The last thing Darren remembers is the ultra ball *click*ing. He comes to with the others over him and the metallic taste of blood in his mouth. He rubs his head from the slight headache and feels the antennae. "What the heck?" He looks over to where the ultra ball that houses the Flutter Mane, he tries to get up to grab it, but is still a bit woozy from the near-death experience. Darren points to where the ball lays for Seddi to handle securing it.

THESE news cause Bernhard to give both Seddi, Darren and - now that it's been mentioned - that very fateful Ultra Ball - a L O O K™.∑(O_O; ) Mentally, he is flipping tables (╮°-°)╮┳━━┳ ( ╯°□°)╯ ┻━━┻; physically, it stays with that look.

"He did....WHAT" He staaaaares at Darren and that very UltraBall, then a faint "Whow. Consider me BOTH very impressed AND very terrified. Well... *mutters to Akamu*...THAT does indeed explain that malignant curse he has been inflicted on..." He doesn't really show it on the outside though, apart from said LOOK.

To Seddi, in a non-chalant voice: "Very well then. Onwards to the Center then via Teleport please, thank you. You handle that Flutter Mane if you desire so, I will stay with Darren to explain things. In...Acrowls' and Arceus' name, oh my.. ." *deep sigh* Juuuust when the Wandering Hurricane's been dealt with, another Malefic Monstrum appears!~ Fun, rofl intensifies

Hmm... One more thing. I highly doubt it can do anything about the actual physical damage, but what Bern will also do is cast Aromatherapy by Spritzee over everyone at the scene (this includes every 'Mon being out). To calm the nerves mostly. If Solena can survive until being brought to the local PKMN Center, we'll leave them be. Aaaand Bernhard will call said Center plus hospital, telling them that they'll arrive with a grave emergency shortly - to have the nurses prepared already (very mindful of him).

Please also don't forget about Healing Wish too, unless Seddi has other options or ideas to patch up Darren's damage of the soul.

Damn, this was an EXPERIENCE.

Aromatherapy doesn't provoke any visible changes, but the calming, soothing set seems to ease the tension and agony present in young Darren and give everyone some much needed peace of mind. Spritzee is ever chipper, despite the area being practically a nexus of bad juju and Curse energy...

Solena physically will be fine for long enough to be Stabilized at the center, but her More Than Lethal Damage will have to be treated later.

Last but certainly not least, Nirix solemnly closes his eyes and touches his horn onto Darren's chest, causing the man to glow bright white! Then, it faded...still revealing a rather messed up Bug Boy, but....less so. All More Than Lethal Damage Treat; 4/11 HP, No Longer in Blinding Pain. Nirix Faints, after walking over and staggering by your side!

A cowboy arriving on black wings to a secluded beach!  It certainly makes for a striking image.

He's ready to bring out Kusanagi at a moment's notice if a fight is going to break out.  This was their deal, and he'll fulfill his end of the bargain if the chance arises.  Would be a shame to lose her here before she even met his final Sword, but he's a man of his word.  She wants a Fight, she'll get a Fight.

A quick Input from my side before I'll be off to catch some Z's (very sorry if I'm interrupting here or assume things that might not happen, but I wished to state this before it might become too late or complicate things) : If Seddi shares this with us all, then we'll delay Healing Wish and prefer to gtfo FAST here. Verry sorry Darren, your soul damage will have to wait a bit, but Bern is not against providing it iffff you perhaps can make up to him in some way sooner or latter.

Seddi would wait until he's not interrupting any 'medical procedures' before he says anything (you don't go and rush someone making cuts with a knife, even if they are only cutting themselves!), so as to not cause more harm than good.  He's got more information here than the others do thanks to the nature of his job, so he's making sure to give everyone a very quick briefing of his understanding of the situation once it is safer to do so.

This is one of the most powerful Paradox Pokemon that resides in Paldea, and that's before you even consider whatever Sutalör has been feeding the Malefic Monstrum!  Suffice to say, Seddi doesn't want to necessarily find out what it's capable of first hand without being extremely prepared for it!

Glinda is summoned shortly after that statement.  "We've got a Teleport handy, courtesy of Oz, so let's move as soon as we can.  I'll contact the Professor as soon as we're back."

Once he tries to Move/be gotten OUT of the Sand Pit, however...

Suddenly the pit convulses, the very earth SHUDDERING and v i b r a t i n g , before it starts trying to suck Darren back into it! Then THICK, [b]pitch black tentacles with a faint pink sheen sprout from the very bottom of it and latched onto Darren, trying to pull the poor boy straight down too!!! The rocks in the pit sunk D E E P E R, and at the bottom center a Ventablack Void of H A T E  and C U R S E  had bubbled up, roiling and toiling as it prepared to drown and consume THE ONE ...

Akamu, on the very edge of the now Curse Animated Sand Maw, [b]gets grabbed by a Tentacle too and is threatened to join THE ONE on an upleasent trip down!

Seddi and Bern are far enough way to avoid immediate consequences, but now both can feel the animosity the cowboy first feel grow to a whole new level...

Vern is blow away by the STRONG FORCE of it all, sent flying through the air and away from the action!

...and with it both of you could hear faint, mischievous, yet nerve freezing giggle farther off. Somehow, you know this came from a BAD Ghost. A POWERFUL one, beckoned by the RAGE and INDIGNATION and CURSE of the Flutter Mane, who was now poised to be devoured with her inadvertent C r e a t i o n  o f  HATE along with her new Trainer and the blue-haired healer...!

If his arms are tied well there is only one real option. He may not have the mirror in front of him but that wouldn‘t stop him from calling out for *her* help, in a tone more dire then ever before.

(A simple 'Fuck' is way too mild! This is A 'Oh Fuck, Oh no' on a whole new level, with a hundred exlamation marks and in the boldest formatting there is. Personally though, I love this scene, it indeed reminds me on Cthulhu [the TTRPG]. And I played enough Cthulhu to know you should not anger arcane beings when they're angry already!!)


That...very moment things went so so very W R O N G, it was done with being stoic and calm for Bernhard. There was like the most obvious expression of horror on him. For like the first time in quite a while, he was...fearful. Afraid. Nervous. Everything, basically.

Immediate trauma response triggered on his end - Which one?

 ......FLIGHT

He immediately recalls Nirix. Same with Zephy, if she was still out. If she protests, he'd tell her something along the lines of 'having done his share with Wish* and Healing Wish, and that he is very well aware when you should not be a hero and trying to save everyone'

Will he blame himself for this action later on? Definitely. But that's the lesser evil.

With the same speed as he arrived on the scene, he tries to get away from the beach. Perhaps runs into Vernon along the way. He rushes into the nearest Pokemon Center and almost comes crashing through the door. "Help..." Is all that escapes him... "Please send your strongest forces to the beach... A Flutter Mane, angry as hell..." Then, perhaps he too blacks out.


Course of action:
Get dafaque away indeed (I'm so sorry), but ask for help at the Center - well, at least he tried.

While Bernhard is running for his life instead of helping, Seddi stands firm; holds onto his hat; and shields his face from the explosive force with it and his other arm.  When he looks back up, he stares into that pit with equal parts determination and anger.

That Ghost will not be taking anyone's lives today if he has a say in the matter!

Kusanagi immediately hits the field!  This has immediately become a life threatening scenario, and she's the best qualified 'mon for this job!

"Kusanagi, Ghost tentacles at the bottom of the sand pit!  Need ya to CUT them before they drag us all in!  Lethal Force is authorized!  Fortuna, get that Tailwind back up and get ready to drag Darren out of there as soon as he's free!"

If Akamu's struggling to get out, then Seddi has another idea that might help him.

"Soak those tentacles as well, Kusanagi!  It might weaken them and Akamu may be able to use that type change to his advantage!"

Is it a risky plan?  Yes!  But if he doesn't act fast and loose right now, they're gonna be in much deeper water (or sand in this case).  There's no time to hold back, and he can clean up any mistakes after the fact!

He doesn't give any orders to Glinda yet since he can only reasonably give detailed orders to two pokemon at a time, but Teleporting is part of the next step of the plan once everyone (or at least Darren and the Flutter Mane in its ball) are out of the pit.

Ecclessia, who was indeed successfully Released (missed the Lola's arms, HATE!) rather than try to Bite the tencacle opted to Catch her Trainer and speed on over to Seddi's side. Her usually surely attitude is completely missing - oh no, she is abundently clear on WHAT is Threatening everyone is will put her attitude aside for it to be Dealt With.

Darren lands right on the edge of the sandpit, and already the HATEFUL flow of it was draging him down and in.

The Good Witch departs from your side, telekinetically grabbing Fortuna's Ball as she makes her way over to Oz, who was anxiously standing by the Center's Entrance....

Back with Akamu and Samurrott , the former and his Sea Drake were going full peddle to GET AWAY from that...that....abominable Cursed THING, while the later stood ready, grim determined excitement plastered all across its snout. 


The HATEFUL Maw screamed and belowed and ROARED, furious, mad, angry, hate, upset, HATE, irate, HATE HATE HATE that THE ONE had vanished , the very sand vibrating like crazy and sending great gouts of it into the air, staining it a faint red-pink. 

It FOCUSED its baleful ATTENTION on the only TARGETS left for its FATHOMLESS HATE.

Dozens of new tentacles, dripping with foul HATE and Curses, sprang up from the HATEFUL Maw, all of them coiling together and stretching back.....to target Akamu.

Before that could happened, however, Kusanagi slammed forward to intercept it with her helm's sword, a hateful yet mocking grin of her own as she meet the HATEFUL's Maws Accursed Tangled Strike in.....

And judging by the fact it had Three Bright Red and Glowing Eyes and was three times as big as usual for its species....this was a Overgrown Alpha Gengar.

The Big Spook laughed as it saw everyone's apprehension as it floated closer, eager to get in on all the FUN that was happening....!

- and is aburptly stopped as it is promptly Caught by two Tentacles that emerge from the FURIOUSLY HATEFUL MAW , detecting something within its radius and automatically LASHING OUT.

The look of surprise and 'Oh shit' on its face would be comical, were it not for it swiftly being replaced by horror and dread as it's dragged right in.

The very earth convulses as the A.D.H.M.  made a meal out of the O.A.H.  , the already sickening and nauseating HATE and Cursed Energy that was drenching the Hidden Ring thickening to the point of visibly manifesting as a soupy, sticky, and AWFUL feeling miasma.

Something was happening with the HATEFUL Maw.

Slowly, the pit started to rise up into the air, like a Tower of Ruin.

It was at this point that Kusanagi, who's blood thirst was finally overcome by just how this situation had escalated to the absolute extreme , decided in spite of its Wishes that some Deaths were just NOT worth the Consequences and flees right after Akamu, who and his trusty draconic stead had already made great progress in getting THE HELL away from this Nightmare Encounter.

Fortunately the HATEFUL MAW(??????) was too busying Transforming to react, letting out a downright E V I L   and M A N I C A L  LAUGH FILLED WITH PURE AND UTTER [u]H  A  T  E[/u]

Encounter Over:  A New Hate Filled Curse Daemon has been BORN.

Eventually Bern (@PhantomUnderYourDesk) is able to locate and enter a Center to try and secure help for the Situation, but by then its already too late - he's notified that the rest of the group got the aid of the Center Oz found, and Rangers/Police/Military are already mobilizing to deal with Whatever Remains.

Akamu and his Dragon (+ Kusi , who unerringly tracks and follows them without once getting lost) makes their way to the same Center everyone else but Bern is at - let's just say Oz texted the location to them. This will be roughly ~10 - 20 minutes of travel, which is somewhat meaningless mechanically but RPwise it gives Seddi time to worry/React about Kusanagi straight up Disobeying and staying to Fight that MONSTER.

Darren is in ICU, as is his Solena - Current prognosis is hopeful yet still grim. The princess in particular needs more specialized care for their More Than Lethal wounds too.

Current Scene - Akamu being carted into the Center with his grisly yet SLOWLY healing Lethal wounds on top of Ecclessia, who is looking very tired and yet ready to pound whatever gets in her way into gravy . Kusanagi enters just a beat behind them, visibly tired yet undaunted and perfectly composed, satisfaction and irritation warring over her scarred, blinded visage. Seddi and the rest of the group can either be waiting for them, or with Darren as they watch over them. One of the group could also be taking to a Ranger/Officer about the situation too, if they want to put up with them.
