off her Ball like a gushing faucet.

Yes, indeed you Love your family deeply, and that you would Sacrifice Everything for your Coven, Your Sisters, and your Trusted Friends. That is the main reason - besides your death - why most of them were so cross and upset with you. It's one thing to say or know someone is willing to Die for you; it's another to experience it first hand, Live, Raw, and utterly powerless to do anything about it. You got your work Cut out for you to restore your Bonds with your Sisters, make up for your poor Judgement, and assure them that nothing like this would ever happen again.

Quote:"Sylvia...I was not even able to property thank you for saving me...We...we should had interact more!

You get a rather simple but sweet message back: "No thanks are needed. I did what I did because I wanted to, and you deserved to Live and have your Wish Granted. Though I do hope you never do anything like that again. I won't be around to do it again, so please be careful."

As for your Question, their are no Rolls necessary for this: "Give them time, and prove that you are truly sorry for what you did and that it won't happen again. They - rightfully - lost a lot of trust and faith in you for what you Did, and it will take a long time for you to earn it back. Be sincere, be straightforward, and ultimately be patient and understanding. It takes time to recover from such trauma, especially concerning Death and the miracle of coming back. Likely part of their greviances stems from your resurrection - they're on some level instinctually still grieving and lashing out, but since you are alive and the cause of their woes the mental turmoil likely isn't making sorting out their feelings easier. Maybe you can help them work through it, once they've settled down and you earnt back a bit of their trust again."

Day Seven

You are indeed right about Glinda, as she's slumped over in a chair by your bed, her head rolled to the side as she calmly rested, the strain from yesterday somewhat faded and yet still evident.

Stealth Check: DEX + Survival + Stealth - 3 - 1 Success (Glinda)
(5)(1)(5)(6)(1) 1 Successes

You barely manage to slip out of bed and to the bathroom, though judging by how restless your Good Witch, Fortuna, and Persaphone looked it seems like they were going to wake very soon. Best to get your freshening up done fast before they panic at you being gone.

*Rolls*

That reflection of yours seemed to turned mocking. Cruel. For one brief moment.

It seemed to whisper:

"Why did a wretch like you come back?"

- Before you banished it from your mind with much fervor. No. You were not going to let old, dark thoughts plague you today.

Today....you were going to do your best to have fun with your Sisters, and mend the torn Bonds between you all.

As you return to your room you see that Glinda has stirred awake, blinking her eyes at you before they widen as she jumps up and Teleports to your side, concern and relief very much evident.

"Oz! You up! And Okay! Thank Arceas.... Please, though, take it easy! *Stern Look* Or else*Frowns* ...And please don't beat yourself up over it too much. Your Gloom has been all too evident to me. What done is done. We and the rest of our Sisters will....figure out how to handle things, as I'm sure you will too."
As for your Encounter, are you aiming to spend it with Seddi today? Or simply waiting to hear his advice before deciding what to do ?

Fine then, the Gloomy guy could stay for now. Maybe it would be better to have it sense more of the ''new world'' before sending him out for the first time.

Poor Jess, if she couldn't participate in the fun he'll at least get her something during the day, for now it was time to go fishing.

He'd nod to the Sailor's explanation before releasing Ecclesia and handing her the Draconium Z.

''Some good old fishing and a potential workout for my fine lady? Concider me interested. This would mark my first competition in Sutalörian waters so if things are as crazy here as everywhere else it's bound to be a blast.''

He wouldn't try to bargain with the man, not intentionally at least.

''I'll take the trusty Net Ball.''
