Dies Irae, so far it sounds like the Pokerole Admins agree with your interpretation of the rules. The example I was using is apparently actually from an older version of Pokerole when multiple actions were entirely different. So from now on I will start treating initiative and evasion that way, and Pidgey's strategy would have worked against what the Blacksmith did. A smarter thing for the Blacksmith to do (and this can be your headcanon if you like) is to make multiple conditional hold actions.

With our rock-paper-scissors forum adaptation of Pokerole where all actions have to be declared at the start, it should be possible to adapt to any predictable strategy eventually (unless you're entirely outclassed).

You do know the Vanillite is undamaged and Nincada are part ground type, right?  That's a pretty terrible move to make since whether the battle is won is on you completely now.

You do know the Vanillite is undamaged and Nincada are part ground type, right?  That's a pretty terrible move to make since whether the battle is won is on you completely now.

im no good with type match ups other than the main triangle, bug weaknesses, and fairy's weaknesses

I'd recommend looking at one of the many type charts then while in battle. In character, the pokedex can probably pull one up.  

In your current party, Oshawott is your best pokemon vs ice types since water resists ice.
