Ventus gets up from off the ground, and dusts of his pants, before assessing the battle situation. Given how hard that Ronin was floundering against Ariel, he would say it was going poorly...for the Spearow, that is. "Ariel, keep up your assault on Spearow until its knocked out. I want those Sticks, for I know that they are a delicacy in many culinary institutions around the world..."
Order: Ariel is going to continue drenching that Spearow until its knocked out, upon which Ventus will grab the sticks and leave the bold bird behind bereft of baggage. Then, I want to see if Lucifer got lucky with finding anything from his search, before I decide what I encounter I want next!
Like the wind, I come and go as I please... but I am always there to provide a comforting breeze.

How splendid! Thunder Wave was an instant hit.

Minun has impaired the foe for you, so please show your best and use Water Gun. No brutal force though, play it smart and just weaken your foe!"
Orders for this round: Water Gun. Until a -1 Pain penalization is inflicted on Comite, holding back if the attack inflicts more! Again, if this action fails this round, do it again in the next round until it succeeds.
Effect: Slight damage. Weakening for the catch.
Secondary Effect: Azurill seems to have had a valued partner in her past. I try to catch up on that feeling.
Accuracy Roll: 2 Dexterity + 1 Fight + 2 Channel = 5 D6dice
Damage Roll: 2 Strenght + 2 Power of move = 4 D6dice + 1 Autodamage due to super-effective
Additional notes: No Will Points here, the 'use your best' is just to encourage Azurill.
So... How many dice consists Comite's Will Roll now with -1 due to paralyzis and -1 due to Pain Penalization? According to the map we're still in Fireweed Forest, so the rule -1 Will due to being a friendly non-Bug Type is still real? Asking because this will determine my action in the following Round - attack again or attempt a catch right away.

Yes, this will be the last encounter set where the -1 Will for bugs is in play. So in total Comite has -3 Will. His catch rate isn't too crazy either, so he should be pretty easy to catch at -1 pain.

Clearly trying to give the blue mouse the feeling that her actions were all right and fulfilled. "You'll never evolve if you don't take my appreciation to you to heart... There, please take a look! Your opponent is weakened, just as I wished, and your battle partner - Minun here - is all glad as well..."
Now... Free Pokeball... A little hard to draw one from bagpack's side pocket if one arm has to hold Azurill close... ... ... Ah, there is one! Found.
