[Meta thread] Iron's PokeRole Adventure: The Skull Ruins
@Dragonstrike, @Lord Windos and @Iron, if you want so badly to be fine with one another again AND can live with the thought that Ventus broke his best friend's promise, do what you want. I'm not giving my mission away, not only because I feel Gamemaster put effort into it.

But one word to Shiva or the Daycare owners OR ANYONE about it, no matter from who, and she'll be either very bitter and depressed or trigger a vile witch in her. Both, if things get worse. I'll plan to level up Insight to 5, so even without empathic skills, both Ventus and Nathan would have to be careful to prevent her from noticing a thing.

The only thing that needs to be said is that it involves bringing down Almanac, nothing more. He'll understand perfectly after that. The issue can't really wait until after the plot's rising action/climax is over, either. It's boiled over too much.

Who says it could have varying effects though...

If Kirlia ends up telling him, that's a bad sign. It likely means Kirlia's not feeling very confident Ventus and Shiva are concerned enough about Nathan's well being and is becoming a bit more distrustful of them.

If Shiva tells him, then that fixes almost everything. It'll still take time to fully heal, but it's the most effective solution. The least likely event to happen though, unfortunately.

If Ventus tells him, then Nathan will still have reason to be distrustful of Shiva. That's going to be hard to fix, and it's going to be REALLY painful for him. This includes if Ventus says it before Nathan storms out of the Center, and it might not even change the end result.

By the thousand gods, Phantom, we are not asking you to involve us in your mission, nor for you to involve us outside of knowing about it. Is it that distasteful for you to even find some way to work this out between us, my love? Please...

So, how about Ventus could bring the issue about Nathan up to me while up there checking on me in dorm, explain things to her, and magically presuade Shiva to open up to Nathan that "I can't tell you the whole mission. It has to do with bringing down The Almanac. Maybe you should know that.. No more of this. End of topic."

That won't happen right away, but soon enough if Nathan stays there at the camp. Maybe around evening of Day 18. Sounds alright?

That... sounds fine to me, darling, but what about you, @Dragonstrike? Is Nathan going to be alright for that long?

He could use the time to sort his own thoughts and deal with Delta Houndour, since he took it with him. Shiva is a person who gives people space if needed.

Guys, I'm going to get a showers, then do some other business (Like see if I can't get my computer fixed, finally), so it will be a while before I can post. Sorry about this...

It would show that Shiva is at least somewhat concerned about this outburst and Nathan's well being and friendship (depending on how she phrases it). Ventus would have likely picked up on at least a little of the reasoning Nathan had for it, and might be able to explain to her that it's mainly trust issues that caused it.

The explanation not being right away is fine. Nathan has to cool off a little first. I was intending for him to hang out there for at least the remainder of the day to do that (and other things, like Houndour) since this issue is a big deal for him. There could be issues with contacting him the same day, unfortunately. He might be willing to look at sent messages later in the day, but returning them right away isn't a guarantee.

Also, a little off topic, but concerning Houndour, Nathan will show him to Ventus and Shiva eventually, but it won't be willingly until he's certain the doggie isn't in any danger from Ventus. Shiva being uncomfortable with it is not something he's aware of yet, but if it's brought up, there's another thing factoring into the delay. At least until Nathan's certain he can keep Houndour under control and show Shiva there's not much of a reason to be nervous about that one in particular.

That settles it then. I hope we all can be happy with that solution in the end.

As for the Houndour... Well, you saw what she did with her former fascination for the mysterious creature. She won't hate Nathan for owning one of these dogs, but she will hate the Houndour itself, no matter how well Nathan has the dog under his control. But please do me a favor and never bring Houndour close to my Espurr...

I'm waiting for you in Game Thread then, see you later and take care~

Can't make any promises about Houndour not meeting Espurr as long as Nathan doesn't know about the potential problems with that meeting.

Being a Creshire native and an extremely caring trainer, he's not going to appreciate any hatred towards his pokemon. A pokemon is still a pokemon in the end, and this Houndour is...different from the rest. To what extent, Nathan doesn't know. But leaving its original pack is a rather big deal, and not a light decision...if it were just like all the other Houndour, then it would have just ignored him and disappeared with the rest of the pack.

There's a LOT of reasons Nathan picked up that Houndour, both in and out of character.

He'll be as respectful about any squeamishness about it being present as he can, though. He knows there's good reason for it.
