"There there, little mushroom, all I just want to do is get to know you. Won't you please come out?" Ventus says to it, staying a respectable distance away from its burrow. As he wants to add the Shroomish to his party, he decides to go for the diplomatic approach first. If all goes well, he'll have a happy, non-disobedient Pokémon to partner up with. If not...well that what he has Pokémon for. Thinking over how to get the little guy to approach him, he decides to try and bride it, so to speak.
Rummanging into his satchel, he pulls out the Persium Berry he got the day before, and held it so that the Shroomish could see it. "I have a berry just for you, a nice and sweet one at that! If you want it, you don't have to be afraid of me. Just come and get it!" he said. While has was retrieving the berry, he quite descretely palmed Raphael's Pokeball in his other hand. Always have an ace in the hole, just in case.

Evasion: 5 dice
(3)(1)(1)(6)(3) - 1 success, evasion fails.
Damage: 2 Str + 1 STAB + 3 power - 2 vitality = 4 dice, didn't realize how much power this move has!
(5)(5)(1)(3) - Moran takes 2 damage, now operating at -1 pain

(1)(6) - good enough!
Damage: 2-1 = 1 dice
(5) - Mankey takes 1 damage as Moran tugs at the foodbowl with one claw, then suddenly lets go of it! Moran looks to you for encouragement, then proudly scuttles over and puts the foodbowl back on its carapace. 3hp remain.

Swiftfire is feeling confident. Really confident. THIS looked like it was going to be fun. She hasn't been in a pokemon battle before, but melting that little ice cream cone a little? Yup, she definitely wanted to get in on that.
Nathan, meanwhile, is rather unamused by the fact that Larry insisted on joining him in this fight. He'd been hoping for Swiftfire to get in some quality time learning how a battle works first without any potential...interruptions, but now he'd just have to deal with it...

Shroomish touches the berry, and it withers away as Shroomish looks a little more healthy and green. But the Pokemon is still frowning a bit (or is this normal for Shroomish?). Suddenly, all the grass immediately around Shroomish turns brown and wilts. Shroomish looks proud.
Shroomish likes you, but it wants you to prove yourself as a trainer. If Shroomish is operating at a pain penalty of at least -1 (so you must deal two damage) 3 rounds from now, he will agree to come with you (2 happiness and 2 loyalty). Clearly, the Pokemon intends to heal itself as this goes on.

Minun and Plusle Round 1
As you go a-berry picking, two little smiling Pokemon with big blue or red ears pops out at you, fizzing with sparks. The sparks skitter along the ground toward each other.

"Impressive display, my friendly Shroomish!" Ventus said, clapping at the mushroom's enervating abilities. Such capabilities would be of great use indeed! Detecting that Shroomish wants him to prove his mettle before it'll join him, Ventus bows to it in acquisition. "I accept your wager, Shroomish! Regardless of how the battle turns out, I thank you for the opportunity. To the better!" With that being said, Ventus tosses out Raphael Pokeball, and with a flash of light it appeared on the battlefield.
Seeing the Shroomish, and picking up on his master intent, Raphael used the move Charm, trying its best to appeal to the better nature of its opponent!
Orders:
Use Charm to on the Shroomish in an attempt to foster feelings of friendship

Mechanics:
Aww. If I'd known I had priority, it would have been the Knockdown first for defensive purposes to force the Mankey to use an action to stand rather than punch Moran in the face, then a Scratch, rather than the Evade then Knockdown. Also, shouldn't Karate Chop deal a single point due to Moran's Bug Type resistance?
And now I'm awake...
If you're keeping the current init order... Since it's basically floored, I'm going to keep using a knockdown order on the priority after the Mankey uses an action to stand.
Second action is a conditional. Either Knockdown AGAIN if the Mankey is standing (either through recovery or a miss) or a Scratch .

"Oh dear, it appears that didn't work out as planned," Ventus mumbled, seeing Raphael getting its life sapped for its attempt at friendship. While he was tempted to send out Apsis to handle things, he had a feeling the Shroomish wouldn't appreciate a sudden 2v1 scenario. 'Besides, that wouldn't be very nice at all. It wanted me to prove my worth, not how ruthless I can be,' he thought, before, silently surveying the battle.
Shaking in slight pain, Raphael was cutely frowning at the Mushroom. Deciding it would not take it life being drained lying down Raphael decided to give the mushroom a wallop to the head for being such a meanie!
Orders:
Raphael is going Strike the Shroomish on the head, in an attempt to convey how annoyed it is at it being a bully.
