[Meta thread] Iron's PokeRole Adventure: The Skull Ruins
Didn't expect him to just ignore you and go straight after the Rattatta, eh? Ventus prime directive is finding and quickly slaying that rodent before Nathan can stop him, and he has both Apsis and his other Pokémon to hold them up as long as possible! Hehehehe....

You're not the only one with a trick up your sleeve, you know...you can't outrun Nathan since he has Swiftfire.  And there's some other things to consider...

Glare + Bind on Swiftfire = Nope on that front.

Nathan's got a plan, though.  You'll see Wink

Good thing Grid has a trapping move and can't be paralyzed due to his typing, and Kirlia has a Will backed Teleport. Wink

Time for a battle, then! First round begins after all that resolves and Phantom decides if she'll join in. Then we'll be using PMs for the remainder of it.

....Dragonstrike, are your insane?! Teleporting Apsis into the middle of a populated area like that will cause her to go BALLISTIC without her trainer nearby, and possibly get her killed by the RU! If that happen....

I know. But it's a risk Nathan HAS to take if he's to stand any chance of succeeding at this. And it kills two birds with one stone if Kirlia can't get back immediately.

Remember what he's just been through. Nathan's not thinking entirely straight right now, though he's still got some semblance of logic to rely on.

I'll be up front: If Apsis is put down by the RU because of your decision, I'm quiting the game, straight up. If it was against an enemy or DM Event that had some plausible justification for it, I would let my Arbok's death slide, but you are deliberately screwing me over in this way, mate. Ventus will also hold a grudge against Nathan if Apsis gets hurt/killed over this, and he make it his goal to 'get even' with you. Do you really want to do this? Because once you commit to this, there is no turning back in this case.

This has basically been all we've discussed for the entire day. And I've had to put a lot of thought into how Nathan was going to react when Ventus announced his intent.

Nathan just turned down the chance to kill that Rattata himself. To just let Ventus do it anyways is going to go against everything he and Shiva just went through. And he stands a reasonable chance at stopping it, so he's going to hold nothing back as he tries just that.

But only if Aspis is removed from the battle first. And the only safe place to move Kirlia to is a town because of his injuries. It's a calculated risk. Yes, there's a chance Aspis or Kirlia could be left in a critical condition as a result. Aspis because of the law enforcement, Kirlia because he's already taken 3 Lethal Damage and could faint and take more due to Aspis KOing him before the law enforcement arrives. Hopefully, nothing ill results from this. Unfortunately, it might be difficult to get Aspis back later, but...if anyone gets a black mark for their actions, it'll probably be Nathan for the endangerment of the public through reckless action.

Unfortunately, we're playing two rather bull headed characters that both have reasonable justification for their actions, and this is the result. When wills clash, conflict arises. And it's never pretty. I'm not enjoying this any more than you are, I can assure you. Unless we want to retcon Ventus's decision to bolt and everything after it, there's not any easy way to avoid this. Well, unless Ventus can somehow lose Nathan.
