Oh, lucky. Plusle and Minun did not attack, and the caught was successful in the first try. It all went so fast that Shiva took a moment to realise fully what was happening, she was way too concentrated on the battle to even think about that someone might want to have that Poliwhirl. Now to think about it... It was first stage, bigger in size than any Poliwhirl she ever saw - and she did saw and got in contact with some amount of those before, given that a Politoed was a common request to her father. Too bad he had to disappoint most of those people, and tell them to please find someone who would be willing to conduct a quick trade at a local Pokemon Center. He had some King's Rocks in stock for such cases.

Her rodents looked up to her in curiosity as she approached. They also looked a little puzzled... "Haha, no need to give me such a look. Someone wanted to catch that Poliwhirl we wanted to knock out, so we had to hold back. I'm sorry if this was confusing to you, it came unexpected to me as well." Oh my... Given the fact that they've beaten up the Poliwhirl before attempting a catch, it may not be that happy with its new Master... But, that shall not be Shiva's worry.

She picked up the Pokeball containing the oversized Poliwhirl, and came over to Ventus and the young boy. Facing him directly in a non-aggressive manner, she layed the Pokeball in his hand and spoke to him in the usual soft tone. "Here. Take good care of your new companion. I wanted to defeat it in a battle, but luckily Ventus here stopped me." True words. If he didn't yelled at his Arbok to stop attacking, Shiva would have never realised and likely would have knocked out that huge frog in the way with more electricity.

"Now, do tell me, what has happened to you? It does not occur every day to find a senseless young boy on a path through a forest." ... ... ... A short glimpse told her that luckily, he did not display any wounds that might come from vile Bug-Types.

Sage, evidently feeling as well as he could this time, stood. Turning to the male who was tending to him "hey" he said nonchalantly "thanks for tending to me. I was wondering if I might have your name?"

Upon seeing the capture of the massive Poliwhirl, Ventus finally began to come down from his battle high as he surveyed the post battle scene. In a extrememly good stroak of fortune, everyone was in fine condition, including the Pokémon.'By all appearances, no one was but the giant Poliwhirl was injured in. Reshriem bless, I wish everyone on of our battles were this miraculous. Now that the threat has been subdued, let's take a moment to examine this somewhat ill man,' the researcher though, turning his vision toward the person of interest.

Looking at person, his eyes darted to a fro, recording the physical details of the man, as well as picking apart what he could see of his current emotional state. 'Hmm...besides the droppy eyes and the slight shakes I see throughout his body, this man seems perfectly ordinary, or at knows how to hide the worst of his condition at the very least. His emotion state appears stable enough, considering his near death experience on the road, but I will need to get to know this person better before I can make any definitive conclusions,' Ventus thought, nodding his head in satisfaction that his patient was recovering well from his overdose.

Turning his gaze over to Shiva, he noticed nothing was amiss with her as well, making him smile in relief that she didn't suffer in the battle. Noticing that Shiva was asking the man question, he just shook his head at her slightly "Well, by my analysis everyone seem to be unscathed, so let us continue to the doctor's and properly introduce ourselves properly there. While the danger has passed, I rather have our meeting in a more protected environment. Let's progress, my friends," Ventus said, going over to take the Shelmet from Valder, before he set down the path once more. Apsis traveled in front of him, keeping watch for anything that would like a nibble of her master. Given how initimidating an Arbok normally is, a overprotective one made predators think twice of crossing the group's path.

Eventually, they all arrived at the house, and handed over the Shelmet, infoming the doctor of its condition. After the hunched over man went to make a cure, he and the group settled down in the living room area. Sipping his tea diantly, he looked over to the formerly fallen man when he got up and thank his for his earlier effort. When they ask for his name, Ventus smiled serenely at the person, before replying in a calming tone of voice.

"My name is Ventus Zachariah, good sir. I'm a Pokémon Researcher and Sociologist from Unova, here in Chesire on a research visa to explore the land, and study how people and Pokémon interact here. So far, it has been quite an enlightening experience, and there has hardly a dull moment for me to sit down and record all my findings! Now, not to be rude, but what is your name? I desire to get to know the man I aided, but that would be a bit difficult without your introduction," Ventus said, smiling happily while gesturing to himself, then to the man. While he could introduce Shiva to him as well, he decided to let her do so at her own pace. He  felt that rushing her, or sharing to much about her would not be a terribly polite way to treat his friend!

Order: Conversation time! After that, see if its possible to get a brief lesson in medicine from the doctor (knowing what herbs to pick, and what treats what), before leaving the place with the cured Shelmet to hunt for a Wurmple.

The doctor explains that some of the most useful herbs take a lot of training to recognize, distinguish, and combine properly.
He does teach you one: the Gildenleaf plant, which grows only in the Fireweed Forest. It helps to stabilize the wounds (especially poison) of a Pokemon immediately after it is registered to a Pokeball for the first time. In other words, it helps wild-caught Pokemon recover faster.

Interesting. That shack that were on the end of path looked like... Ah, after all, it was a good place for such a person. While they all waited for the resident of the shack open the door after knocking, Shiva recognized that there...was an inkling of a pond in the backyard visible. Hmm... In fact, why didn't she get this idea earlier - The forest was somewhat special. There was folklore containing Fire Magic. People of Wineberry lived peacefully among Bug Types... How come there were no special herbs findable at this place?

Upon the door opened, her assumption turned out as right. Oh, she was high at spirits as off a sudden. Why did she not realise earlier... She greeted the healer in a tone that showed respect and appreciation. "Be greeted, old wise man. We hate to bother you, but we are in need for your knowledge and have come from town to ask for your help. Please grant us your advice and help. Look, we have this sick Shelmet..."

Inside the shack, her respect only increased, and she surveyed the surroundings with interest. Not direct intrusive interest, but rather in a way that this was absolutely to her taste. While she would enjoy nothing more to watch that Secret Potion being brewed, she understood that such a task demanded concentration aside from knowledge, so she better not disturbed.

So for now, she was fine to wait in the parlor among Ventus, Valder and the new young boy they dragged along. That Fireweed Tea had...an interesting taste... Slightly bitter, but sweet and refreshing at the same time. Shiva was able to taste nettle and skirret in it.

While Ventus was busy introducing himself, she got up and reached for one one the bundled of red herbs. Luckily, the ceiling was relatively low, so she was able to pick a twik of those even with her realitively minor body size. She levigated the twig between her fingers like she was doing this every now and then and nothing particularly special to her. More to herself than to the others, she spoke out one word: "...Interesting."

In fact, she didn't know these kinds of herbs that were hanging here to dry and the scent the twig in her hand was new to her as well. Maybe they were reserved for Chreshire and only grow at this place?

Conversation time, indeed! With @Sage, then if possible with the natural magican. Maybe he can tell me more about the lore of Fire Magic connected to Fireweed Forest, also ask if I can pick up some herbs to take with me to the journey in the backyard. Shiva knows on her own what to do with them, unless she doesn't know what kinds they are - in that case, she'll ask for a short introduction on them.

Seeing that not only did that mysterious man ignore his inquiry, but also briefly harass Shiva before abruptly departing from the cabin, Ventus could only tilt his head curiously and frown. Getting up and approaching his good friend, the researcher could only shrug at the man's sudden flight while patting her shoulder. "I might be a sociologist, but even my knowledge has its limits, as I have no idea why they chose to leave at this moment. Nor do I know why they seem so...abrasive to my attempt to socialize with them," he said to her, letting out a small sigh of stress. The researcher now looked worried, as the man's depature unsettled more than he initially let on.

"I do hope he's alright now. He may have recovered from his drug overdose, but for him to leave on his own so soon... *Sigh* We can have faith that Reshirem can protect him, before we meet again. Call it strange, but I have a feeling that this will not be the last time we encounter each other," Ventus said, before going over to his seat again and sitting down. Taking another sip from his cup of time- 'Quite the splendid flavor, if a bit too sweet for my tastes' - he looked over to Shiva and gave her one of his comforting smiles. "Well, since we have plently of time before the doctor is finished making his remedy, how about you ask the question that have been hovering on your mind. I've felt your curiosity ever since we left town, so why not answer them now while we have the time?"

Actually, Shiva was startled by that sudden voice directly behind her. At what point did he move closer to her...?

Before she could respond or react - or even get a chance to do so - he already wandered off. Not that talkactive or sharing, are we... Well, not blaming. She looked over to Ventus, in silent search for advice what to do. The twig or red herb still in her hand. She'd enjoy getting to know why he passed out on a path deep in the forest, but on the other side someone had to stay here and wait for the healer to have finished business.

Also, if he doesn't want to share with them, she won't pressure him. It's his choice.

Detecting Shiva's sudden eagerness, Ventus chuckled a little, before making a slight sweeping gesture. "You excitement is positively radiating, so let us converse! Feel free to ask anything about me, though some topic I might be...reluctant to talk about, given their personal nature and the setting we are in. Of course, I have some questions for you as well, but I'll wait until you are done with yours before moving sating my curiosity," he said, smiling welcomely to Shiva while gesturing to the chair beside him. If anything else, he was a gentleman. Even if he was a bit on the deranged side, from time to time!

Sage only just outside the door of the cabin went over to the nearby pond, removed his shoes, and sat there with his feet and calves in the water. After doing so Sage thought he might as well let his Rufflet and Oshawott sit by him. After letting them out of their PokeBalls he asked Rufflet if he might fly up and scan the surroundings for rangers and/or doctors.

Order: Send Rufflet out to look for various persons about the forest.
