Where to verify I have the latest version

Good morning! I've lurked for a few days while looking for an answer, but I haven't yet been able to find one for absolute certain. Sorry if it was obviously stated somewhere and I'm just being a bit slow.

How can I check that I have the latest version? The folder in which my game is stored is called "Pokemon Uranium 1.0" and within that folder along with everything else is a readme, also numbered 1.0. My limited experience with mods tells me this doesn't really mean anything, but I wanted to make sure before progressing with this save and finding I've got the wrong version.

I've edited my .ini with the changes specified on the reddit, including the new patch-search destination. I did this when I first downloaded the game (a few days ago) and after loading from the patcher that time, it downloaded some sort of update. But in the box with green writing I read "Patch Update 1.0.4E - 28th October." Yet elsewhere on this site I'm seeing mentions of 1.0.2 and even 3, and on the reddit the latest I'm seeing says 1.0.1H or something like that.

So, tl;dr: where do I find something I can check to make explicitly sure I have the latest version?

First of, welcome to the forum. As THIS happened, and the game is currently being developed by @ReeNormies and @Androziel, you'll have to follow instructions on this thread to properly update your patcher. As for how to check the version, just hit "check for update on the menu screen in game.

Thank you for the welcome! I've sort of done the instructions there, but I don't want to have to redownload the game if it can be avoided as I'm worried about losing my current savegame and I'm not very tech-savvy. I'll do it if I absolutely have to, but will I have to delete everything so far (as in, rip the whole lot out of /programs and into the recycle bin) or can I just redownload and drop it in over the top, replacing as needed? I downloaded from http://pkmnuranium.weebly.com/downloads.html originally but it's not clear if that version comes with the apparently-crucial official (?) 1.0.1 patch or not. Isn't there something I can just check to make sure I have this?

When I check for updates, it tells me I'm on version 1.0.4 and the current version is 1.0.4 so "no updates needed." Does this mean I'm up to date?

Save files are on a different location to the installer/patcher, so technically speaking, you can uninstall and reinstall as many times as you like and you wouldn't lose your save. But you should be up to date if it's 1.0.4
