Omanyte hangs onto Goldeen with a single tentacle. His eyes emerge, and he fires a jet of water at Ariel.

On his native ground, Omanyte lines up and blasts Corsola directly in the eyes. This attack is more effective underwater, where fuel for the water gun is plentiful.

Octillery was told to obey Ventus, but has to consider this for a moment.

Octillery snakes a tentacle down into the tank, and snags Goldeen from Omanyte. He Bubbles the Goldeen and runs off with it toward safety. He waves his free tentacles in victory!

Corsola is simply a better fighter than Omanyte, somewhat negating the home field advantage!

Nathan receives attention from Noibat while he's conversing with Porygon and sipping his drink. As Nathan enters the main hallway, he almost bumps into a proud Octillery holding a peaceful Goldeen! They are tracking water everywhere. Nathan has to pick his way slowly across the floor.

Omanyte Round 2

Raising an eyebrow at Octillery's tactics, Ventus couldn't exactly find it within himself to be angry at them. 'They didn't quite assist Ariel in combat, but they did ensure the safety of Goldeen in linu of that. Its also not my own Pokémon to begin with, so I can't expect complete obedience from them as well,' he though, watching the octopus make a speedy get away towards Nathan's direct, before turning his attension back to the fight at hand.

Ariel, who was looking worse for wear for that over pressurized Water Gun burst, tried to muster off one last Bubble before it the shellfish literally blasted it out of the water! She was not going let it bully her around; she'll show it who's the toughest rock in the sea! The researcher, however, was of a different mindset, and was already fingering Apsis Pokeball, ready to throw it in and let his massive snake sink its fangs into it. 'Ariel won't appreciate the assistance, least of all from my Arbok, but I'm not going to let that Omanyte make a meal out of her instead of its previous capture!'

Order: Ariel is going to try and fire of one last Bubble at the living fossil, before retreating to the Milotic's side to wake them up. Also, they had an Oran Berry equipped, so they should have started to eat it once they took some damage against them! If they are KOed in the process, Ven's going to send in Apsis to swim in and use Thunder Fang to finish of the Omanyte, before having her retrieve Corosla for Ventus to re-ball! I wish Nathan was much closer than he is...

While you're shopping, Geodude and Rattata wander in! Rattata goes sniffing after your Pirsif cookie material. Geodude separates from the rat to check out the store's foundations, and grunts in approval.

"300$ is all fine. Thanks a bunch!" ... "Elanor, you say - you heard that, Cottonee?~ We just have to pay this place a visit. We just have to do so. Thanks for that precious information as well, and good night then." She bowed to the cashier before she turned to leave the shop.

Seaglass shards... Hmm, she must have noticed that duskglass shard she was wearing as a talisman. But such an item sounds perfect for an Eevee - which Shiva does not own :C - and Azu, given that she'll become a Water Type upon further evolving. Maybe it'll even help on her evolve... My, my, the blue mouse is surely receiving quite an attention from her owner currently. But that's all great, actually! First, because she's a Fairy Type that might need extra attention from time to time, and second, Shiva wishes to see her Azurill smile again... And more often.

Just as she was about to leave the shop though, she couldn't, because Geodude and Rattata almost ran into her! Oh, she remembers those. Still alive and around as ever. She croached down to pet the rat all carefully, before offering it one of the cookies from the older package she still had. "Still around, you two, huh? How droll~ You're safe at night, though? The Pokemon Center might be a more secure place to spend the night than outside. I was heading there anyway, so feel all free to come along!" ... "Oh, the others are at the Aquarium, if you two were looking for them."

Rattata rushes off towards the aquarium and lets itself in through a crack in one wall. It arrives just as the battle with Omanyte begins, and observes quietly.

'That's...odd...what's an Octillery doing with one of the goldeen?'

Nathan looks to where Ventus is...and sees him looking at...an Omanyte?!  Nathan looks up, and sees a very angry looking Corsola as well, staring the helix pokemon down...

He's puzzled, but his order's are sure.  They could deal with Octillery in a moment.  Kirlia, use as many Confusions as you can on Omanyte until it faints.  It can't attack us while it's behind that glass, but Confusion should go right through it."

Just as he though that he might have to send in Apsis for support, Nathan and Kirlia quickly come and sort the shellfish out with a spot on Confusion! Letting out a sigh of relief, Ventus turned around to face the pair. Lucifer quickly swoop down and landed on the researcher shoulder, letting out a tired, yet happy chirp. Now that the fish eater had been taken care of, he can finally get a little rest himself! "Haaaa....thank you, my friend. Ariel's battle with that Omanyte was starting to take a U-turn for the worse, so Kirlia timely intervention is truly appreciated. At the very least, it save her a trip to the Pokémon Center, and prevent it from having a coral snack itself!" Ven said, giving a wane smile to the boy.

Noticing the glances Nathan was giving the Octillery, the researcher tried to assuage him of any doubt about it. "While it appears that Octillery is trying to make off with that Goldeen, it actually rescued it from the fossil's Pokémon grasp. I'm sure they'll return it to captivity, now that the threat has been subdued. Speaking of which, what shall we do about it? I personally want to capture it myself, but I'm not sure if its a part of the exhibit or not, so I'm hesistant to act on that impulse," Ventus said, rubbing his chin as he looked at the KOed crustacean. Since the Aquarium owner never mentioned having any fossil Pokémon, just how did it end up here in the first place? Mystery upon mystery indeed...

Order: Recall Ariel to her Pokeball (Eventually), and decide who will capture the fainted Omanyte (or at least temporarily own it). After that, its time for a quick Coffee break, and informing the staff what just has been munching on the fish in the first place, and see what they want to do with the fossil Pokémon. Ven will also offer to spit the money on the job 50/50 with Nathan, giving them $325 Pokedollars each for a night's hard work!

Shiva could not help but to chuckle slightly over the Rattata's quick leave, clearly eager to see the others at the Aquarium. Maybe the have more traits to snatch, after all!

She herself gathered up her purchases and Cottonee and finally left the shop. The air felt fresh and a little salty upon stepping out, it became rather dark meanwhile. Better make a little haste to the safe and not-gloomy Pokemon Center... As she arrived there, first things she does was placing her things in the dorm she occupied, and check on the black-spotted egg she hid there. She left it for the day at this place because she feared somehow to effect it negatively while running around in Corsage... Plus, she hadn't Fennekin with her currently anyway.

Next, she headed down for late dinner at the Pokemon Center. Alone, just with Cottonee by her side. (Hopefully none will call her a witch du to her appearance there like Ventus did, and begin to blame her for the insomnia! D: )

Once that has been done, she headed back upstairs and closed + locked the dorm door behind her. She won't leave until next morning anyway. Next thing to do was serving her Pokemon dinner as well - so she called all of them out of their Pokeballs (even Ronin Spearow) and slid the usual orchid-patterned ceramic plate filled with Dry Food and a few of the cookies she just bought over to them. "Eat up, dear ones. Savour the energy and pleasure that comes by a good meal, there is much more if you wish. I'll be in bath for a while, but it shouldn't take too long. Just showering and stuff." This town was sapping her free will, Shiva feel she was somewhat weaker than yesterday night... Maybe cold water will bring her mind on a different trail and raise her spirits.

It actually brught back memories of the Spa in the Treehouse Resort in Fireweed Forest just before Wineberry Town... Oh, even if she was able to spend only one evening and night there, it was overall energizing. Too bad it was so far away currently. (I remember the Spa brought me +1 Will Point, so there's that!)

Once that has been done - and filling up food for her Pokemon - she was finally ready to let the day end. Well, mostly. While enjoying a cup of the tea that came along with every dorm here - seemingly they brought a new can with freshly brewed tea every evening - she took a look at the Dark Glasses Ven has given her to repair. Good thing he gave the materials needed for that as well, otherwise she might have a problem. But with the materials, it didn't take much effort to put them back together. (Iron, you said I don't need a Roll to fix the Glasses, after all.) ... Just out of curiosity, she also tried them on - and immediately put them away, 1. because she could literally feel the dark energy they're somewhat fillled with and 2. because they didn't came with any eyesight at all. They were just regular dark glasses.

Once thaaat has finally been done as well (whatelse is ther to come?!), Shiva packed the items away, and brought out that package of salt she bought... Now it will become useful. First, she threw a handful of the while stuff onto her Dream catcher hanging at the upper frame of the window, for purification. Next, she sprinkled a little salt over the tuft of black fur, just in case the 'creature' might decide to see the fur as guidance to her dorm. Shiva has been wearing as a necklace hidden under her clothes for the whole day, luckily without any bad effects... At last, she drew a whole circle of salt around her bed and told her Pokemon that if they wish to stay outside their Pokeballs for this night, they shall please sleep over alongside her in bed within this circle. None of her companions might fully understand why, but especially Cottonee and Plusle/Minun, her closest and most loyal Pokemon, gladly acccepted the comfort of a fluffy bed.

With that done, she killed off the lights and layed down for sleep. If the vicious creature was out to get her and hunt her dreams, it might have a hard time to do so now...
