I could give you a thousand reasons to better NOT catch one...

And there's quite a few FOR catching one as well.  He'd handle it with caution if he caught one, obviously.

There is a huge difference between handling with care and approaching a normal exemplar of the Houndour-Evolution-line and a dream-demon-Delta-exemplar, I doubt anyone of us is really capable of ever controling one of these.

In other news, these Delta Houndour are like a big carrot dangling in front of my face.  Houndoom is one of my favorite Johto pokemon, and these Delta ones are my favorite type (psychic) on top of that...now I'm trying to think of a reason Nathan might try to catch one...

....Mate, these are borderline demonic entities. Iron even alluded to their nature when Raphael went full Sky Attack glory upon the abominable mutts. Ven would outright kill any of them before your character has a chance to catch them if the end up grouping together, so I guess this is a mute point.

Also, if you want me to wake your character up, I can do so @PhantomUnderYourDesk . No need for you to be kept unconscious after he has killed all the animals!

They're Houndour.  That kind of reaction is to be expected from hellhounds.  They're still pokemon, and quite mysterious ones at that...plus, Delta pokemon is just another type of regional variant (Deltas in the TCG originate from a region known as Holon).  Nathan might be looking a little more into this out of pure curiosity...

Also, Shiva is completely out cold since she has no Will points.  'Waking her up' won't be easy, if it's even doable...

Ventus ' only interest in the dogs begin and end at the words 'Kill them all.' He won't entertain any ideas in keeping any in captivity at all, and will throw up a HUGE fit over it if Nathan actually captures one. In his state of mind, pissing off Ventus is a wholly unsound idea...

Ven will just let Shiva sleep for now, then. No need for her to be trapped and AWAKE in the nightmare hellscape...

I just noticed something guys: The Sky Attack that killed one of Ven's Houndour is also metaphorically deadly! All its Accuracy successes came up 4, it did exactly 4 damage (Coincidently the required damage to outright KO them), giving a grand total of 4444.( 3 Four from Accuracy, o from the amount of damage the attack did). The dice REALLY must of waited to smite that doggy...

Hey, don't forget about Nathan! He's in hot pursuit once he gets past those Houndour, after all!

And he's actually sort of aware of what's going on too, unlike Ventus and Shiva.

But as far as I am getting it, Nathan does not know Ventus is somewhere around? All that Iron said is that he hears sounds of a combat, shouting and growling - how he interprets this, is up to him - and is in significant run distance from Ven. Ventus himself does not discern Nathan is there according to him.

That is the issue. He knows Shiva is there somewhere, though. And the combat was a rather distinct sound. As good a place as any to start looking, right?
