Its well wishing, I just have to consider that something bad could happen to him and everyone else before he comes back. After all, wizards are bad news indeed!

Let's hope Ventus is competent enough to navigate these treacherous waters.

Hmmm...well, I'm not surprised Ventus reacted like that. Though I AM surprised he immediately assumed the old man is some sort of spellcaster, since the book specifically states that supernatural abilities are something only very, very few humans are capable of, if any, and most people trying to make it appear like they have such powers just have a pokemon's assistance in maintaining the illusion.

Then again, this also gives Nathan a better look at why Ventus might be...overreacting, shall we say. From Nathan's point of view, that's what it primarily looks like. I can already see the argument between the two of them coming to a head when they reach Ginger Town...at least Nathan's still being cautious though, even if it's not for all the same reasons Ventus is. Encountering an old man in the middle of a swamp where nobody should be? Yeah, that's strange. A little too strange.

True, but yelling at  someone (or ambushing him with a frying pan and way too many pokemon at the same time) who may or may not be out to harm you when you don't know all the details is not.  Just gotta remember that Nathan is unaware of that conversation Ventus heard, and is trying to be polite in case things aren't as Ventus and Larry seem to be convinced they are.  Someone has to have a cool head in times of crisis, right?

Nathan, however, should be aware of Ventus' fear of magical/strange things, and given this guy is dressing up as a wizard with a staff pointed at the group....
@Dragonstrike Ventus isn't too happy about his fears being made light of, but considering this has happened before to him with Nathan and co, he's more understanding of your reluctance to believe in him. Not happy about it, but he's not going to bite your head off about it...yet. Trust issues are fraught with this group, through entire fault of his own, after all. If things go well, then Nathan can chastise him about his paranioa. If things don't go well, however....well, its not paranoia if you are right, right?

Ventus is keeping himself relatively calm, all things considering. He didn't shoot first and ask questions later, after all.

I didn't even think of that.  Let's just say Nathan hasn't noticed yet as of the time of my last post...though I included it in the old man's description, I never did specify if Nathan noticed the metal hand or not...of course, if he does notice it, then the next question is 'does he notice any fingers missing from it?'

Whoawh there, Iron, your story's surely full of suprises and wonders... I love that! Especially since I don't have the feeling so far that anything is completely out of place/random plotwise without a sense.

I appreciate Ven's reaction to the situation. It's only comprehensible in his case, and there's nothing wrong with being overly careful.

He sees a strange person in a clock carrying a staff, which he then points at the car. He also overhears said man and another colunding to bring misfortune on the party. Combine that with the simmering stress and his fear of magic....BOOM! You got a recipie for high octane reaction(s) right there!
