[Game thread] Skull Ruins Pokerole
"Maybe you didn't notice initially, Shiva, but Porygon is a Fighting type right now. I suggest you take advantage of that. Why it's a fighting type in the first place is the confusing part, though..."

On the strange glassy beach, Ventus hears nothing but silence and sees no sign of movement.

At one point, he thinks he hears a distant cry or howl or wail, but he has no idea what direction it comes from.

Michael spends some time piling the purple sand into big piles, vaguely reminiscent of castles.

"Alright, Shiva, while this practice for you is all well and good, let's turn it back up a notch. I don't intend to lose this battle, after all. If you can withstand what's coming, you'll have more than earned the victory."

During his recognizance of the odd yet beautiful beach , Ventus released Michael to help him with his watch and to keep from getting board. Unfortunately, besides the local wildlife crying out in the night , He detected nothing unusual or demonic entering the Sandy clearing.A few more hour of inactivity, and he came to the conclusion that remaining here any longer would be just as productive as twirling his thumbs.

Sighing, he returned Michael and exited the Bush he was hiding in and stretched his limbs, before looking At the strange tracks that lead away from the clearing. With a flick of his wrist, Ventus summoned Apsis, who looked around the clearing with a dubious gaze, before her master's voice caught her attension. "My sister, I need you to pick up the scent of these tracks and direct me towards it's skurce, or at least where they ultimately end. We have a most vexsome quarry to hunt down, so your assitence would be most welcome."

Order: Use Apsis to help tsearch for the creature that left these tracks. If nothing is found , Gen will just pick a spot to set up came and call it a night With Apsis serving as a night guard).

Oh, did he just hinted that she 1. suprised or cornered him in this battle or 2. has still a chance to turn things around and win this battle? How sweet to hear...

"Oh, you can do what you want. Besides, very well performance, both of my Fairies! Remember that you two will be rewarded for you eager. Nothing is in vain ot futile what you do for me." While Nathan received still a tone with concealed ice, the voice she spoke to her Pokemon was warm and filled with delight. Yes, she's capable of doing that.

It wasn't lost on him, that change in tone.  Well, not like he hadn't earned her ire since he'd had a pretty big lead before he held back a little...she was doing well, though, all things considered.

This was where the fight was going to reach the climax, though.  It all hinged on these next few moments...Nathan was fairly confident he still held victory in his palm, but he knew he'd shot himself in the foot by letting her more easily KO two of his strongest pokemon, and heavily damage his strongest afterwards.

He was okay with that, though.  He'd given her a chance to potentially win, and she was likely to have learned a lot from getting to apply some of those new concepts, whether she lost or won.  And this battle was definitely good training for his pokemon as well.

He smiles.  "They have indeed done a good job, Shiva.  As have you.  No hard feelings, no matter who wins, right?"  He pulls out the pokeball for his next pokemon.  "Enough talk, though.  Let's finish this."

"Again, you can do what you want. But it'd be a little foolish to think I would not react to it... It's just natural. Or at least, to me." She knew very well what he still had on hand, since she already saw him with these Pokemon. And mourned for her fierly fox for just a few moments.

One correction: It's not night yet.

Apsis flicks her tongue at a footprint, clearly picking up a scent. Yes, something was here....but then where did it go? There's nothing!

Ventus can only draw the conclusion that something came out of nowhere, left one print, then vanished. Then did it again, a few meters forward. Too far to have stepped as a single pace.
