I dropped a new track in the Unofficial OST for this conversation specifically, btw! I think it's rather fitting, both in title and ambience. I also edited the link into Nathan's lead in for the conversation.

No, he wants to know.  He's wanted to know since the Incident.  He'll listen, and he won't judge.  Ventus did just listen to his story and attempt to comfort him, after all...if Nathan can even help ease the pain a little in return, he'll try.  He never forgets a favor. He's instead left Ventus an out if he doesn't wish to share right now.

Well, good job on that.  Must have taken awhile.  Seems you've triggered something in Nathan too.  Most of the rest of his story is on the table now as well.  And he's a complete wreck because of it.  There's still a chance Ventus can turn that around, though.  Empathy is a powerful thing, after all.

Cradle Where Feelings Rest

 He pauses a moment to look at the gloves he's wearing, now wet with tears.  He hadn't taken them off since Vincent had given them to him..."Vincent gave me these gloves when he showed me the basics of self defense...and now he's off somewhere in the mountains, chasing a Vivillon and a Voltorb for all we know...and I don't know why...we haven't heard anything from him since he texted us about that Vivillon..."

That actually made me sad to go.

Anyway, since the chance to mention it never came up, there would have been a plate across the knuckles inscribed into the leather. Vincent might have been a cop, but he was never one not in favor of tipping the odds in a fight. They're not studded because that would have been an offensive weapon (and kind of beyond the setting's weapon taboo), but the plate still lets you hit like a truck.

The finger-less design on the other hand lets you keep your manual dexterity.

Yeah. It was a little detail I thought about that when I was originally doing up the character. Just never became significant enough to bring up per se, especially since it didn't have any mechanical effect.

I think we have a winner for the music for what's hopefully Ventus's attempts to cheer Nathan up.

Yeah, Nathan was starting to look up to him as more than just the group's escort and an ex-cop.  Reminded him a little of his father in some ways, even.  And that's why he's absolutely crushed that Vincent disappeared on the party with no warning.

Good to know the gloves have that.  I'll note it in my inventory sheet.

Very well job, Windos. It's all player's knowledge for me... I'm staying adamant about the fact that Shiva will not stress Ven to share his story with her as well - if he decides to open up towards her, she'll listen, and only then.

Eh, @Dragonstrike, there's actually no reason quote Ven's backstory apart from making your reply unnecessarly long and a little hard to read.
