[Meta thread] Iron's PokeRole Adventure: The Skull Ruins
Ventus knows all about Megalution from his college education, as he and several scientist studied the phenomina closely. He was the behavioral scientist in the whole bunch, and the results got him to question how much is Mega Evolution is worth it, if it turns a Pokémon into a borderline uncontrollable beast. He still sees the practical application of such power, however, so he's not entirely opposed to the concept. Just...wary of its usage, and not to happy if its used casually or against him....

Sage, you need to be VERY careful with your word choice here.  I'd use 'faints' instead of 'dies' if you don't intend to actually kill the bug.  Because yes, death is a thing in pokerole.  Lethal damage is not a joke by any means.

Wing Attack is not lethal, though... Unless one keeps spamming it on the opponent after he dropped to 0 HP. It's also super effective here, so it's a good choice.

That's the point of the warning.  The wording in the original post is 'until it dies.'  Implying that Rufflet has been ordered to not stop attacking until it's killed its opponent (which happens after fainting it since we don't have any lethal attacks yet, disregarding Metronome).

On top of that, fainting also completely reverts Mega Evolution's effects*, so...it wouldn't take long to kill the Pinsir after it faints if that order goes through and is uninterrupted...

*Note: If a mega pokemon faints in the games and a revive is used on it, it's revived in its normal form and mega evolution cannot be triggered again since it's been used in the battle already

Considering that Ventus is only trying to subdue the villain and his Pokémon right now, and has no actual reason to kill them besides being overly paranoid about their threat level, Sage's actions will raise a few eyebrows. Ven has no problem with murder, as long as its justifiable in some manner, but since he doesn't have all the necessary details about this guy...Sage's chara might end up being restrained as well for interrogation.

Let's wait for the battle's outcome before we draw false conclusions about Sage and his chara, shall we?

If Rufflet kills the M-Pinsir, Ventus will entirely justified in subduing them as well, given that they murdered a Pokémon that was only trying to protect his trainer. Sure, Ventus was going to have Apsis use Wrap on the villain, but that was only so that she could bring him ashore for a safe interrogation. Since Pinsir intervened, Apsis is only going to knock them out (And possibly freeze them, to boot) before continuing with the plan. If Ventus knew that said villain tried to harm/molest his friend Nathan, his feelings on the matter would do a 180, but since he missed that text from them...

Good thing that I kept him occupied with conversation so that he missed the text, huh? C:

More or less, but he's going to send a message to Nathan about being held up in his job because of complications (IE: M-Pinsir and new mysterious guy), then see that he has a text message from the boy. Things are going to get a whole lot more unpleasant when THAT is read by him, but for now Ventus is ruling out Murder as the Best Solution. For now...

It wasn't a text.  It was an actual call.  I italicize the texts and such.  Nathan was actually speaking when he called Ventus about that trainer.  I really, really hope Ventus contacts Nathan about that trainer instead of acting...rashly.  Nathan didn't say anything about what happened other than the trainer was ruthless, so that's why I'm remaining hopeful here.
