[Meta thread] Iron's PokeRole Adventure: The Skull Ruins
You know, I was expecting Ariel to get the training roll in that session, given that the dojo is tailored for Water types, but Michael's fighting spirit and determination to become a master martial artist must have seized @Iron's heart, so he had no choice but honoring it with a training roll! This is the mushroom the will sprout beyond the heavens....!

Silliness aside, Michael currently need 17 more XP to learn Spore, and that's going to be a good four or five training session or battle from now at the rate he's going at! Since I don't have a Miracle Seed or any Grassy items that I can use to boost his training rolls, its going to be slow going on that front! I'm not going to give up until it fire sleeping agents at will, but any ideas on how to obtain the move faster would be great, guys!

Wow. I just noticed Grid got every single number possible in that training roll. Inspiring (for a completely different reason) much? Would have been cooler if they'd been in numerical order, but oh well. shrugs

Battling more and holding a TON of training sessions are about the only way you're going to get there, probably :/

That's a fairly ambitious move choice for the first move he learns, but man, it's going to be awesome when he learns it.  Can't fault ya for going for that move first since Breloom can't learn it directly.

Huh, now that you say that, you are right! If I were DM, I'd give a bonus XP to it just because of the odds of it all, but then again, 3 XP for a session is pretty decent in its own right!

Considering the pool was 6 dice though, 3 is average :/  Mathematically speaking, anyways.

In fact, the roll doesn't get any more average than one of every single number Tongue That's the expected end value after an infinite amount of rolls, after all.

I decided early on that Michael would learn Spore, even if it took half the game to do so! Upon learning it, I figured he'd would be either evolve straight afterwards, or fairly soonish. Since Breloom gets Stun Spore, Leech Seed, and Tackle as 0 XP moves, it would immedianlty get some more option available to it, become the second reliable Status user in my party, and be the MASTER of draining HP! Add in a Toxic Orb for another 1 HP per turn, and Mach Punch on the occasion where it moves second or last, and that would be all the moves it would need to keep himself fairly stable. Focus Punch and/or Thunder Punch would be lovely as well, but I've accept that its going to be pretty unlikely I'll learn those move bar winning the lottery!

Unfortunately, without a tutor or TM, Giga Drain is ALSO only learned by Shroomish (and costs another 37 exp to learn on top of that).  And Drain Punch is TM/tutor/egg move only as well for almost every pokemon that learns it :/  Only 3 pokemon lines learn that move through leveling.  Leech Seed is still pretty nice though, I guess. And Mega Drain is certainly better than Absorb.

I think the intent might have been that only Abilities stack, out of everything that modifies stats. Even items and moves don't stack. We'll go with that, because it's pretty easy to remember.

Edit: Multiple abilities stacking? http://pokemonuranium.co/forum/showthrea...2#pid21642

Now then, mechanical question, @Iron: does Paralysis's Dexterity drop effect stack with a normal stat reduction from a move like String Shot or Electroweb (assuming the Paralysis doesn't bring their Dex down to 1 already, of course)?

I'm proud of Azu. <3

You allowed me to stack Plus/Minus-ability to stack with Nasty Plot, remember?

Oh, you wish to battle me? She won't deny, but you'd have to convince her of a friendly battle first.
