Ventus' second battle will be against Aron and Croagunk, led by Iceskipper Marshall.

Ariel: (6) + 5 = 11
Croagunk: (5) + 2 Dex + 3 Survival = 10
Aron: (3) + 5 = 8
Lucifer: (2) + 5 = 7

Apparently someone was watching his last battle ,  for be was soon challenged by an a Iceskipper named Marshall, and Ven ' s eyes narrowed as be wsaw thier brawlers of htheirs: a Crogunk and Aron. ' If the Crogunk has Dry Skin, using Bubble will be woefully ineffective , but I need Aron removed from the fight before they can ground Lucifer. Hmm... ' the researcher pondered , before making his decision.

"Ariel , Harden yourself for the battle ahead , then deal with Crogunk using Tackle. If you sustain to much damage in a short amount of time , focus on Recovering from it in the future. Lucifer , commit to using only Supersonic on Crogunk until they feel it's effects , then pay into them with a buffet of Gusts. We need to deal with it , before it has a chance to wear your sister down to a pebblpebble!

Order : Ariel will use Harden first , before attempting to Tackle Crogunk into gunk Once per round ! If she sustains half her mad HP damage this round, she will focus on only using Recover to patch up her , then attempt to evade that round . uLucifer will use Supersonic on Crogunk until its acting silly , before launching into however many Gust Attacks it can get away with on hthe rounds after Confus procs .

Thankfully, the afternoon passed by mostly uneventfully.  Nothing Shiva needed to know about immediately, anyways.  If something did happen between the introductions to Houndour and now, only Nathan and his pokemon knew.

The hound was rather indifferent to the nickname, though Nathan felt that Orthros may have liked being called unique.  He understood that Orthros was only there because he chose to be, and Orthros understood that there was reason to not fully trust him currently.  Given time, that could change.  Though the hound seemed displeased at the stern order to not attack the one who'd killed his friends, he made no aggressive actions...yet...

After that, Nathan had recalled Houndour.  He sent the combee to gather some more honey, thanking them again for all their hard work.  He had Starmie work on manipulating its Illuminate to try and daze opponents.  Grid practicing with creating loud noises to lower the opponent's defenses.

And then Nathan sat down with Kirlia to try and meditate and hone his partner's psychic powers.  Something seemed...strange about them ever since they'd left that nightmare...

When Shiva arrives, the tail end of the training (and the Combee returning from their honey collection for the day) is what she stumbles upon. Nathan's sitting in the middle of the clearing with Kirlia.

Haha, looks like the Pokemon were more brave than their owner. They seemed alright and not minding being alone down here, while Shiva herself was...not that confident to really 'feel fine' down here. But she accepted the job offer, no way that she returns now! If she'd get hurt down here, none would probably come for her help, though. That thought was creepy... But...she wasn't alone down here, was she? Her Pokemon were by her side. They're faithful to her. Somehow, that thought was soothing and provided needed Strength to move on.

...Luckily, she did not get hurt as she felt bold enough to act in the hope to ambush any rats down here. It seemed that it was...the right decision in the end, since that accident fall led her to what seemed to be a nest of the Ratata! How fortunate... Encouraged by that partial success, she packed all the berries away. She was supposed to bring them back on deck and hand them to Fellman, if she was not mistaken.

Whle doing so, she also picked up what seemed to be biting remarks on some of the cardboard containers. Wasn't very hard to cotton on where they originated from. She called out for her magical fox.

"Fennekin, you see that biting remarks here?" *she showes them to fox* "I wish for you to pick up the scent. Since we are hunting for them but they have sports home-field advantage down here, it'll make searching for them much easier. The best thing seems also not only to take the items they stole, but also faint the Rattata to show their beahviour is not accepted, so prepare to counter them, please. If we stumble into any battle, prepare to cast a Lucky Chant. We need that fortune down here."

Just as Shiva was about to get up and move on though, a clear and close(!) snapping sound caught her attention. Pointing the beam of light into that direction, a little scared of what she will see, the source seemed to a real and vivid Totodile. But the first thought she got was that THIS exemplar was not just biting people for fun or playfulness. This exemplar had something intimidating about it.

Before she could decide what to do with it though, she noticed that she was pointing the light onto it and most likely blinding it... Eh... Guess we should prepare for a battle then?

If we battle feral Totodile, so be it then. Battle start! I'll use Fennekin and new Espurr in the first Round, but will switch out in Round 2.

This takes place after I (hopefully successfully) completed wished miniquest.
It gets the same theme as revelations to Ventus! It's so unkind.


Seeing that Nathan did not send another message to postpone meeting up - that meant that he was fine and safe, was he? Likely. Hopefully. - Shiva decided it was...time to come up with clearing the matters. It had to be done, although just thinking of it pained her deep inside. But the pain of leaving him in the dark and causing him to literally run away was stronger. Or rather, more venomous.

She called out her Helios and, still fearful of what will await her, gently ordered him to teleport to the campingsite they were before. That one where Honey Party took place, so her Abra was not unfamiliar of the spot. Ah, Honey Party...that was a precious memory. When things were fine. How she wished to return to that time and undo horrible things from happening...

As she arrived there, Nathan was indeed present. With his dear Kirlia beside him, both seemed to meditate... Ah, Ventus did that too when things go mad. A Starmie was around as well - when did he evolve it? Likely while she was knocked out, huh - and faint crys of a Joltik were audible.

Shiva called out Fennekin and gently asked the fox to nudge Nathan 'awake' like he already did before, before Shiva placed herself near to the firepit; silence, gloom serenity and fear surounded her. The pit was warm even without a fire crackling there, it gave a cozy feeling.

Shiva arrives in time to hear a horrible screeching noise, the clattering of many arthropoidal body parts as Grid gets a training roll.

Kirlia had informed Nathan that Shiva had arrived already.  There hadn't been any need for Fennekin to be sent.

Particularly when the screeching startles both Nathan and Kirlia out of their meditation, their hands shooting up to their heads to cover their ears (and consquently, also hurting the poor fox's already sensitive ears).  Nathan hadn't thought Grid had been that close to learning the move...

Once it stops, they cautiously uncover their ears..."Gah...wasn't expecting Grid to learn Screech so quickly...you okay, Shiva?"

Fennekin backed away at the screeching noise in agressive hissing, before he leaped into his owner's lap to chirp at her and curl up there. Master was a good person... The fireplace felt cozy as well to the fox. Someday, he will be able create patterns out of the embers of fire pits using his new basswood stick.

Thankful for the fox's liking for her (and showing that by the ususal soft strokes through his yellowish fur), Shiva glimplsed at Nathan in a...mournful way, before looking away to concentrate on the fire pit again. (Something about that pit was so interesting!) She can't look him into the eye just now.

Her voice was still somewhat weak in the undertones, now that there was no job or quest to distract her. She promised herself to not shed any tears in front of Nathan though, she'll struggle to stay strong like the last time when he opened up to her about Ralts' origin. "Fine, you ask... Well, physically I think so. Emotionally, not really."

„Nathan... I came to you in the end. In fact, I came with a piece of the truth. Will you listen this time? I do hope so. No more. I have...enough of this... Enough of everything. Damn it all. I love that secret I am keeping, I hold it dear and close, but hearing that it all drove you away from us because you greatly struggle to let go of he issue changed my mind in the end. Nathan sighs, sounding really sad, and also not really able to look straight at Shiva either.  "You know, I was wondering if you were going to change your mind on it again...decide to leave me in the dark anyways...I'm...glad you didn't...if I may ask though, what changed your mind in the first place?  Was it really because of...me running off so suddenly?"

He knows he doesn't need to know that...but it would nag at the back of his mind if he didn't ask.
