I guess if it was happy, it would evolve.
Defense is just another way of saying Vitality, really. The move doesn't reduce hit points, but it makes each of your attacks on it do more damage.

If you take the knowledge from Ventus's fortune, you might be able to put the info into more context. Other than that, you can tell him about the vision, and he might be able to see something you didn't.

Well, I was talking about the reason for the evolution, but that vision was also pretty odd! I'lll have to analyze it a little and figure out what Nathan knows from it...
