There is one other use for the item, though it requires your pokemon to know Switcheroo, Trick, or Bestow.  The holder is slowed down considerably, and are grounded if they're in the air.  It's a shame the rulebook uses the Gen 6 X and Y moveset tables for anything before Gen 7 pokemon.  Otherwise, Plusle would be able to learn Bestow and Minun would be able to learn Switcheroo for 13 exp since they learn it at level 13 in OR/AS and SM!  Well, I guess they still could, as long as Iron gave you the OK on doing so...

It makes me a little sad that the pokerole creators haven't fully updated the book's data to match the changes that came with OR/AS to many pokemon movepools (Ralts can learn Draining Kiss, a move it only got through leveling in OR/AS, but Kirlia can't?  And neither can get Disarming Voice?  Hmmm...).  I know it's a lot to update, but still...

They probably are just waiting until the next game comes out to update everything. I doubt they have the time and money to constantly rework the guide. I'm still impressed with the amount of work put in it, so even if its missing some detail, we can still get along just fine!
Oh, and thanks for not KOing Apsis! I'm glad that she was able to do something to that Ponyta of yours. Horses are the worse enemies of snakes, after all...

Yeah, I know they're probably busy. It's just slightly irritating, is all. But that's what homebrew rules are for, I guess.

Yeah, Nathan knows what it's like to see your pokemon get KOed (dat Cubchoo was crazy, man...).  Not fun.  He wouldn't willingly wish it on anyone.  You're rather lucky that all 3 debuffs proced on the first attempt!  Think Ventus can handle Nathan without them, though?  It took all 3 to bring down Swiftfire, and she nearly KOed Aspis by herself.  Imagine what she'd do to something weak to fire!

Haven't spoke that out yet, but I've been planning for Shiva to develope some skill in Move Tutoring. She won't take on the Gym Challenge, nor is really up to become a great battler, so this seems like a very neat side occupation.

Maybe at some point I'll be able to teach some of these ?-Moves to Pokemon of the party. I picked up most of them are egg moves in the Games, but at least some of them should be available via tutoring.

Yeah, and I guess you might also get to teach them other moves from their movepools that aren't listed in the book but learnable in the games, just based on what Iron stated about Switcheroo and Bestows' costs.  That Iron Ball may have some use yet!

One of my Wishlist-Pokemon has Switcheroo in movepool once it reached the Final Form via Evolution. One more reason...
*is totally not staring at Iron at this point*

Here's another interesting one: Switcheroo is an egg move for Cottonee.  Who can breed it onto the fluffball?  Minun.  Hmmm....Prankster is fun with it too since you have priority and ignore the speed debuff.

Too bad I gave the fluffball Infiltrator ability. And Minun and Cottonee are both female exemplars.

I honestly think, bar bad dice rolls or exceedingly great ones on my part on your part, I'm going to lose. You have more actions than I do, so its a matter of pain penalizations screwing me out of existence. Still, I'm having fun, so lets see this through to the end!

Why would you give it that ability? Its not my place to tell you what you choose for your starter, but Inflitrator is the much better choice. Why use its inferior ability?

We figure they are a front for something more sinister, but ostensibly they run a competitor to the Pokedex. So we need to breed a Pokemon that can infiltrate their base as a gift, a sort of sleeper agent. It will be dangerous for the Pokemon, so we need a creature that's tough, sneaky, but desirable to an evil organization. He or she will be trained from birth, and bred specifically for this purpose."

@Dragonstrike, this might be interesting for Nathan.
BUT, I am not allowed to tell you about the plans, since the Daycare owners prohibit this. But practically speaking, I'll be helping you secretely.
