Besides, given that Valder declined taking Ronin Spearow from me and there will be enough weapons for the bird to use (I highly doubt Sensei would refuse taking him from me), I see no point in trading the knife for one of the Sticks, you can keep them. Sorry about that! This means the knife will be in my possession for a while now, will use it for harmless activities like cooking/baking and harvesting herbs + berries. If Ven would like to have it back, you'd have to bring up a good reason why...

Yeah, Still need some training done for the pokemon, after all. Grid and Swiftfire could be close to another training roll since they just went 3 training sessions without one. And I need to get to work on developing that whole thing with Conversion, too.

But yeah, basically, Nathan's just gonna be sticking with Shiva for most of the day since there's plenty the two of them have planned to do already. What order the battle and the talk about Nathan's backstory happen in are up to you! (just remember Nathan wants to make absolutely sure there's nobody else around when the conversation happens. And that he also has some suggestions for Shiva with regards to becoming stronger, which he'll bring up before we start the battle.)

(Yes, @Iron, I really like this NPC.) Dunno, enjoy the beachside meanwhile? It shouldn't take that long. As for the talk+ battle, those could happen at a quiet spot of the beach as well, now to think about it... And yay, suggestions to become stronger! And money for my Breeder's Lisence!

Or he could just nick another one the next time he decides to bake in the Pokémon Center kitchens.He wants it back if Spearow won't use it, but he not going to torment you about it if he doesn't make a good argument for it.

He'll respect any boundaries Shiva wants to set.  She just needs to ask.  He'll wait until she's ready for the battle and conversation, but he does want to get both done today.

I do see one point in getting the Stick back, actually...didn't Shiva already promise the Spearow she'd get at least one of the sticks back for him?  Spearow might resent her a little if she sends him off and leaves without doing that first...and I'm sure Sensei would be much happier with the spearow if it didn't break training poles in two all the time to use as makeshift replacements.

The sensei is happy to take the Spearow, and sets him to work right away! "We're packing up the water theme today. Tomorrow, we will be a Flying dojo, with hoops and darts and big fans!"

Well, that's oddly convenient. He's going to have the perfect mascot for that theme now, too
