You have a Mankey in a Temporary Ball from Trillium Town, remember? Unless you wanted to pawn that off on Nurse Joy.

Oshawott gains 1Xp for training. 1XP to go!!

Carnivine Round 3

Poison Sting
Automatic success! Since you still have no chance to crit I won't bother rolling this.
Dmg: (2)+1

Carnivine faints and begins sinking into the mud, disappearing out of sight piece by piece. (unless you intend to catch him in which case you have time).

I've decided to rule this particular one an Insight check opposed by Pidgey's will.

Pidgey:
(6)(1)(5)

When the crowd of Pidgey descend on the tossed corner, your target Pidgey manages to make off with the entire square of hard tack. When you wave them away again, you notice the target about 20 meters away from you, still chewing.

Cottonee keeps using Growth at random intervals, happily. You both enjoy the warmth. The breeze actually brings three more flights of Hoppip overhead in a short time, propelled by rapid breezes.

Sighing in relief as the Carnivine was knocked out, he carefully approaches it and untangles Apsis from its grasp. Quite happy to be free from it binding, Apsis slithers over to his side, but not before launching another Poison Sting at the visible portions of the Carnivine. Looks like the snake does not like being on the receiving end of a Bind! Sweating dropping a bit at Apsis spitefulness, he just slightly shakes his as he carefully inspects her.

"Looks like you are going to develop quite a set of bruises from the Carnivine's entanglement, but you should be right as rain by the end of the day. Take a long rest, you deserve it for your tenaciousness," Ventus said, gently petting Apsis' head, before he returned it to its Pokeball. A small smile graced his face as he looked at the Ekan's Pokeball, feeling quite happy and proud to be forming such an effective bond with it. 'To think I was thinking of trading you away, my Apsis. We are going be great partners, I just know it,' he though, stashing the Pokeball and withdrawing another.

With a flick of the button, out popped Raphael, who was looking nervously at their surrounding. 'Looks like their still watching out for Apsis, oh dear,' Ventus though, before reaching down and soothingly petting his tiny angel. "Apsis isn't out now, so you are safe, little one. I was thinking we could practice a bit, and see if your strong enough to preform Metronome," he said to it, smiling patiently at Raphael. It blinked at him for a moment, before it chirped confusingly at him. It appears it doesn't know where to start with learning the move!

Ventus frowned a bit at this realization, and was brainstorming ideas to kickstart the learning process, when the idea came to him in a Flash. Snapping his finger, he began to calmly instruct his Togepi in the art. "Well, it seems you having a little trouble getting started little one, so how about I aid you? I might not be a Pokémon, but I can surely teach you the steps!" Sticking his arms out, he began to wave them rhythmically in front, while softly chanting under his breath, before stopping and throwing his arms out fully.

" That's what I remember of the move when I saw some Clefables inacting it, so why emulate them? Oh, and remember to focus on your inner power as well, and summon it forth when you are done preforming the action! Now, repeat after me..." Ventus then proceeded to preform those same motions again, in an attempt to teach his Togepi Metronome.
Like the wind, I come and go as I please... but I am always there to provide a comforting breeze.

"Tenacious little blighter too." He gives a little smile of approval as he pulls out another piece of hard tack and waves it visibly in the pidgey's direction.

The officer stops shuffling papers and looks up disinterestedly from his desk. "WHAT THE HELL ARE YOU DOING?"

Clowning around, mostly. That and feeding a particular bird that amused me with it's boldness. Life isn't all just training and fights.

The officer snorts, but does not pursue the matter.

"Come on... little guy. You want this one as well?"

Pidgey lands on the ground in front of you and begs for more food, beak wide open. It seems to know all about getting food from humans.

Togepi waves its arms back and forth expectantly, calling up its fey side. The stubby Pokemon falls over, facefirst. But through your empathetic link you feel energy gathering in those tiny hands. The side of its hand makes contact with the earth and CRACK! The stone beneath Togepi splits open with a well-placed, max strength Karate Chop. Togepi cheers into the hole, delighted by the echo, until you pull him out.

It's pretty tame, all things considered. Probably used to picnickers.

"So you do like human food."

Vincent cracks off another small crumb with his forefinger and thumb and offers it to the pidgey. "Come on. From the hand."

(1)(1)(2) Well then.

Pidgey flutters up onto your hand and accepts the food. After all, no other picnicker has attempted to harm it while feeding it!
