I got so lazy on my character sheet I don't even know what moves my pokemon have (other than oshawott and kakuna) iron could you update mine for me? if not just tell me what I'm missing

Yep, you got the highest result, so you react the fastest.  The +5 is from your stats, in this case, your Dexterity plus your Survival.  The total of those and 1 D6 roll is your Initiative.

When DnD players say D6, they mean a Die with 6 sides.  They also use D20, D10, D4, D8, and D100/percentile dice.  Pokerole only uses D6 though.  The (6) Iron put down is the result he rolled on the Die, being a 6 this time.

Nylon, in this game, every roll of the dice involves 1 or more d6s. In D&D terms, rolling 2d6 means to roll a six sided dice twice and add it together. Then you add bonuses like Dragonstrike said.

But it's more common, in Pokerole, to have a "dice pool" instead of adding them all up. 4,5, and 6 on those dice are successes. 2 and 3 are failures, and 1 is a potential critical failure which removes a success. Let's take making an attack as an example.

Metal Claw's accuracy is a pool of Dexterity + Fight + Brawl (in other words, it's a move that makes contact). I'm on page 331 if you're following along.
Valder's Dex is 2, Fight is 1, and Brawl is 0. So your dice pool starts at 3, but then Metal Claw has reduced accuracy of 1. So I'd roll two dice for it, like this:
(2)(4) - you got 1 success, which is a hit.

Damage is Strength 3 + the move's power 2, minus the target's vitality. Then you get a one dice bonus for same-type-attack-bonus. Might be 3 or 4 dice against most opponents.

(1)(1)(4) - this is actually 0 successes, because two 1's is a critical failure which cancels the one success.


So yeah - if you think you get it, you can detail all this stuff in the formatting of each attack. If you aren't sure, leave it to me or ask. I always double check 'em so don't worry about getting it wrong.

Arbok has three points in Disobedience on default. "The Pokemon will act on its own in battle and will not train as commanded."
I see trouble incoming as soon as Larry's snake evolves...

Larry, I would strongly recommend trading it out. That snake has at least 2 points in disobedience, and that is only going to get higher when you evolve it. Any higher at it might just start attacking you and our team! At 5 points of disobedience, it'll leave your party anyway unless you have 5 Happiness and Loyalty to convince it to stay! Or not exact vengeance against you...
