Lemme pop in and say this: The more murderous y'all get, the greater the chance that you lose your trainer license. When that happens, you roll up a new character. So if Ventus, for example, can't learn to control his rage, Windos shouldn't get too attached to him.

Blaze
Scratch, Tail Whip, Ember, Howl. And it starts with 16xp, because it can nearly learn Psybeam.
Happiness and Loyalty will be 2 unless you mess that up in the next little while. Disobedience 0.

@Lord Windos, this goes to you then: Don't hurt my character badly by doing something Ven would regret later. Don't destroy the friendship they've build up meanwhile. Hell, she'll probably take care on her own after that run-in with the Officiers that he doesn't engage in anything that could endanger his Trainer's Lisence.

Take a look at Shiva. She can indeed become vile and lost in cold anger, but I highly doubt this will happen during the campaign. And even if, she'll likely has enough of a heart to not outright kill an opponent just because she feels like it. She can control her wrath. Vile Witch, yes, but not ruthless life-threatening Witch.

She's involved in this mess with Pinsir, but luckily not to a dangerous level. Just received a warning and a small fine, which were and are quite a lesson to her.

Another thing, it's doubtful at the moment that she'll show the book concerning Earth Lore to the others. While she silently cottoned on that it could have something to do with The Wizards (that's what I'll call them) upon rummaging through it before doing the calculations for the Mystical Fire-Type, she doesn't see anything bad or vile in the book itself. The Wizards just used the knowledge in it to engage in something bad, if worst comes to worst.

She's also 100% sure that Ventus would hate the book. And might snatch it from her because he thinks it's bad for her, he worries for her, or wishes to protect her from engaging in vile magic (which she won't).

The positive point however, it serves as a source to maybe understand the powers of the Wizards a little better and determine their weakpoints. She might feel safe to show it to Nathan at some point way later as well, if it turns out to be helpful in a situation.

However, now there's the issue of what to do with those stairs...I don't think it's a good idea to investigate them right now.  The smart move is probably informing Chief Lumin immediately.  If you guys go down there without Nathan, you'll be leaving him behind in town again (he has to stay in the area until Princess is healed), and there's no telling what you'll find this time, or if you'll even be able to return.

As gung ho as Ventus probably is to investigate that, he'd be going in there without the group's best fighter.  And if it is a base or secret passage for the Scimitars, the group is going to need all the firepower they can get if we go in.  The scimitars had to dig up half the town to make that, after all.  Whatever they made, it's big, and it runs underneath southern Fireweed Forest, maybe even all the way to Chicory Lake...

At this point, Ventus would rather cut of his own hands than do anything that harms his friend, so don't worry about him turn on the team, my love!

@Iron : I pretty much knew that the moment Lumen started talking to Ventus, my chara (and myself by externsion) was being punished because of my their use of Lethal Damage, and you wanted to make an example of me in the hope that I either don't do it again unless its absolutely critical, or I change up the way I play my chara.

Things is, all this event is going to do is make Ventus far more paranoid about those wizards, and definitely make him want to make sure that if he attacks an enemy, they don't go back and tattle on him. Worst comes to worst, and Ventus has an actual chance of losing his license because he was not careful in the future, and I'll have him self destruct magnificently before the fuzz can try anything with him. If anything, you are teaching Ven what not to do when it comes to Lethal Damage (Namely, announce said use of it out loud, instead of in secret), and how to look up any Police Officer in game with contempt and scorn first unless he confirms that they aren't sketchy/in his pocket.

I quite like my chara, but I have a couple of back up ones in my head just in case Ven gets murked, either by chance or DM fiat, so if he gets stoned, I have reserves. For better or worse, Ven is more or less going to remain as I developed him, just becoming very careful and particular with his action in front of others. That, or make sure that when he gets murderous, its going to happen when he has done a thorough search of the area first (for spys) and has a firm grip on said bad guy, before murking them in a way that's impossible to trace back to him.

It's completely Ventus' choice what to do now about the stairs. I just happened to run into him just as he discovered them. But if we go in there... She might bring up Nathan towards him... Like, she wouldn't enjoy leaving him behind, regardless of what has happened between them - Shiva is innocent of the issue that occured between those two while she was off to get an elusive fox.

But good point about firepower... Made of metal... I might want to withdraw Fennekin before we'll go down there.

Fair enough. I actually like him how he is, but it's good to see that this whole thing was a lesson to him. You going to pay the fine then and let it be or await Corsage to fight against it? Shiva will most likely just pay the 500$, have it be a needless lesson to her to keep in mind, and never talk about it ever again.

Ohhhh! Sounds good. Very good. @Lord Windos, if you agree to talk with Valder, would you mind if I join in on the conversation as soon as I finished the Fennekin-Encounter? Shiva's pretty interested in the Scimitars as well, for more than one reason.

Left an in for you to have overheard the entire conversation, so your character knows as much as mine does now. Given that I flashfowarded past it, its possible for you to still contribute to the conversastin; Ventus just won't notice you until he leaves for the Center.

@PhantomUnderYourDesk He's going to court and see if he can't remove the mark against him + the fine, as he doesn't want to be weighted down by that unless absolutely necessary. He said he would handle his own mess, so he will!
