[Too bad. Larry's Magikarp doesn't match the stranger's. On the plus side, he now has a full party! Unfortunately 2 of those are Magikarp. Let me know if you end up depositing these in the PC.

Wandering around town and searching for Carny Coins, he comes across a few offers. Given his relative poverty,a conspiquous lack of Magnets on his person, and no unpunched Sawsbuck Token, he found every offer to be rather...wanting. ' I'm too poor for any of these propositions, I'm afraid. Looks like I'll be on the side lines this time,' Ventus thought, thanking each of the people for there time.

A little more despondent than he started, Ventus heads back to the Pokémon Center, and awaits Shiva's return. While he's there, though, he decides to head to the training gym  and do some endurance tests with his Pokémon. Exercise keeps everyone in shape and ready for combat! 'Maybe some exercise and baking will take my mind off my trouble for today. Shiva will certainly try to cheer me up regardless, though!'

Order: Heading back to the Center and do some endurance training (Basically a training session) with Ventus Pokémon while waiting for Shiva.

"Buy a Magikarp? You'd have to be a sucker. I'll give you $50 - I'm going to dump the Pokemon in the river and recycle the Pokeball."

[Dragonstrike]

Nathan asks the two combee if they can look for some honey. He doesn't expect them to find much while in a town next to an extremely large beehive, but maybe they'd find some. He also treats Staryu to one of the two bottles of honey he got while in the hive. The starfish had earned it, after all. He spends the rest of the afternoon relaxing with his pokemon, enjoying the festival and getting to know the newer acquisitions a bit better. He'd meet everyone back at the Center in a bit.

The Combee can both gather honey and produce their own from flowers, which there are still many of in Ginger Town. So you get two more bottles of honey.

[Dragonstrike]

Nathan's pleasantly surprised when the combee return with honey. He bottles it and thanks the combee, and the two bees join him and the 4 other pokemon in just relaxing. Eventually, they find themselves just outside town, looking down route 02 and at the beautiful waterfall that's close to its entrance.. "Heh. Didn't think I'd have a full party of six this quickly. We've barely begun this journey, and Ralts and I have already made so many new friends..." He looks around at his pokemon as they socialize. Ralts is over with Swiftfire and Staryu, laughing as Staryu playfully shoots Water Guns at Swiftfire. Swiftfire will have none of it, of course, and fires some flames back, which Staryu promptly extinguishes. The combee duo is zipping around from flower to flower, and doing all sorts of aerial maneuvers as they chase each other around in what Nathan can only assume is some sort of game of tag. Porygon is by Nathan, just kinda sitting there. "Ah, come on, Porygon. You should go and join them, get to know them a little better. I know emotions are probably a bit of a foreign concept to you, but you should still try to enjoy yourself. Go on, no harm in some good fun." Porygon looks up at Nathan, looks back at Ralts and company, and then heads over to the pokemon. They happily let him join in their fun! In fact, Porygon starts changing colors, showing off to the other pokemon! (though it can only hold each color for a brief period of time) Ralts and Swiftfire seem to enjoy the display, and Staryu starts flashing a light in its gem in response.

'Those four look like they're having fun, that's for sure. Hmmm...' Nathan looks up at the combee as they buzz around in the air above. 'Ya know, it doesn't feel right just calling him Combee...he's a unique one, just like Princess is. Something special...what nickname could I give him though...'

Nathan calls out to the bees a moment later. "Hey, you two! Come here for a moment!" They fly over, curious about what Nathan wants. "So, I've been thinking. Princess, you're something special, and we've been calling you Princess since we met you in the hive because of that. Combee, you're also special, but I don't think it's fair to just call you that like you're any other combee. You're something special too, and not just because you're small. How would you like it if I started calling you...Zippy? What do you think of that? You're dexterous, and practically a blur when you're flying around. If you don't like the nickname, I can think of another one. Or if you'd rather just be called Combee still, that's fine too." (@Iron So, what does Combee think?)

Once it starts getting dark, Nathan recalls his pokemon and heads back to the Pokemon Center. After that training and the rest, he felt ready for Zamboni. He could do this. He also has two shots at it if he fails the first time. He was going to get this badge. He'd better tell everyone about his plan for tomorrow when they all get back to the Center...though the thought of seeing Shiva there brought back a little of that nervousness from last night. She wasn't still cross with him for asking about the egg, was she? He'd just have to tread carefully...Ralts is emulating this nervousness, too. He didn't want Nathan to make someone noticeably angry again...

A vigorous training session later, and everyone one of his Pokémon but Michael was exhausted. Deciding to go easy on them for there first bout of endurance training, he simply had everyone run (or slither really fast, in Apsis case) a mile around the small track in the gym. Raphael was the first won to give out, tapping out at around a quarter of a mile, looking cutely flustered from its intense waddling. Patting it on their head, Ventus handed them his last Ranc Berry to snack on. 'Keeping up you energy reserves is important, especially after vigerous exercise!' the researcher thought, smiling as his little angel nibbled on their treat.

Apsis held out a bit longer, reaching half way into her 'run' when she just gave out entirely. She let out a sight that sounded like a tire with its air let out. After her battle with scary fire horse, she thought that would be the worst trail she'd had to face today (Ralts didn't count in her mind, since he beat her while she was weak! Humpt!). Going over to wear Apsis collaspes, he gently picked her up and off the track, and placed her beside where he was sitting. Gliding his hand over her smooth scales, her whispered to her, "You did great today, Apsis. You had that Ponyta on the ropes, and you did well for your first time on the track. I think that call for a special treat later!" Ventus said to her, smiling happily at her. Apsis perked up at when he said 'treat' : more fresh food for her! Hissssss(In pleasure!)!

Michael, however, did phenominal on the track. Apparently his earlier lost spurred him to put in his all on the track, as he complete his mile log jog. He looked tired from the effort, but immensely proud of completing his training. As soon as he stopped running for more than 5 seconds, though, he passed right out. Oh dear. "Michael, while I admire a commitment to a proper workout, doing it to the point of exhaustion is rarely a wise idea. Rest for now, brother," Ventus said, quietly returning him to his Pokeball. Soon he left the gym area and headed back into the lobby to wait for the others, with Apsis curled up by his side and Raphael in his arms.

As soon as he set down at there regular table, Nathan walked in throught the door, and his eyebrow immedianlty shot up. 'Is this...worry coming from Nathan? What has gotten him so unnerved, so soon after his victory?' the researcher thought, looking curiosly at the boy. Calling out and waving to him, he said to him : "Good to see you again, Nathan, but I have an inkling something is bothering you right now. Come, take a seat and tell me all about it."
