Does Fur Coat hurt its Pokemon?
#1
Question
It might sound like a real silly question but I spent an hour searching online and couldn't find an answer.

Fur Coat: Halves damage from physical moves.

So your pokemon takes half damage from any physical move that is used against it.

But... does this mean your pokemon also deals half damage with physical moves as well?

 No.
Fur Coat does not half the pokemon's physical moves.
It would be most accurate to say that Fur Coat simply doubles the user's defense.

So this means that Fafninter (for example) will not have its attack stat halved even though it has Fur Coat. It only gets a defense-boost.
