Still good to see how he has his Arbok under control. While her rodents may still fear the cobra - it's only natural! - Shiva just trusted and hoped in Ven to keep the control. The hugs snake may not give her shivers anymore, but she still was somewhat vary of her. No unneccessary risks...

Upon hearing him mention the Burn Drive - not minding his sighs this time, he must be exhausted or burned out of all this by now -, something *clicked* inside her. How...can that be? Damnit... What was this blasted thing doing here in Chreshire of all costs?... Why does it exist at all?!

She waited though until he returned from speaking with Sage. Of course she could not make out the words he spoke to him... But it's not that hard to imagine, actually. Sage has that Pinsirnite. Appearantly, the League of Chreshire would not enjoy this at all - why actually? Eh, that's a different topic... But they all wil have to inform the League of what they encountered here in the South of Fireweed Forest. Precautions need to be taken... Well, that part is their business. She doubted though that Sage would let go of the Megastone that easily.

As Ventus finished talking and expressed himself approachable again, Shiva almost latched at him again. Almost. But she spoke in quite a haste that was unusual for her. Concerned and fascinated about the news at the same time. "Burn Drive... I... thought Genesect is, unless our Tao Trio and Forces of Nature, nothing more than a myth! There isn't much apart from old writings and drawings, none has ever really seen one... They modified it, sure... But Team Plasma hasn't been active for years... Did they live on in the shadows? Oh hell... And why is that drive here, in Chreshire, of all costs... Sure, the statue in town, but it's a mythologicaly BUG TYPE, why should they not worship it..." So many questions...And she thought the lore of Fire Magic in these woods was a big deal...

Seeing and picking up the almost tangible panic that was currently plaguing Shiva, Ventus almost jumped out of his skin in total fright himself. Pulling her close to him, he rubbed her back and tried his damnest to soothe her, murmuring quietly in her ear : "Shiva, calm down. Everything is alright. Genesect is not here, so it can not harm you. Calm down." If his earlier conversation with her didn't start to stabilize him from his Blood Rage, seeing her almost breakdown on him certainly would do the trick! Friends firsts, and their own concerns second: that is one of there mottos to live by!

When the worst of her emotional outburst had diminished, he let go of her, and calmly looked them in the eyes. "Genesect is not a myth, Shiva. They are very much a reality in this world, though its presence in Cheshire is as much of a surprise to me as you, my friend. As to how I know this...I have meet the legend itself. The details of my encounter, though, is classified to such an extent that even what I mentioned could get me sent to prison if any Unovian Secret Service Agent heard. If I'm going to tell you anything, I need to swear you a vow of secrecy. I can't. afford what I say become public knowledge, or it would cause not only problems for myself, but for our entire region. Promise me, Shiva." Ventus said, looking dead serious, the likes of which hasn't been seen since the Deyo Flowers Incident.

What sort of information could the researcher have that could be this critical?

Oh hell... Oh damn hell... The myth was real ?! Eh... Ven's full of suprises...

He managed to calm her, though. A little. To a degree where she can think normally and rationaly and is not driven by emotions and intution. So close... Ah... deep breaths do help.

In fact, she read all of these myths. Everything she could get about those. Libraries and the Internet helped much. Those mystic Pokemon... Celebi, Jirachi, Shaymin (her favorite), as well as those rather sinister like Darkrai. Don't even ask her about that Victini plushie at home. But...they were just myths... None of them were really real. That was what made them so interesting... The Lore. And now Ventus, right in front of her,  said he encountered the blasted Genesect. How can that be... What does he of all costs has to do with that bug...

His gaze almost made her froze, but she still returned it. Those words he said... He has met the legend... Vow of secrecy...Details of Encounter... Problems for our entire region...

It took a while before she replied to him. But once she did, it was audible that she has cooled down enough to securely prevent herself from cracking at this point. "I won't tell anything... Nothing... To none... If you keep on holding my secret mission between us two. Promised. None will hear anything from me." ... "But... Unsure whether this is the right place to tell... Shouldn't Nathan hear about this as well? You plan to tell him as well? If so, maybe we should wait with revelations... If not and you only wish to tell me, feel free to do so."

The relief that appeared on Ventus face, like clouds parting and letting sunlight through, was almost audible. "...Thank you, Shiva. You need not request I keep your secret, for I already promised earlier, but I'll renew my vow again. I won't disclose that you have a secret mission for the Daycare, you have my word," he said, looking thankful and relieved that she had not only calmed down, but promised to keep his secret. Still, what she said about including Nathan...she had a point.

'When I tell everyone the whole story, they are going to ask about my knowledge of the Drive System anyway, and I have already told Nathan some detail about Genesect, against my better judgement. I had to offer him something in exchange for the knowledge he imparted to me, though...' the researcher thought, before he spoke to the young lass once more. "You are right about including Nathan on my secret. If I'm going to tell him the full story of what transpired here, and my findings, he should be aware of my complete and full knowledge of Genesect, or he will be needlessly confused. If you can wait until we meet up with him, and can find a private location to speak about this, then I can wait in my explanation."

"... I surely can wait. No need to dive right into it." Not much more of a whisper, but he'll still get it.

In fact, they should not make Nathan at the Center wait any longer... The Healer must have finished the Secret Potion for Shelmet as well by now... Dive was a good point as well, Apsis was still down in the pond... Sage has a Megastone to deal with... And they were in the middle of the woods filled with Bug Types. The warm colours of the foliage...

Abra teleports the Pinsir to the Pokemon Center, where Nathan receives it. It has clearly been treated roughly.

Abra returns.

Apsis is strong enough to snap the red wedge from the door. The door, being steel, remains intact. The drive, upon examination, is a bit damaged but should still perform its function without any repairs. Examining the bottom of the drive, where it is intended to plug in to Genesect's cannon, Ventus sees that the interface is not as technologically complicated as he expected. Genesect uses a strange direct surface-to-surface interface, with circuits built into the very fabric of the drive. This has just a few simple metal prongs in a little inset port.


When someone checks out the little healer shack, they find Shelmet's Pokeball on the table next to some more Secret Potion and instructions for continued ingestion of the potion. The note says the good doctor was called away on business and Shelmet is ready to be returned to its owner.

Thankfully, Helios did bring Pinsir. But as Shiva had said, there was no mega stone. "Arceus dang it. Welp, better get this ball rolling. Kirlia, is this the same Pinsir that we fought? We need to double check that before we do anything else since they didn't send the mega stone for whatever reason..."

Kirlia thinks so, but isn't entirely sure. Something seems different, but maybe that's just because it doesn't have any mega energy right now.

Soon as the Abra returned, Shiva welcomedher Pokemon back. "... Very well done, Helios. Thank you for your help on this matter. Here's your reward." After a little rummaging, she drew that silverly spoon from another side pocked of bagpack, and carefully handed it to him alongside a half Ranc-Berry-Poffin. "Both for you. I'm sure you'll like the taste of this. That spoon... You can use it if you wish to focus your mind while you're inside the Pokeball and are not sleeping. I value and treasure your Psychic Powers, so we don't want them to wear thin, do we? No... I promised I'll help you to develope them to a greater good. To give it to all this showoffs. ... But for now, return." She withdrew the Abra.

Next, she turned to Ventus. Apsis somehow made it bring mentioned Burn Drive to the shore... A real Burn Drive... Now it was in Ventus' hands...

But... from his somewhat confused and irrated expression... something's wrong about it...? Is he not happy about the finding? He showed himself so eager to get that thing... With a slightly worried expression,  she came closer to look at the Drive by herself. Followed by a simple question. "Ven... Something's... not as you expected it to be?"

Nathan nods, and brings out Swiftfire. "Swiftfire, would you mind carrying Pinsir into the Center? It won't be for long, since we just need to get it inside, and it looks like the bug has been treated rough enough as it is. No burning it, okay?"

(Assuming Swiftfire agrees to carry Pinsir the short distance into the Center)

Nathan, Kirlia, and Swiftfire reenter the building with the KOed Pinsir in tow. "Nurse Joy! Seems there's been a development. My companions apparently encountered that Pinsir trainer while they were in the southern part of the forest. The trainer apparently got away, but they managed to cut him off from his Pinsir and the Pinsirite it was holding."
