[Meta thread] Iron's PokeRole Adventure: The Skull Ruins

It is pure data, but how good of a hacker is Larry?  The porygon line has incredibly strong firewalls to keep out most bugs and prevent people from copying the data and cloning the pokemon. (I believe it was Silph Co. that created Porygon and Porygon 2. And they're one of the leading tech developers in the pokemon universe, alongside Devon Corp.)

Plus, modifying code like that carries risks.  Backups have to be made, or you could corrupt everything.  And again, the porygon line's data is supposed to be impossible to clone.

How is it possible for Ditto to breed with them, then? That is basically cloning. Larry, if he gets savvy enough in Techonolgy, might be able to make an Upgrade Disc for Porygon, and then a Dubious Disk for Porygon 2. Its always an possibility to explore!
I also imagine if you ask the Porygon nicely, it could lower its own defenses for you, unless they are hardcoded to be that way.

Yeah, Larry isn't good enough yet, but it's something he could theoretically learn to do when he's a Pokemon Master.

Ok, good, then the battle stats are all in ordnung!

Holy Fucking Crap! My Angel almost turned into a Demon! May I give a standing order for Raphael to always hold back if it happens to randomly do a Lethal attack?!

That's just about what I was going to suggest.  Nathan also hinted at this after his battle with Ventus, by the way.

It's probably hardcoded, knowing Silph.  They don't mess around with their products (they invented the Master Ball, after all!).

As for the Upgrade, as I said, Silph also developed that.  Though the data for that is probably easier to obtain than a Porygon's data, since it's useless to anyone who doesn't have a porygon. Of course, there might also be those who attempt to sell phony Upgrades...

And as for the Dubious Disc...nobody knows who makes those.  And whatever they do to Porygon 2, they corrupt its data slightly, causing its movements to glitch and twitch frequently at best, and making it faster, frailer, and more powerful.  Obtaining one of them is...difficult.  You typically only find them in shady and dangerous locations in the games, such as the hideout of the vilanous team (let's just discount ones as battle facility prizes for BP as player convenience as opposed to hard fact).  You won't find them anywhere that isn't at least a little shady.   Creating one of them would be incredibly risky, I imagine.

And as for Ditto...uh...it's a ditto. Nobody knows how it breeds with anything that normally can't (try explaining Beldum, Voltorb, and any other genderless pokemon with an egg group). It's as big a mystery as how pokemon eggs are created! (Cynthia and Ethan have witnessed Arceus and the Unown create an egg containing a member of the creation trio though, if we count that event as canon. Though they would be the only ones who know if we did...)

I hate to bring this up, but Fire Blast has a 3 Dice chance of inflicting Burn 3. The Glaceon is knocked out, but I had to mention that....

Slight typo in Round 5 of Zamboni's fight with Ventus, @Iron.

Vincent notices just in time and shouts "TOGEPI HOLD BACK!" The little Pokemon twitches just in time to avoid a lethal blast of fire on an Ice type.

And that's why Zamboni is rushing to the Center midbattle.  The other good news is that while Burn 2 and 3 are lethal, the fire can be put out, unlike poison.  So Glaceon should make it to the Center okay, and the burn chance doesn't particularly matter in this case.

Thank everything above for that! That would be a horrible way for a Glaceon to die: Literally melting from a burn!
