That fury swipes hurt. Swiftfire turns towards Cubchoo, an angry look in her eyes. Before Nathan can even react and give her an order, she blasts Cubchoo with an Ember in retaliation!
Action: Ember on Cubchoo
Accuracy: 3 Dexterity + 1 Fight + 0 Canalize - 1 Pain = 3 D6
Damage Pool: 2 Power + 2 Strength + 1 STAB + 1 Super Effective - Opponent Vitality = 5 - Opp Vit D6 + 1 Damage
Effect: Burn 1 (1)

Blacksmith Round 3
"Mankey, we've got to break this cycle. Evade ONLY that bug's trips. Take every other chance to karate chop it."
NOW scratch - primary
Acc: (6)(3)(5)(1) hit
dmg: (5)(2)(2) Mankey has 1hp left
"I should have cottoned on earlier to your tactics. That was great training for Mankey! Well, that's one down, so you've earned the first bit of your money. Would you like to keep going?" He weighs another Pokeball as Mankey retreats from the battlefield and takes a nap under a tree.
Blacksmith Round 4
"Well played, little guy. Go make friends." He smiles at the little bug, as it scuttles off to join the Mankey under the tree, the Mushroom Pokemon cautiously extending a claw to the Mankey in a conciliatory gesture.
"Right, Sir. Good fight by the way. Let's try this again. After all, I need this training as much as you want it."
He reaches down to his belt tapping the release button for his Pidgey. "Sieg. You're up"

As he felt Shroomish accept his proposal, a wide grin broke out across Ventus' face as he laughed joyously at his turn of fortune. "Well now, it seems my heartfelt entrety was Super Effective! I'm glad to have you a part of my team, Shroomish! Though, it simply won't do to just call you that anymore. Your a member of my family now, and you deserve a name like the rest of my Pokémon," he said, crouching down to the mushroom's level and pulling one of his empty Pokeballs.
Briefly thinking what name would suit Shroomish best, he snapped his fingers as the perfect one came to mind. "Your name will be Michael, my tenacious fungi. It means 'Who is like God?"; a fitting name for a powerful fighter such as yourself. Now, let depart on our grand adventure!" With that said, Ventus pressed the Pokeball against Michael's head, and with a red flash he was captured. Tucking his new addition safely away, he got back up and returned to the van. He wanted to patch up his little Togepi up from the rough battle it experience, and have some more time comforting it after its first lose.
'I hope it isn't to discouraged by its performance, but we all have to start at the bottom. I just know that it will become a mighty fighter in the future; just not right now,' he though, humming and petting Raphael all the while.
Like the wind, I come and go as I please... but I am always there to provide a comforting breeze.

Mechanics:
Are we sticking with current initiative order? Because if we are, let's do this.
Since the Blacksmith thinks he know's my plan, let's keep doing it.
We'll open with a Knockdown and Keep Doing a Knockdown as long as the Machop is up. Not like said Pidgey has options anyway.
Order:
Primary Action: Knockdown
Secondary Action: Conditional Knockdown/Tackle
Knockdown: (Basic Move) Primary
Accuracy: Pool 4
3 Dex + 3 Fight + 0 Brawl - Multi Action Penalty (2)
Damage: Pool 2 - VIT, Knockdown
2 Str + 0 + STAB - Target Vitality
Knockdown
Either:
Tackle: Conditional (Normal) Secondary
Accuracy: Pool 3
3 Dex + 3 Fight + 0 Brawl - Multi Action Penalty (3)
Damage: Pool 5 - VIT
2 Str + 2 + STAB - Target Vitality
Or:
Knockdown: Conditional (Basic) Secondary
Accuracy: Pool 3
3 Dex + 3 Fight + 0 Brawl - Multi Action Penalty (3)
Damage: Pool 1, Knockdown
2 Str + 2 - 1 Target Vitality
----------------------------------------------------------------------------------
"Alright Sieg. First fight, so listen up." He looks the pidgey perched upon his arm in the eyes. "We're going to have to keep this one off balance. Use your height advantage and focus on the Machop's face to overbalance him. Secondary focus on evasion and damage."
He looks up at the Blacksmith and smiles.
"You know what's coming, Blacksmith. Sieg! TAKE HIM DOWN!"

Blacksmith Round 4
"Machop, dodge! Then Karate Chop as it goes by!"
Knockdown
(5)(2)(3)(6)
Evade:
1 Dex + 3 Fight -2 multi
(5)(6) - success, attack is evaded.
Karate Chop
1 Dex + 3 Fight + 1 Brawl -3 multi = 2 dice
(6)(3) Hit
2 Str + 1 STAB +3 power -2 vitality = 4 dice
(3)(4)(5)(6) Straight flush. Pidgey takes 3 damage as Machop leaps nimbly out of the way. Machop never skips leg day, unlike most Machop, so he can leap almost 10 feet in the air.
Knockdown #2
(6)(4)(6) - hit
(2) no damage, but Machop is once again flat on its back.
"Curses! But great strike, Machop, that was really good!"

Iceclimber Round 2
Ember
(4)(5)(3) hit
(3)(1)(1)(1)+1 When it rains, it pours. Ponyta's flame lands on the floor near Cubchoo, who sneezes violently as the heat wave rolls over his fragile cold body. Cubchoo takes 1 damage and is at -1 pain.
Burn: (3)
Vanillite dodges all attacks, which is a waste. It uses this time to get farther away from Ponyta and hide behind Oshawott, hoping the fire horse won't want to be near a water type.
"Cubchoo, keep trying to neutralize that fire type! Fury Swipes; Icy Wind won't work on her!"
Fury Swipes twice down from 3 to 2 dice
First: (1)(1) ouch
Second: (6) Guess it pays off.
(4)(5) Ponyta takes another two damage.
Oshawott is still working on Cubchoo. So Ponyta is farthest left, then Cubchoo who attacked it, then Oshawott who attacked Cubchoo, then Vanillite! "Sandwich that bear, Bubbles!"
Tackle
(4)(1) hit
(4)(3) Cubchoo takes 1 more damage and has only 1 hp remaining. It is withdrawn from the fight. "You tried your best, Cubchoo. MVP!!"

Due to some freak combination of bad luck, inexperience in battle, and an inability to make multiple actions safely, Swiftfire takes the weakened Fury Swipes from Cubchoo head on. Again. She'd gotten cocky, and it cost her. She staggers back from the repeated blows, looking ready to collapse. "Gah, Swiftfire! Why'd you rush in like that?!" Nathan runs over to her, just managing to keep her from hitting the ground. She's dizzy, disoriented, not really aware what's going on around her...she can hear someone trying to tell her it'll be okay, but she can't quite make out all the words or who's talking to her...that...was not as fun...as she'd thought it was going to be...and then it all goes black...
Nathan recalls the horse to her pokeball. Somehow, he's been knocked out of the fight. He stares right at Larry with a fiercely intense gaze. "This battle's on you now. Do NOT screw this up." Nathan retreats to watch how the rest of it plays out, seeing as the fight is now anyone's game since it's become a 1 on 1. He watches the battle from a distance with that fierce gaze, and feels...rather defeated. That's two instances today where he's struggled to win what should have been fairly easy fights...though this one would have likely been easier if there'd only been one pokemon on the field to deal with...
Ralts is feeling rather sad, too. He sits down by Nathan, looking rather dejected.

"It's OK, you did great! Every Pokemon will faint once in a while. Take it as a badge of honor that we considered your Ponyta such a threat!"
I'll let Larry chime in for this one, since he may have some idea on how to assure he wins the fight.

Nathan just continues staring fiercely.
"Hmph. Well battled or not, she was my ride for today. Now I'll have to ride in the back of that RV with everyone else...gah, it's gonna be cramped...and now I've got a KOed horse to worry about too..." he practically mumbles back.
Nathan's in a rather foul mood right now. He doesn't really feel like talking.
