[Game thread] Skull Ruins Pokerole
Nathan's training hard throughout most of the day. Last night had been uneventful for the most part, and he doesn't see anything that would indicate Absol is around during the training the next day...Staryu was putting in some good work though, and the Combee had been busy gathering honey together. He's getting ready to wind down for the day after all that. Relax. Spend some time with his pokemon. He has enough honey for everyone in his party now, so it was looking like it was going to be rather enjoyable...

(Before I get to the details of that third encounter slot for the day though, let's see what Ventus, Shiva, and maybe Valder have been doing with their time)

After spending the better part of 16 hours recovering from his awful case of sleep deprivation, Ventus finally woke up with a quiet yawn. He didn't have any strange dreams (or any at all, for that matter), and he felt better than when he first entered Corsage, but he still felt the lingering effect of the place's miasmic atmosphere.

'I imagine that a couple days rest would do the trick in restoring my spirits completely, but its now apparent that I need more respite if I am to make a full recovery from the blighted effects of Corsage. I've slept enough for now, though; anymore and I'm liable to suffer from sleep drunkness. Best I get up and be productive with daylight I've been given, least I squander it all away,' Ventus though, dragging himself off his sleeping mat and began stretching, with bones and joint audibly popping from their prolong lack of movement. Finishing the rest of his morning ritual, he existed the tent and looked around, seeing that the others haven't gotten up yet. Considering that the sun was just starting to rise and his prolongest Rest, though, and it made much more since.

Apsis, detecting motion from her master's side of the tent and waking up herself, slithered out to bask in the morning sun beside him, giving a sleepy look at her master. Letting her have free reign to explore was wonderful, but she still preferred being around him whenever possible! He gave the best belly rubs and head scratches, and she enjoyed all of their hunting outing to date! Smiling and giving his snake a hug, he released Michael with a flick of the wrist, revealing the mushroom in a flash of light. He looked around the clearing, spotted the giant sunbathing Arbok, and quickly hopped over to his master's. They may be a tough fighting shroom, but provoking his master's queenly constrictor was pure madness!

Shaking his head at Michael skittish behavior, he patted his lap, signaling them to hop up into it while they spoke to them. "My brother, their is no need to be so guarded around Apsis. She's your sister, and would never harm you unless you did something foolish like intensionally provoking her wrath, so do not worry. Now, it has been remiss of me up until now, but I haven't taught you the proper rituals to hone your mind for combat. A serene and ordered mind is critical when the midst of heated combat, so why don't you practice meditation with me and Apsis this morning? If nothing else, its worth enjoying the morning with us, so how about it?"

Order: Training Session with Michael and Apsis with meditation rituals to hone the mind, before sitting around camp for Shiva to wake up. He'll want to speak with her for obvious reason, but also so that he may inquire for a battle. He wants to train his Shroomish to become a capable fighter, so he needs all the practice he gets!
EDIT: Or for Nathan to come around, if he wants to chat with Ventus while he spends time waiting for Shiva! Hear that, @Dragonstrike ?

Michael turns out to be great at maintaining his concentration. After all, it is his fondest dream to hone his ki to the point where he can punch the very sky.

1XP to both Pokemon.

(sounds like Michael REALLY wants to learn Sky Uppercut)

Quick Flashback Then!

Nope, nothing. No Absol. What could that premonition have meant, if Absol hadn't shown up the same day it happened? Before Nathan went to sleep last night, that was his immediate thought. He'd have to be watchful until Absol revealed itself...IF it revealed itself...all this time spent in the wilderness was starting to hone his instincts though, so he figured he could keep an eye out well enough...(Leveling Survival to 2 for 8 exp!)

The next morning, the first thing he did was check on Kirlia again. His arm was healing, but it still wasn't fully healed yet. It would need another day or two before it could come out of the sling, probably. There'd be faint fang marks on his arm for a little while, too...but at least the damage wasn't permanent. He thanks Arceus and Ventus both for that.

When he exits the tent, he looks..wary. He does see Ventus is up already, which isn't surprising considering how long he slept. Nathan does stop to inform Ventus of his plans to train for most of the day, and doesn't have too much time to just sit down and chat.

Ventus was both glad and somewhat worried to see Nathan walk up to him in the morning. Happy because the row he had with them had not formed a schism between the two of them, but nervous because he was afraid they still where unbalanced since their encounter with Rattatta. When the boy chatted to him about his day's plans (Training for the most part; he really does want to be the very best!), Ven concerns only magnified when he detected a strong sense of unease and paranioa clouding the boy's mind.

Before they could wander away from him, the researcher hand snaked out to grab Nathan's, stopping them in their tracks. Looking up into the boy's eyes, he simply asked them: "What wrong, Nathan? Something has been troubling you greatly, and I'm not sure whether or not it has to do with me and my merciless actions from the night before. If you don't feel like discussing it now, you can always confind in me later when you feel confident enough."

(Mate, with Nathan on full Absol fright mode, and Ven's mind no longer clouded by Corsage or sleeplessness, he's going to notice that quickly. He left your character an out, so there that if Nathan doesn't feel chatty right now.)

(I figured he'd pick up on it, which is why I'm getting the start of that out of the way now.  Don't want it to be the main focus of Day 16 though if Absol doesn't actually show up)

Nathan stops immediately when Ventus grabs his hand.  He sighs.  "There's a lot to think about, Ven.  And a lot of dangerous pokemon out here.  I'm just staying on guard, is all.  After those wild pokemon we all faced, I don't want to drop my guard entirely.  You'd do the same, right?"

Ventus feels that Nathan isn't fully divulging the source behind his anxiety, but he doesn't try to push the issue right now. He wants his bond with Nathan to strengthen after their recent conflict, not become even more flayed from nagging at him like a mother hen. "I understand, my friend. I'm always vigilant for any danger that encroaches upon the group, so rest assured that I will alert everyone if something is amiss, or perhaps take care of the problem myself if its not too trying for me. Stay safe and be well in your team's training, Nate," he says, letting go of their wrist and waving them off. Now all their is left to do is talk to Shiva, and inquire how's she has been doing...

Ugh... Looks like Shiva spend a little too much time yesterday looking through her notes concerning Double Team and the book she 'lent' from the Healer in Wineberry. But it surely was interesting! According to her calculations, there was no special Pokemon nearby though. Fennekin was so generous to inflame a campfire as soon as it got dark and Nathan retreated inside the tent for rest, before the fox warmed himself up by lying nearby with his tail covering his snout, occasionally reeiving strokes through his yellowish fur.

It felt good to just stay there, by the campfire with some of her companion-Pokemon, while the stars shine down and the air if full of the scent of nighttime and the typical sounds of a forest... It felt refreshing.

She felt like she still hasn't gotten the mehcanics of Double Team yet, but that may because it's a move that reliies mostly on Psychic Power. Powers Shiva does not have. But powers Helios has! He already expressed some skill to create copies of himself, so if she'd explain what she knew so far to him, it should work. That is, as soon as she got him back into her party... Oh, how she wished for that Breeder's Lisence in such moments...

... In fact, due to all this, she was the last one to get up and leave tent. The instant tiredness will likely fade over the day and she'll be better and fine soon enough. Only problem was that she was out of coffee. Maybe she could ask Kirlia to teleport to the Pokemon Center, get some, and then teleport back... Eh, she highly doubted Nathan would allow this.

Seeing that he was out and alive already, she greeted the young Trainer, before... Oh my! Ven's back and alive again! From what she could tell, he was also in a relative fine and good mood. Must be the sleep he restocked on. She considered for a moment...before she outright tacklehugged him as a morning greeting!~ Because she's glad to see him  and - more important - that she noticed he felt uneasy and comfortable at the same time when she hugged him the last time, which was as he got his senses back and ceased killing the Rattata. Must be the mischievous Fairy in her.

The researcher in question perked up at the sight of Shiva leaving the tent, and was about to wave her over in greeting when she decided to give an energetic one herself. "Bwaaaah?!" Ventus shouted, knocked over by his friend Play Rough esque hug into an embrassed heap. Michael was sent catapulting into the air, and landed on the ground with a solid *Thud!*, looking very dazed from his unexpected flight. Apsis, meanwhile, reared up to her full height and let out a nasty *Hiiiiiissssss* at the fairy girl for assaulting her master in such a way. How dare do that to him?!

Just as she was about to picked her up and toss them off her master, Ventus' hand immedianlty shot into the air, halting any action from the giant, somewhat peeved snake. "Apsis...its ok. Shiva is just welcoming me good morning. Pay no mind to her antics...please," he said, still a little short on breath from the lass' sudden assault on his person. Not to mentioned very flustered and nervous, but he managed to keep that repressed inside him (She is cute when she's like this-No, don't think of her that way!). The Arbok gave the woman a glare, before she settled down by her master's side once more. That fae girl is lucky her master is such a forgiving person, hisssss!

Gently, he readjusted himself back into his sitting positon, Shiva still cling to him, and he let out a cough. "...Good Morning to you as well, my friend. I would have asked how you have been doing since our last night together, but I believe that rather pointless now, don't you agree? Oh, and if you are still interested in seeing that Stunky of mine, they should have healed by now, so I can let them out for you to play with for a bit. Be careful, though; they have both Night Slash and Poison Gas, so proceed with utmost caution. Apsis will assist you if there is any trouble, but if you change your mind, I wouldn't mind."

Apsis huffed at the thought of helping out that annoying girl, but she knew that she didn't, her master would be most cross at her. She didn't want that, so she kept mum on that part!

Order: If Shiva wants to play with Stunky for a bit (And do whatever with it), Ventus will let it out a little bit away from both of them, with Apsis on stand by if it tries anything funny. Otherwise, he'll wait for her to say anything she wants (Like say, for example, a double battle challenge?).

Stunky spends most of its time cowering. Part of disobedience is a lack of trust in its master. Since Stunky is too smart to try anything funny around Apsis, the best it can do is cower and try not to die or expend effort.
