PROJECT COMPLETE! Nucleon
#1
Hihi!

I've been working on this for a while, and it's my first breeding project, so I figured I should share Tongue

I kinda jumped off the deep end with this one, but here it is:
Say hi to Radium!

Here was what I was looking for:
-Eevee
-Naive nature
-Wish egg move
-Premier Ball
-Hidden Power Fire IVs

And here is the crazy chart that I made to show what I did!

.pdf   Radium Breed Chart.pdf (Size: 163.33 KB / Downloads: 2)

I'm going to go evolve and level this bad boy. See y'all in a bit!
Just a lil' Eevee, learning to draw...

Eevee is always nice to see, a pretty difficult one too with that gender ratio and step count so good job!

I do have a question though, why did you choose hidden power fire over fighting?

Ehehe... I didn't think about it much. I just knew Fire took down Steel types, which have been my bane lol

What are the merits of Fighting over Fire?
(I'm going to be trying for shiny at some point so I could swap then)

There is only one steel type in the game that is neutral to fighting and it is called s51-A.

But that mon is hit harder by shadow ball which has a higher base power and eevee also gets (teach before evo since nucleon doesn't learn it).

Fighting also hits the abundant dark/nuclear dual types for 4x damage whenever that comes up.

Fire is still usable mind ya but fighting has a better matchup spread overall.

Ohh, I love such breeding projects about Eevee! Very well done, and congrats to Radium (a fitting Nickname!)!

Yeah, I hear ya. Makes sense. I was worried about S51-A, but it seems like Fighting might be better, you're right. I'm going to try Fire for now, but I might make the switch when the shiny-breeding time comes.

UPDATE
(@PhantomUnderYourDesk and @Redstone, I do want your thoughts on this)

OK, first:

Smile

Second:
I've been unimpressed with Hidden Power Fire. I've done the math, and to be honest, Hidden Power Fighting doesn't look much better - the math tells me that Hyper Voice does just as much, if not more, because it's a neutral hit. (the only issue with that is the pure steel-type Gararewl, but that's not too common... right?)

I've decided that my best options when facing a steel-type are:
-Hyper Voice the living daylights out of them, like anything else.
-Wish on the way out to set up either FEAR or an Infinite Phasing plan that I'll work on once Roar is patched (exciting~). ***Edit: infinite phasing doesn't work Sad
or, most commonly:
-Switch out.

So, instead, I'm going to use Synchronize to cover Nucleon's other weakness: other nuclear types (Xenoqueen and Nucleon mostly, but I also see a lot of Urayne).
This means, of course, that we can eschew the HP IVs, which makes shiny breeding a whole lot easier (phew~).

So. Back to route 9, and see y'all in a bit!

Fair enough, in the end you're using nucleon so the choice is between extreme easy mode and really easy mode. The small optimizations don't matter that much at that stage so go with what ya feel like.
