How much XP did me and Apsis get from trouncing those wild Pokémon? I know its not much, given how...thorough Apsis was, but had to be something, correct?

@Nylon : You do realize you can go over to the trainer's challenge board and issue an offer up to $1000 Pokedollars to fight someone (With there strength going up according to offer)? If anything else, it would be great practice and experience for you and your Pokémon!

Larry, my Arbok eats bugs, and I'm not too sure I can stop her from gobbling yours up if you want to try your luck against her. Even with two on one, Apsis came out on top!

Yay, I am not plotting against him!
IF you'd like to have a battle with Shiva, you'd have to have a good reason for this, THEN she might be up to it. Maybe. Depends on how you approach her and how she's doing at that point.

So, about Pokemon safety:

Pokemon battling is by nature a risky endeavour. A good trainer knows when to stop, for sure.

Most trainer's Pokemon eat largely Pokemon food, and they can be perfectly healthy doing this as we've discussed.

There is some bias against predatory or otherwise scary Pokemon (Dark, Ghost, etc) but many trainers have learned to trust in their own Pokemon to defend them. Usually they will give you the benefit of the doubt until proven otherwise.

A trainer allowing his Pokemon to eat Pokemon, as we've discussed, is seen by almost everyone as barbaric. It's not illegal, though, except in preserves or if the other Pokemon belongs to someone. The general attitude is that once a Pokemon is defeated, you leave it alone in case someone else wants to enjoy it. Many believe that even a scary Pokemon encounter is something of a blessing rather than a curse. So there's a stigma against purposely slaying especially rarer wild Pokemon.

Others are more ruthless, of course, because it takes all kinds to make a world.

So, it's fine for Ventus to believe this in character, but being horrified by a Pokemon eating Pokemon is not a knee-jerk reaction or an overreaction. It might be the sign of a more ruthless trainer (Which in this case is 100% accurate!)

Then there's more biases. Pokemon based on vertebrates (Hoothoot) often get more sympathy than a Pokemon based on an invertebrate (Spinarak). This is something Ventus would probably be more interested in, as a sociologist, if he wasn't so proud of his massive Arbok. There will definitely be lots of bias against that Pokemon - after all, it's a Team Rocket classic, and it really does have a tendency toward disobedience. (and it really is somewhat outside Ventus' control - but Ventus would do well to keep this fact a secret).

Sorry, I didn't mean it like that! The gif gave the wrong impression. I was just missing my name in Larry's
'Who-I-can-possibly-fight list'.

I don't feel like being somwhat...neutral/agreeing in Ventus' habit of feeding defeated WILD Pokemon to his Arbok is out-of-character for Shiva. Many Pokemon would surely eat that usual food provided, as Iron says, but completely changing the natural diet of a carnivorus Pokemon to that usual food doesn't feel right. In real life, you wouldn't do so with your pet snake or bird spider either. If you dont agree with feeding them with alive food, then please get a different pet. If others don't agree with the eating habits of your special pets, it's their call.

Maybe there are different kinds of Pokemon food, depending on the various eating habits of Pokemon in the wild? Like, something for the harbivorous types... For the carnivorus... And for those with extravagant choices in food. Shiva's mother might know more about this.

No worries, Nylon! Here's you battle partner, Larry. *shoves Nylon in his direction*
