The whole time, Shiva did not do anything else than listen. Taking good care not to miss any of the words spoken, while making up her mind of all this, and making sure not to interfere anyone.For a complete outsider, it may seem like she doesn't care about all this, but the truth was that she cares more than anything. The case here was interesting in many different ways.

A whole ton of thoughts flooded her... Mixed up with several emotions... But she did very well not to let either of them overtake her and cause any distress to Ven in case he might pick them up.

So... Genesect was real... The Myths were true...
A hidden facility in Lacunosa Town... The people there were 'afraid of a monster that comes at night'...
He reached Genesect just by a hug...
The CO didn't agree with this though...
He lost a dear friend of his by that...

Despite all  the precious information, she managed to react relatively calm on the outside. The fact that she already had some sort of breakdown as Ven told her about Genesect after Apsis brought up the Burn Drive from the pond surely played a role in this. Still she could not help but to feel for Ven. Strongly. This whole thing must weight him down strongly... Oh. Indeed, it does.

Therefor, as soon as the thought of informing Officier Lumin on this and then leave Town, she managed to keep voice neutral in tone. There still was a huge amount of appreciation in it.

"Ven... Listen... Would you lend that book to me over night? ... I'd like to read through the whole thing by myself. Learning about the powers of Genesect from it. The only information I have about it come from old writings and are nothing but myths compared to it. But... You saw it's powers first-hand..."

He did not respond to Shiva's question for a minutes, silently staring at the young lass at her bold, bold question. Ventus eyebrows knitted together, and he took another deep breath of his fuming incense, before he answered her. "...I'll let you have it for the night on one condition: I have to be in the same room as you are while you read it. The secrets in those pages...I can't afford to let them seen at all cost. Because of this, that book must be within my presence at all cost. Do we have an accord, Shiva?" the researcher replied, letting out another stream of off-whitish smoke as he spoke to Shiva. Project Silverfish....the information pertaining to it is literally worth his life, so he must ensure that nothing amiss happens to it. Not on his watch...

She also did not mind the scent of Lavender that filled the room, coming from the incense Ven was...smoking. Instead, she rather enjoyed the smell. She didn't even one one could smoke these things... Does this increase their effect? Probably... But doubtful that such use of these was healthy... But now she knows where that faint scent of Lavender she one noticed on Ventus came from.

Still she was fine to just burn incense sticks from time to time. Mostly sandalwood and jasmine and, if she could get her hands on those, Gradicea flowers. Either while studying or doing calculations similar like those that brought her to encounter a Fennekin. Everytime with the windows of her room open to welcome the fresh air and positive energys. Castela was quite a busy city, so having a relieable source of energy is more than important in such case. Spectral seemed to enjoy this as well, since the small Eevee often came to sleep in her room whenever she burned them.

He didn't understand why she would be so abash at his request; nervousness, he could have guessed, due to the nature of the knowledge, but embrassement? Huh....

When Valder spoke up to him, the empathetic researcher immedianlty picked up his confusion, inattention, and faint chastisement, and deadpans at him, before letting out another puff of smoke in a sigh. "Valder, if you have an hard time comprehending what I said, I'll give you the cliffnotes : I got hired to work on a secret project concering Genesect, became its best friend as a part of my job, got fired for getting to close to Genesect, and now I have to start tracking down where Genesect could be in Cheshire, if its even here to began with. Understand?"

Kirlia picks up on Valder's inattention too.  Nathan isn't surprised, really...he figured the mercenary was probably trustworthy though, since he had offered new info on the Scimitars freely earlier...yeah, if Ventus was going to trust the mercenary with this secret, Nathan could probably enlighten him on the gravity of the situation...

"Just for context, I'll tell you that Genesect is an artificial pokemon. One of only three.  The porygon line, I'm fairly certain you might be familiar with, and I have a Porygon I can show you if you aren't.  The other two...were designed to be the 'ultimate' pokemon, and were made in secret.  Nigh unstoppable and highly illegal forces.

"If that group that built that statue of it is indeed the Scimitars, and if they do indeed have Genesect in captivity...I think you can agree that's probably a bad thing."

If Ventus was confused about Shiva's emotional state before, he was completely perplexed by how mixed up she currently was now. Before, he picked up faint emotion, but now there seemed to be two streams of feeling flowing through her: one of nervous embrassment, and another of worried admonishment. 'What is in Tao Trio is going on with her emotional state?' Ven though, affixing he incense that was in his mouth into a carved inlet in the tall black box, before reaching with one arm and putting a hand on her shoulder and staring deeply into her eyes.

"Shiva, are you quite alright? I know that I can be an intimidating individual, but I don't believe I have ever gave a lady pause for concern with my bedside manner. You have nothing to fear from me, my friend, so please calm down. I would not mind if you stayed in my room tonight; you can have my bed if you want. After todays tumulchtous event, resting will be a futile effort on my part without extensive meditations," Ven respond, looking worriedly at the young lass, before turning his head and letting out one last puff of smoke.

"Yech, excuse me...I don't mind if you feed your Pokémon in my room. I'd be interest in how you interact with you Pokémon, as I have not seen too much besides you regular treatment of Cottenee and the mice, but if you prefer more privacy with you friends, I will not bother you about this," Ven said, turning back to face her with concern readily apparent in his face. Shiva's behavior was beginning to be a great cause for concern....
