Yay, Joltik's ability is Compound Eyes!  We're going to be having some fun with that!  (and not just if and when we find a TM for Thunder)

Fury Cutter and Electro Web are going to basically have +1 accuracy instead of -1 now  This is gonna be fun.

Well don't that beat all! And congrats for making the 3000th post in the Meta Thread! And yeah, Compound Eyes really is a wonderful ability! Fear me, for I have mostly accuracte Thunders, and can spam Fury Cutter like no tomarrow! Mwhahahaha!

And don't forget that Electro Web is also a spread move.  It lowers ALL the opponents' Dex stats.

Here's another fun combo: Agility + Thunder Wave + Electro Ball.  Sticky Web and Electro Web are good for that too.  And String Shot if the opponent is a ground type.

This bug is going to be a BEAST.

Oh, and it also learns Screech. For 7 exp.

(...) After all, Ven is a strong believer of catering to a Pokémon's nature/personality when ever possible, so he might not like it if Nathan outright denies Joltik evo from eating other wild bugs/small mammals! Hopefully if the issue is brought up, they can resolve it peacefully...

If the spider dares coming too close to her or her beloved Electric rodents, she still has Fennekin to show the spider that such behavious is not appreciated~

Joltick use Electro Web, Sticky Web, Agility, and Screech in conjection, tanking and/dodging all possible Fire attacks! Joltick uses Electro Ball! If brutally effective! Fennekin faints! Joltik then goes over and wraps them in silk, saving them for a meal latter down the line.... We might just have one of the most broken 'mons imaginable, if it gets all its buffs and debuff out!

....Well, I do hope what Ventus has just reveled doesn't drive TOO big of a wedge between them and your chara. Nathan is fully aware of Ventus' Dawinain/Survivalist stance when it comes to wild Pokémon battles, but will Shiva be as understanding and accepting?

Windos, I'm suprised you told her that the Spearow's bad condition is Ventus' call. Praise his honesty towards her.

I don't think Sticky Web and Electro Web stack, unfortunately.  Iron's call on that in the end, though.  I think they DO stack with Paralysis, but again, Iron's call.

But yeah, Electro Ball has a max of 6 Power if used against a pokemon that has 4 less Dex than the user.  That's going to be brutal. Particularly if the opponent has -2 Defense from Screech.

Too late, Joltik has already ensnared you little fox, and is about ready to inject its venom in them to liquidize their internal organs! Better act fast, or all that will be left of Fenniken is a mummified corpse!


I was debating whether or not for him to tell her, but I decided that he should be willing to, if reserved about his feeling on the matter. Remember, Shiva has always been open and understanding of him since Day One, so the bond between them is very strong. He's not liable to start keeping secrets from her if at all possible, given said bond and the fondness he has developed for her. Doesn't mean he'll change his ways or become any less unstable/secretly murderous to accommodate her views (For now, anyway), but he's willing return all the kindness given to him by just being as open/understanding/caring as Shiva has been for him. At least for now....

It's probably more like stunning electricity than venom, since the elespiders are known for crippling foes with their electricity laced webs.  Same general effect in the end as paralyzing venom.

Though Joltik can learn Poison Sting for ?.  Hmmm....the line can also learn Cross Poison for ?. Go egg moves, I guess.

EDIT: Yeah, Galvantula's dex entries specifically say it consumes its prey while they're left stunned from the electrically charged webs. Fun.
