Welp, Ventus is now in trouble.  Surrounded by 4 Delta Houndour (with who knows how many more in the shadows), and with no easy way out since Slowpoke can only Teleport once every 12 hours, and Togekiss can't really fly him out of there.

This is going to go south, fast.

When in doubt, try and scare the heck out of your enemies! If Ventura dies, he's going to die fighting to his last breath, with his trusty Pokémon along side him! No mercy!!!

Unfortunately, Houndour aren't exactly known for their mercy and cowardice...threatening them like that is probably just going to make them angrier.  And there's probably more than enough of them there to overwhelm Ventus eventually.  Particularly since he has no spread moves to try and deal with them all at once.

Now, if Nathan checks up on Shiva (using say, delivering one of the Lemonades to her room as an excuse) and Kirlia notices something strange going on, maybe he could do something about it.  That's a bit of a long shot, though...I imagine if something happens to one Shiva though, the other will react in some way as well...

If I die, I die. I rather have Iron spare Phantom's character from the same fate, if at a all possible however. Just because I'm ready to go down like the Titanic doesn't mean I want Shiva to share the same fate.

Besides, if I kill enough of them, they will maybe Cotten on to the idea that fighting a guy that's mowing them down isn't the smartest of moves. Even predators have survival instincts, you know.

The irony is that the easiest way to prevent that would probably have been locking the door to that cage from the inside, wait out the night. Guess Ventus was too enraged to take full notice of that. Now Shiva's potentially in just as much danger as Ventus puts himself in.

He thought of that, but disregarded it because he figured that locking yourself in an ominous cage your best friend was almost trapped in was about as sound of an idea as jumping into a pit of quicksand. He's not going to trusts those structures after seeing Shiva in one, especially one he teleported to mysteriously.

Whoahw. Ven is such a hero... Too bad Shiva in-character will never know a thing about it (right, Iron? It seems to me not more than a dream. Maybe the unconscious mind being far away) unless Ven tells her... But I'm sure this will have a huge impact on their friendship/how Ven behaves around her after his 'trip'.

@Iron, your Storyteller-Skills do amaze me.

Well, hero or not, he's also brutalizing these Houndour as much as he can. And while Shiva probably does think it's nothing more than a dream, it'd be a rather...strange dream, I'm sure. Filled with fire and death and yelling and fear...shudder.

Of course, Shiva is free to interpret this 'dream' however she wishes if she's partially aware of what's happening on that side of things...but I personally think it would be pretty disturbing on some level.

And yup, agreed on @Iron doing a good job with the story telling. Now let's hope it doesn't get anyone killed...

I still feel like Shiva is not really 'in danger', given the cage was not locked and it did seem to me like she was doing okay in her sleep. It all started as she decided to wear that black tuft of fur as a hidden necklace, because it was something special - the thought of a mysterious creature paying a nocturnal visit, dangerous or not, excited her in silence.

When you dream of Ventus, things are rarely simple as one expects. Ven doesn't realize he's in a dream, only that he is somewhere not very nice, and endeavor to get out of said bad place. One thing's for certain, though : Ventus is going to become very protective over Shiva. Or, to be more accurate, far more so than ever before. Nothing triggers his buttons like some he deeply cares about being set upon by danger!

Of course, Shiva is free to interpret this 'dream' however she wishes if she's partially aware of what's happening on that side of things...but I personally think it would be pretty disturbing on some level.

The human mind rather quickly forgets a dream nocturnal dream upon waking up, so I believe she might only remember things like "There was howling... Blood... And you, Ven." It's not a lucid dream, either.
