Seems like the word that the game is still kicking has not reached these blokes just yet. I guess it has not hit them yet, huh?

The advertisers around here are doing a great job, with how many people we are getting to join, but I wonder why these media outlets don't catch new like this, when its their bloody jobs...

Well... they got news that official downloads has been taken down by Nintendo. Fine then, okay. However, they forgot that there were plenty of people who already downloaded it before, and that those who choose to invest some time & effort would get the game downloaded anyway.
Now, the latest information they have is that Uranium is dead
Because of the two original developers stopped. They probably thought something like "Game's down, that's it, lets go to other news... " which I cannot really hold against them, because in some point it's comprehensible.
They simply missed that the community have taken it over quite quickly. But in the long run, I don't care. Why should I? Would it change anything? I don't think so. Would they bring on the glory message that the game's not dead at all if they happen to find out? I don't think so, either.
Lol, and Nintendo lost players of PokemonGo because of Uranium?
I'll go back to bed. Let 'em think what they want, I have plenty other stuff in mind.
No, I'm not enraged. Don't mind me, actually. ^-^*cuddles up to all my Eevees*

Edit Reason: Grammar flub, oops!
)
I keep thinking about that myself, how so many news outlets are reporting that Uranium is dead... I can't help but wonder if that's because most of the actual news about the game is coming across social media from "fans" instead of the original "official" (in the eyes of the media) developers. Perhaps they have heard mentions of new devs, but maybe aren't taking them seriously since they're not from "official" sources?
Whatever the case, I can't help but wonder if that is a blessing or a curse. On the one hand, reports that the game is very much alive would help boost the fanbase, many of whom may not realize that development is still ongoing unless they're on Facebook or Reddit or Discord... but at the same time, with great exposure might come the risk that the new devs would wind up on Nintendo and Game Freak's radar. Uranium never got an official "cease and desist" or DMCA takedown notice. If it were widely known that the game was still active, could that potentially change?

"Nintendo, however, admitted that "Pokemon Uranium" was a hit. It is said that the game was one of the reasons why "Pokemon Go" lost 15 million users."
Lol no. It's because your game was buggy, Nintendo/Niantic.
And a game with 1.5 million downloads is not going to be a big part of losing 15 million users.

@ EeveeBailey Well, now that you mention it, never mind then! Let this game fall into relative obscurity (at least in the eyes of Nintendo and similar)!
I never cared for Pokemon Go. Always thought it was a bit rubbish from the beginning , given its mobile nature. Phone games like that may work in Japan, but I don't take them seriously outside of them (even thought the mobile gamming market is ever expanding...).

Uranium and Pokémon Go are apples and oranges.
Gaming journalism is awful. It's easier and more sensational to proclaim "Uranium was killed by Nintendo!" than it is to look up the facts and say "Looks like the two hobbyist developers burned out".

Well in part i happy to think the news say Pokemon Uranium its dead. With Nintendo thinking the game its dead, they leave in peace the new devs, and let them continue to work in the game alone. At least for now. With everyone (or almost everyone) thinking Pokemon Uranium its dead, the forums, the game itself and all the other related to Pokemon Uranium will be safe, thats its one of the reasons why we must be very careful when say "Pokemon Uranium its alive" to much loud. Share with others, but be very careful. We have luck this time with so much people reviving the game, but next we will not have the same luck, so watch out guys.
