Unless @Sage decides that, since no one is going after his character, to return to the shack. You did never mention where they were heading to by the wat, mate. Usually, when a chara departs from the group, they make a note of it to the DM and the other players, either in their thoughts/dialoge/stage directions so that we know OOC where they are going to be at, and plan accordingly.

Example: Ventus leaves the house, planning to return to town and collect his rewards for treating the sick Shelmet and catching that Wurmple.

Or- Order: Return to town, collect reward from odd jobs, then meet up with others at Genesect statue.

Also, if you desire, you can send Ventus a voice message to his phone about the events. That way, he has time to react and process what has happened before he starts asking questions to Nathan. Time that might stop him from planning anything too...relentless.

Sure, at the hut. I'd say Ventus' party probably had a little further to go than Nathan did - after all, Ventus is at the far end of a similar path.

If Ventus encounters the Pinsir guy, he won't know what the stranger did to Nathan, but he'll pick up that he's not the most scrupulous person in the world, and act accordingly. Perhaps brutally, if the dunce think he can threaten his life and get away with it.

Great...if I (and by extension, Ventus) knew of that post before I wrote that my very long winded one. If it happened on the way back to the town, he would have noticed his phone going off, but with the conversation with Shiva and Sage's character actions, such a call must escaped his notice. I hope Nathan sent that message to Shiva as well...

Nathan figured Ventus would have informed the group.  Plus, Nathan's still a little reluctant to talk to Shiva right now.  Not unwilling, but he'd rather speak with Ventus if he had to choose (how ironic, considering how this adventure started).  Plus, an actual call instead of a text from him is rather...uncharacteristic.  If he actually calls, then something's up.  The only person he's called on a semi-casual basis is his mom.

Looks like Ventus is about to spoil an ambush, but would not know about the strange man, only that Sage's Chara is doing something very scevy (Given how he's sneaking) and feels that he's about to do something bad... Classic case of miscommunication/misinformation at the works! Oh noes!
