He'd have to notice it first.  I think the best explanation would be it's a moving light, as opposed to a stationary one, seeing as Houndour don't constantly glow like a Ponyta does, and torches aren't exactly mobile unless there's ghosts involved.

Up to @Iron though if Ventus notices that (or maybe he'd notice Illuminate instead if Nathan does end up having to battle the doggies after all?), and it's up to you to determine if Ventus would even turn around and look in the first place...

In other news, these Delta Houndour are like a big carrot dangling in front of my face. Houndoom is one of my favorite Johto pokemon, and these Delta ones are my favorite type (psychic) on top of that...now I'm trying to think of a reason Nathan might try to catch one...

Kirlia runs into another room and comes back bearing four blankets and two pillows. He gives some to Nathan, and stares at him.

Oh, looks like both Ven and Nathan will sleep over in my dorm? I hope you people don't mind the hint of mystic there, with some candles and the Dream Catcher I left there as we went for the camping trip.

Helios still guards over me, and I assume the salt circle around my bed is still there. Whether it's unharmed, depends on how careful Nathan was as he visited me. However, he does not know I still own a package if it in bagpack, since I inly mentioned it to Ven as we spoke there in the Dojo.

....Mate, these are borderline demonic entities. Iron even alluded to their nature when Raphael went full Sky Attack glory upon the abominable mutts. Ven would outright kill any of them before your character has a chance to catch them if the end up grouping together, so I guess this is a mute point.

Also, if you want me to wake your character up, I can do so @PhantomUnderYourDesk . No need for you to be kept unconscious after he has killed all the animals!

I've concluded that Ventus is still snoozing on that beach in the middle of who knows where.  When he wakes, that's where he'll be.  Teleport probably worked the way it did because he used it in that dreamscape, not in the real world.

Nathan (and Kirlia), however, is most certainly currently napping in Shiva's room currently.  Not sure about whether the salt circle is unbroken, though...
