Alright, my post has been edited to glimpses of what Nathan THINKS is the absol that pursued him 1 year ago when he found Ralts.  This trip through the forest has been sort of mirroring the events of that day, so Nathan's getting increasingly spooked due to not wanting to be in that situation again.

@Lord Windos
Thanks for deleting your original post after that one.  Makes it a lot easier to make the changes.  You should be good to go to respond to it.

@Super_trainer_Larry
Until Iron says otherwise, we haven't emerged from the forest yet.  You'll likely have to edit your post to reflect that.  Also, please don't assume another player's character is going to do something before it's actually done.  Seeing as Larry hasn't actually spoken with Nathan at all yet, it's unlikely he'd say anything about an absol to him.  We don't need a similar mess to what I just made (you know, where one player says 'this character does this' but doesn't actually have control over what said character does).

@Iron
Thanks for working with me on that.  Again, I do admit I got a little carried away there.  I can assure you that probably won't be happening again (since I now have a better idea of what the boundaries are).  You also might have to edit one of your posts if Larry heeds what I just said (though that's assuming you didn't catch that already).

Close enough, right?

Thanks all.

Yikes. Hanging in this particular fight by the skin of my teeth.

Not going to lie - I expected to be able to wrap this one up just a bit faster. Partially my fault for not waiting for backup, but yeesh... I forgot how squishy starters are in Pokerole, especially if you aren't built for durability.

Growlithe has a pretty good moveset for a starter though. And of course you have the Fight skill.

I think by the time you get to Ginger Town everyone should have a STAB move or a good status move. XP comes pretty "fast" as far as forum games go.

Yeah, it's working out pretty well, I'll admit.

Not going to thumb my nose at serendipity - I just wanted a police dog for the character concept and it somehow worked out.

Do you think Nathan and Ventus would have heard that "BITE!" from Vincent since it echoed off of both Trillium's buildings and Mt. Molten's base?

Sure, why not?

He sounds like he is about a quarter mile from you. Also, Larry would know whereabouts Vincent is, and Larry is currently in your general vicinity.

Out of curiosity, what kind of berry is that Mankey holding?

As for the Larry part...well, we've got no idea where the heck he is. We'd have to run straight in to him to find him. And I don't know if he actually is in that vicinity yet, since his post concerning the very much not focused training of Ekans still has a few holes in it that need fixing. Unless we're going to say he just headed towards the base of Mt. Molten for some arbitrary reason and is there by pure chance.

Just as I assumed you people are finally returning to the Pokemon Center...
