First Shiny encounter... and I murdered it.

Damn, that sucks, but I can't say I know how you feel since my first shiny ever was through breeding, and I didn't meet any wild shiny until I was hunting for HAs, at at which point I was readily equipped with False Swipe... XD

Just received my Orchynx, just said goodby to great aunt who cared for me and ran through the tall grass in Moki Town. BOOOM, the third Chyinmunk was a shiny. I totally freaked out and started throwing Pokeballs on it. Catched. After the first gym, my game started to lagg like mad... nothing helped, it even got worse. I was forced to restart.
So, on the newly downloaded game I ran through the same tall grass again - only to meet another shiny Chyinmunk after about 5 minutes. I totally freaked out again and catched it, happy to see that my shiny seemed to be reborn. About a week later, I just arrived in Rochfale town, a chain of misfortune and technical failures stroke - forced to get a new hardware for my PC, and the save file of Uranium was damaged - so another restart... this time without a shiny Chynmunk. *end of story*
SO WHAT DID WE LEARN FROM THIS? Shiny Chyinmunk are bad for you.

Never directly attack a shiny if you can avoid it. You never know when you might have an unlucky crit. Quick Balls are usually effective.

When I encounter a shiny Pokemon any type of Pokemon games I try to used the weakest moves on the Pokemon I have and also make sure the Pokemon I am using is the level as the wild one.
