Parasect: (4) + 2 Dex + 3 Survival = 9
Apsis: (1) + 5 = 6

Placing a wager on the Challenge board, Ventus waited bloodily until he found himself facing a herbalist named Maize. His own negative mood lightened at the mention of his occupation, as he's interest in the medicinal value of plants himself! "After this match, would you perhaps care to share your knowledge with me. My own mother taught me herb lore at a young age, so I would love to expand my own knowledge on the subject!"

Michael, upon being called out to the battle field and found himself fight along side Apsis once more, immediantly took cover behind her, ready to Strike out against that Parasect! The shroom has learned the value of keeping his sister between him and the opposition, and he didn't want to get pummeled badly! Apsis herself wasted no time in debilitating  the enemy, simply opting to rapidly using Fire Fang in quick succession on Parasect! She may not be able to eat the trainer's Pokémon, but she still loves the taste of roasted insect!

Order: Michael is going to hide out behind Apsis, letting her take any blow that would deal damage to him while Striking at the Parasect once per round. Apsis will use Fire Fang twice per round on Parasect until it's fainted, then use a Thunder Fang twice per round on Politoed. If Parasect uses Spore or a Sleeping move, Ventus will use an Awakening on Apsis/Michael before they attack. Let's see what surprises they have...

Moves:

Strike
Accuracy: DEX (2) + Fight (2) + Brawl (2) = Pool 6
Damage: STR (2)+ 2

Fire Fang
Accuracy: Pool 6 -3/4 (For each Consecutive action) = Pool 3 on First attack, Pool 2 on second.
Damage: STR (2) + 2 + Super Effective Damage (+2) = 4d6 + 2
Effect: *Burn 2* *Flitch 2*

Thunder Fang
Accuracy: Same as Fire Fang's
Damage: 4d6 + 1
Effect: *Paralysis 2* *Flitch 2*

Thankfully, Kirlia had no objections, even if he did seem sadder and more concerned than usual.

Upon arriving, Nathan scouts the area, just in case, though Kirlia doesn't come with him for some odd reason...

The area looks safe for now...but if he ends up staying overnight...he didn't know if he'd be able to face Ventus and Shiva by then, though...better keep an eye on that trail...no telling what might come down it later...

When he returns to camp, he finds Kirlia has constructed...something.  It's all a bit of a tangled mess, really.  And then Kirlia tugs on a string, making the whole thing move.  Does some sort of...karate chop? A string breaks, and it all comes unraveled...

It takes a moment for Nathan to register what Kirlia's trying to tell him...

"Kirlia...are you...trying to tell me why you evolved?" It's the only logical explanation, considering what just happened.  Kirlia nods.

Nathan just walks over to a tree and sits down next to it.  "I'm sorry, Kirlia...I don't understand what you're trying to say...they're not going to tell me though, are they?"

Nathan puts his head in his hands, and a faint sobbing can be heard for a few minutes.  He just doesn't understand why they won't tell him...why it has to remain 100% secret...he just wanted to know a small why, not a big secret...was that so much to ask when it concerned his best friend directly?

Kirlia does his best to be comforting. There's only so much he can do, but Nathan thinks perhaps there is a new resolve to Kirlia.

Seeing Ventus leave caused...some interesting reaction in her. It felt like something cracked deep inside. Something deeeeep inside. Something she hasn't realised being there before.

It felt like being abandoned. Practically being left on her own when she was in need for other's care. It was plain...hurting. Still, she didn't do anything to prevent Ven from leaving. She knew trying to keep him there now won't be possible. That...only increased the pain.

As he was gone, Shiva let herself sink back into pillow and called her batch of Psychic (and future Psychic) Types to her. Wasn't even needed, since they came to her on their own. Must have felt that Master was anything than fine again, after she just became better... Psychic Types, alongside Fairies, seem to be prone to their caretaker's emotions.

My dear, your emotions are running wild again.
...Leave me alone.
Stop sheding those bitter tears.
...But...I don't want to...

Old, OLD spats between those who are natural brilliant fighters and those who are not. Additionally to that one between more quiet people in their comfortable background and those who greatly enjoy the spotlights. Shiva had more than enough of being underestimated and not taken for full. Her words weren't meant against Nathan directly, but looks like Ventus took them as they were.

Still she needed to solve that issue. It just...had to be done. Keeping Helios, Fennekin and even Kyuu close to her, she typed up a message in cell with somewhat shaky hands and sent it to Nathan. It read as following:
"Nathan, you there? Where are you now? Ven told me about the issues. I decided I should let you know a little about why your dearest Ralts evolved. Tell me where you are where to meet you, is today's evening fine? I can teleport using my Abra anyway, so meeting up is no problem. If you...decide to decline or I don't show up, keep in mind that I deeply care for you. Take care and stay safe."

Afterwards, she silently placed cell onto the floor. There was her salt circle... Completed with just a gap in it. Broken. Like she was, currently. Right... The selfblame came again and threatened to devour her without mercy. She could just await the night, send the Pokemon she collected so far to her father's care in Castelia City, then damn everything and head to the shore... None would even know until next morning. None would even CARE. Enough of this. She didn't grow older than 19 and would never see an evolution of her own Pokemon, but honestly she didn't care about this just now.

Wait... her own thoughts began to scare her. They practically SCARED THE HELL OUT OF HER. The mind was a powerful thing, and as prone as Shiva was to positive emotions, as prone she was to hate, fear and despair. She wasn't that strong like Ven was during loosing all his family members.

So, she just stayed there, occassionally stroking through Fennekin's yellow or Kyuu's grey fur, and awaited the further happenings or darkness falling over Corsage... What a lovely setting for an end.

"Oi! Remember when your Cottonee rumbled around in my garden, picking up shards? I had a request for a similar job, from the docks. There's a big ship at dock - the HMS Challenging Gaze, you may have seen it. Apparently there's a network of struts below it, and some items have fallen down in there. They want someone small, with some small mobile Pokemon, to crawl in there and retrieve the items. Just go talk to a sailor named Fellman and he'll tell you the details."

Hours passed since Shiva awoke from that lucid dream, grew fond of owning a small Espurr and enjoyed Ventus' visit. The grey kitten has been registered to a Pokeball as well - Shiva felt a Dream Ball would be perfect, but she didn't own one of these sadly - and sent to Plusle to the PC in return. She was feeling way better meanwhile, at least physically. Good enough to leave the Pokemon Center, stil taking care of course.

As she was just there mulling over things and doing her best to prevent too much tears from wettening her pillow, Nurse Joy came in and relevaled the request from the Fortune Hunter! She was overjoyed over both The Hunter keeping a hold on her as well as well the ooprtunity to 1. do something to get her vivid mind off things and 2. seeing the huge ship from earlier again. Before she left though, she stopped by at the PC in Lobby and deposited Minun onto PC while withdrawing Kyuu and the black-spotted egg. It pained her a little te leave her Electrci rodents, but she wished to have the Espurr with her and since she was running around anyway with Fennekin in party, the egg as well.

From what Shiva could tell, the atmosphere in Corsage was indeed...a little different, now that she was out and not just looking at the streets from inside her dorm. Yet she couldn't tell what exactly it was, but that doen't matter that much now since she was greatly enjoying this 'shift'.

It didn't take long to reach harbour, the HMS was still ther in all her might. It excited her to get the chance to see the ship from the inside. Th only issue was how to find that person called Fellman... But if she'd look out for sailors that seem to be in ahigher position, she'd have to find him eventually, shouldn't she?

Shiva asked a few sailors until she was directed to the sailor in charge of cleaning out the underbelly of the ship.

"Yeah, I'm Fellman, who are you? Shiva, is it? Well, during our voyage, some Rattata and other Pokemon carried some items down into the undercarriage of the ship. We'll give you $25 for every Berry you recover, $50 for every PokeBall, and $75 for every Potion. Then you can keep one item for yourself when you resurface, at least if you've found most of them. We estimate we dropped or lost about 15 items. These Rattata are pretty shy of people, but if you can find their nests you'll find multiple items at once, I figger. What do you say?"

Ahahahaha... Rattata triggered some memories. Some she would rather lock away. Despite her somewhat unstable condition right now, Shiva did well hide anything concerning that from being visble to the outside.

However, dear Fortune Hunter wasn't lying, this opportunity was perfect. It didn't required pure physical strength - something she did not have - and concentration as well determination, and will likely help her to get better thoughts. Item obtaining sounded tempting as well, and she delighted to be some sort of help.

Her voice was normal and soft. No point in showing some weakness. She was fine, even if she had to lie to herself. Thing will become better. For now, concentrate on the curent situation. "Right, that's what they call me. I'd be...more than glad to help out! Just show me the way. I'll take care not to shy the rats away but instead defeat them, if possible and accepted."

Herbalist Maize Round 3

,(Apsis has Shed Skin , so did that remove PAR in round two? Cause Fire Fang would only have 1 Accuracy dice to work with )

Ventus scowled a little as Parasect managed to Paralyze his mighty Apsis , though that expersion was soon replaced by his usual serene calmness. Ventus nodded his head at the herbalist advicel, noting it down in memory before he began issuing commends to his Pokemon . "Apsis , tough out the paralsis and use Glare to inflict it on that annoying Politoed, then reach up a Thunder Fang. Michael, stop hiding behind your sister and intercept those Mud Shots before they reach her , and heal off the damage with Absorb. Let us end this battle sdecisively."

rOrder: Apsis will use Glare in Round 3, then commit to a Single Thunder Fang each round after. Michael will attempt to block Mud Shot from Politoad and use Absorb twice per Round to quickly wear it down.

"We don't really care what you do to the rats, I just don't want you to be afraid."

He leads you to a trapdoor in the deck, which leads to a system of riveted beams, both steel and wooden. He also hands you a headlamp and 50' of rope. "You can keep that."

Shiva drops down into the space. Fellman calls down, "There are trapdoors like this one at each end of the ship, and one at the bottom which will drop you into the cargo hold. Use any of those if you can't get back to this one for any reason."

She sees a wide steel beam running along the length of the ship, going slightly down. There's also a broad wooden beam going the width of the ship, slightly bowed up in both directions. It looks like the steel beam will offer more choices of smaller beams to head off on, but there is a lot more space to maneuver along the wooden beam.
