That's why interrogation comes first! If he gets a remotely negative or malicious vibe from this guy, say bye bye to his Mega Items. Ventus will of course turn them over to the League as a part of there investigation, as while he would have no problem with having that power, he doesn't desire it so much as to prevent that bloke from misusing it ever again.

That, and he has an somewhat Alolan mindset when it comes to Megalutions : they are dangerous for both the Pokémon, trainer, and opponent, if the power it offers is not controled. Ven doesn't believe that having such an artifact would be a swell idea for him, given his...ruthless nature. If anything, he'd give it to Nathan, since he trust them to be able to use it properly WITHOUT making a total mess of things...

One problem with that: Remember that Mega Stones are tied to specific pokemon.  Pinsirite doesn't do a dang thing without a Pinsir.  Now, having a Keystone would be awesome in the future, but the League will probably have something to say about those rocks, so it's unlikely we'd get to keep it.

On top of that, there's the whole bond requirement that mega evolution has.  You can't mega evolve just any pokemon.  It has to be one you're really close to for some reason (Nathan and Kirlia are likely covered in that area already due to how they met, as well as having a year to bond before this whole adventure began.  If not, I'd be very surprised).

Nathan and Ventus both likely know all these details due to their backgrounds.  I think Shiva might, too.  Larry definitely knows.  Not sure about Vincent.  And we know nothing about Sage so far, so...I also doubt Valder is that familiar with it.  Mega Evolution is rare as it is, and it's even rarer in Creshire.  Nathan should be able to explain this when everyone regroups, though.

Of course, all of this debate is mute if Iron takes away such a maguffin, and saves it for a later use in the overall plot of the campaign. I doubt he would let us keep such a powerful item, unless we jump through some ridiculous hooptas to get it early!

Indeed, though Nathan would probably be reluctant to take the trinket if offered it, for various reasons.  Even if he is convinced to take it, he'd still have to find a Galladite later.  That's a rather limiting factor.

But again, I expect the League will likely confiscate the Keystone and the Pinsirite both.  Ah well...

Secondary Effect: Filling the area with sparks!
Pain Penalization: 0 so far.
Accuracy Roll: 2 Dexterity + 1 Fight + 0 Allure = 3 D6dice
Damage Roll: 3 Strenght (1 on default, +2 due to Plus-Minus-Ability triggered) + 1 Power of move + 1 STAB = 5 D6dice
Additional notes: Autoparalyze.

Reminder that the Mega Pinsir is currently in the middle of that pond.  Nuzzling it would require the mice to swim over to it...and getting really close to Aspis as well.  Unless it gets moved closer to land somehow, that seems a little risky to me...

Might be a better idea to order them to attack until the M-Pinsir is knocked out, as its a hostile opponent, or get them to ferry the paralyzed man away from the pond for Shiva and Ventus to restrain. Of course, the current plan isn't to bad, since Apsis is explicently ordered to keep at the Pinsir until its breathing water...

I won't change orders though, Plusle and Minun also caught up that Master reacts negatively to that huge bug, so they go after it.


By the way, of course Shiva knows about the Mega-evolution-phenomena. Whenever she could, she followed the TV-broadcasts of the Unova-League; and while Megaevolution is very rare there, it's not permitted. So occasionally a challenger from a different region triggered one mid-battle, and curious how she is, she had to find out more about this. Libraries and the Internet greatly helped. C:

I don't feel much inclinged to mega-evolve my own Pokemon though, it feels a little out of character and I'm not that fond of megaevolution actually. The only one that may come into question would be a Whimsicottite anyway.

At least change it so that they stop at -3 pain, as Apsis could bring Pinsir to -2 all by itself by the end of the round! Then Plusle and Minun have nothing to do at that point, my love!
