[Game thread] Skull Ruins Pokerole
And this at the morning of Day 15.

How pleasant to wake up... Yes, this was a weird wording, but it quite perfectly describes Shiva's feelings at this point. After that hassle with a Rattata as well as all that sleep issues in Corsage, it was overly refreshing to receive some hours of proper rest. A little more like this, and she'll feel like her old self again, that one without insomnia and a subliminal gloom mood.

That's also the reason why she decided to run around in the usual clothes again than dressing all black and goth-like. Still felt nice to increase her natural grace a little more by that, though!

However, she also picked up that she was the very first person to wake up. A little unusual. She awaited outside the tent for the others to awake and step out into the morning sun again, before expressing that she'll head to the riverside then. To restock on fresh water again, Azurill cannot provide it completely yet, her Water Gun was yet too weak. If she evolved, she'll likely can...

Still, she was in a good mood currently as she assured that she'll be back soon enough and will NOT search for the Rattata in secret.

Mechanics:
Bring up the Zangoose, please! I'll knock it out with Cottonee and Azurill, after both failed on battling properly against Rattata.

When the girl suddenly started shaking his hand, he became a bit flustered inside. 'This means she wishes to welcome me, right?' he thought to himself. He took a small step back and replied, "Sorry, I went to the forest for training, I told the center woman, but I guess I shouldn't leave the group like that. Sorry, I'm not fired am I? Is that what you want to discuss?"
Valder hoped that the handshake meant only good intentions, but he was unsure of what this girl wanted... in general too.

Next day

Waking up form his half-sleep, Valder tilted his head upwards and started crawling up.

Seeing that nothing was happening he decided to go on a moring trip, away from the others. He sent out Froakie and wandered off, but not too far away.

(I'll take that item if you don't mind)

Seeing that he reacted negatively - did she accidently invaded his personal space? Oh hell, sorry for that! - Shiva quickly let go of his hand.

"Nope, it's alright. Seeing that you're fine and safe is more important." He's a grown man, he can do what he wants and take care of himself, after all. "In fact, I simply did not know that Ven allowed you to roam free in Corsage, that's why I was a little...worried for you." ... "Also, why should Ven fire you? I don't think there's a reason to do so... He himself has the last word on this, though."

"The thing I wished to discuss... See, I found something there on Route 3. In fact, it's a Pokemon. A special Spearow. A Spearow that seems to know how to use weapons, like Sticks and stuff. I found it unconsciousness and...couldn't just leave it there. Therefor, I took it with me and had it healed up in Corsage's Pokemon Center. However, I, eh, don't think I could be a good Master for it... Thought about what to do with this bird, and came to conclusion that YOU could like such a fierely battle, given it reminds me on Martial Arts and its ninja-like attitude."

She takes a while to fish the ball containing Spearow out from somewhere, before taking a look at it, before facing Valder with a hopeful expression. "So... Will you take it? It's a gift, you could have it for free from me if you promise to take good care of it. Just need a free Pokeball because this is just a temporary ball."

Valder is exploring the campsite area, catching his knowledge up to the rest of the group, when he spies some herbs he recognizes. He knows just how to mix these up into a Heal Powder (a bitter herbal Full Heal).

A 10kg heavy burden left Valder as she said that things were fine from her perspective, at least it should be if a social talker like her says it. Err, he thought so at least.

Then, when she continued, half of that burden seemed to crawl back. 'A pokemon? That I have to take care of? Is this what you call a comercial?' Valder pondered a bit on what answer would satisfy the girl.
He realised that what she was actually saying, might be, 'this is part of your job, take care of it', but wouldn't the other boy,
Vento- no, his name was Ventus, be the one to give him that order?

"Err, is- is this part of the job? I mean, no offense, but I don't think that spearow will find a good home in me. Sorry, is this important?"
Valder realised he was probably digging himself a hole right now, he didn't know how to react at all. He didn't especially want the spearow, it seemed weird to him that he would take care of this bird, the ninja part seemed like more of a concern than a good thing to him.

Valder looked over at Froakie, looked back and tried to look appologetic. He was honestly getting quite err-y.

Whoah there. First a huge Rattata, then a Zangoose... They must have entered a part of the forest they have not passed on the way to Corsage.

It just stared at Shiva there, ready to tangle. Or do anything at all. However, it did not come closer, at least for now.

Bringing Azurill and Cottonee closer to her - she decided her Fairies shall get a chance of a walk in the morning sun as well - she backed a little away from that Zangoose. She displayed calmness, and did whatever possible to not let any fear show on the outside.

"Greetings, Zangoose. I didn't expect your kind living here in a forest, don't you usually dwell in grassy landscapes? Anyway...I don't have any Seviper with me. I'm sorry that I seemingly invaded your territory and put you in anger. I'll leave right away if you'd like, please don't do anything to me." The claws of a Zangoose are not funny. Not at all, and Shiva knew this.

"However...I see that you are a fighter. Always fighting for your territory, against Seviper, and for food. So, how about it? A little training in the morning? Fight two of my Pokemon? I'd be down with that." Not leaving the Zangoose out of sight, she fished out that orchid-patterend plat from bagpack and filled it with Dry Food and added the Chesto and Rawst Berry she currently had, before slidding the plate closer to Zangoose. If she'd have any Poffins, she'd also add those. All in slow and carefull movements, not to accidently scare the wild Pokemon and trigger an attack from it.

"All I am asking you is to not fight dirty. Keep your senses. Keep control of your precious claws. I won't battle you to unconsciousness, and I will not attempt to catch you either. All we two have is a fair battle for training reasons for both of us, then we part ways in peace."

"And YES, you can have all that food on this plate from me if you agree."

----------------
Mechanics:
I want to battle that Zangoose. I really do. But I don't want to risk suffering any lethal damage from moves it might have, so I wish my words and the offered food will convince it to hold back so lethal moves do normal damage instead. If Zangoose agrees, I'll jump in and give orders to my Pokemon. If Zangoose refuses, I might just collect my things, leave the food there anyway and run. Does fleeing from a wild Pokemon come with a roll to check its success?

Most wild Pokemon will let you flee, unless they're angry. It's also easier to flee than to pursue, because you can throw stuff in their way and guard your flank with moves.

Shiva's Insight, + Knowledge of Zangoose habits:
(4)(6)(4)(3)(6)(2)

Zangoose's Will:
(6)(1)(3)(2)(4)(4)(1)

Zangoose retracts his claws, catlike! Looks like he agrees with your demands!

Ventus had given Kirlia's arm a good look over. Made a few adjustments to straps and bandages, applied something to the hurt areas...Kirlia was going to be fine. The wound would fully heal in time. His arm would remain in the sling for a bit just in case, but the wounds were treated quickly enough to prevent permanent damage. Any marks left over would eventually fade.

Nathan can't help but hug Kirlia (again, carefully) in just pure relief. They'd made it out okay after all. He wasn't thinking about anything else. Not Absol, not Rattata, not Corsage...especially not the eventual next time one of his pokemon might take lethal damage...

For now, it was time to rest. Everyone was tired in one way or another. When Nathan goes to meditate with Kirlia, Ventus asks if he can join.

Nathan wasn't expecting him to try and get Aspis to join them too, though...the results were...mixed...Nathan wasn't so sure she entirely understood the point of the exercise...

(Only one exp away from Calm Mind now after that training session. So close...)

Seeing that Valder struggled to decide, she lowered the hand with the temporary ball she was offering. Not in disappointment, but rather in hope to ease things a little, since she picked up that he was feeling...uneasy
.
"No, this is not part of your job. It's as I said, I just found this Spearow on the way, took it with me because I found it wrong to leave it there fainted and decided to give it away because I would not be proper Master to it, but thought that you could be."

"It's all your decision, I'd gift that Spearow to you for free without any ulterior motives, and of course you can ask Ventus for permission of accepting Spearow first. I'll keep it with me for a little while if you change your mind, but I'll trade it away in the next town if you stay by that decision."
