And there we go. Looks like I'm going to be spending the first Will Point of the game. That is, if Ralts isn't KOed first...

Ya know, I wasn't expecting Nurse Joy to be this tough...but then again, we are doing this with two 0 exp pokemon while she has at least 7 exp for hers...(probably more though, since those 'level 7' moves are the 4th in the list and the move learning mechanics are based around spending exp instead of actual levels iirc). Meanwhile, the Ekans has at least 12 levels worth of exp and you guys are absolutely trashing it...

I'm not upset myself, but from the way I look at it Vincent surely would be mad as hell at the situation, so I'm playing it out. Nothing personal.
That said, I would appreciate a bit more warning myself before you send Larry into dangerous situations.

Basic action economy at work I'd say.
We had multiple 'Mons simultaneously focused on dogpiling individual critters off the table, whereas you're in a balanced 2v2 encounter.

You good with little bits of player worldbuilding tweaks like the Officer Jenny joke being an identifying badge of sorts among cops?

Let me know if I'm trampling on any setting specific info and I'll stop.

Go ahead, same applies to everyone. Though there's an overarching plot going on behind the scenes, it's still a pretty sandbox-like world.

Super_trainer_Larry: Sorry if my character went REALLY off at you too, but you push all his buttons with running into the grass. He's only being harsh because he cares for your well being, and figure that setting you straight hard and early would improve you chances for survival.

He does not handle losing his friend well, to say the least. So please, don't make him go through that pain?

Dies Irae: Any time, partner!

Iron: I know you posted information about the Ekans, but I have a couple of questions about them. What are their abilities, for starters, and is the Bold Ekans (Mine) Overgrown?

Oh yeah, they both have Shed Skin.
Neither is overgrown, I was just kinda surprised by how big and hitpointy Ekans is.

Larry's response will have a lot of potential for character background work - you mentioned his father.

Dang, good job on taking care of those Ekans in a mere two turns. I didn't expect that battle to resolve THAT quickly. At this rate, you might be able to even catch the tail end of our battle with Nurse Joy...
